I'm sad I'll have to wait longer, but is as they always say... I'd rather have healthy workers making the game with passion instead of suffering with crunch and deadlines. Can't wait to support this one when it comes out!
Great, I'm in the last Episode of Skywalker Saga (aka the worst one) and I could really use some incentive to finish it. Load times in that game are atrocious
@fenlix It depends. Brazil is the seventh-largest economy in the world, alone responsible for more than 40% of Latin America's economy. But that money isn't distributed equally. So few people are very rich and the vast majority is very poor, or at least doesn't have a lot of money to spend on trivial things like videogames. It's a big market here anyway, but most people can't really buy triple A launch games at full price all the time because that's too much of their salary. Like, I've got two Switch 2 games so far, I'll eventually buy Bananza, but I can't really justify paying that much for a new game now.
Hey guys, this is a retweet, why are the writers of NintendoLife not crediting the creator who originally posted the video? @rodrigocoelhoc is a Brazilian videogames influencer who now lives in Japan and focuses on Nintendo content. Really weird that you're highlighting the retweet instead of the author
I was selected, but my Switch 2 will arrive during the test, so I think I'll wait to download the game there because it might not carry over with the transfer
Interesting. For reference, Age of Calamity is indeed rated ages 10 and above here in Brazil, for violence and in-app purchases. So Age of Imprisonment will probably be a liiiittle more violent
And to rub salt to the wound it will also be available in Brazilian Portuguese, a language Game Freak never bothered to translate Pokémon too. Yeah, I'm quite salty about that (Nintendo JUST added Brazilian Portuguese to freaking BotW and TotK btw)
Guys, I know it's not your fault but I'm Brazilian and can't access tweets anymore, so for these articles a printscreen would be very much appreciated.... I was curious to see it. Thanks 🙃
I think the Brazilian dub actor (who frequently does Chris Pratt roles) sounds more Spanish than Italian, but he is clearly going stronger for the accent than Pratt is.
@DanskCarvalho I wouldn't define the word in those strong terms, but definitely as a super fan or someone who prefers Nintendo over the competition. But that might be a regional difference. Anyway, it's s Brazilian fan term being regularly used in official capacities, and that is very impressive by itself.
@Agent_P I'll be honest, never heard anyone refer to them specifically, so I couldn't tell. What you came up with is basically impossible to pronounce haha
Senpai is finally noticing me cries in brazilian language It's interesting to note that Doug Bowser used the fan term "Nintendista", something that the (very new) Nintendo official channels and events in Brazil have been doing recently, which is super lovely. It basically means something akin to "Nintendeer" or "Nintendo-head": it's how we call a Nintendo fan over here (PlayStation fans are referred as "Sonysta", for instance).
I just wish the dance battles weren't card based, but just regular a RPG system or even a rhythm mini game. I love the concept of eliminating violence from the battles, but why the hell use cards for that?
Thanks for pointing out in the article how much a console costs relative to the money earned in the country, this helps to make people realize how wide is the gap between money value in other countries. I've seen some people spending an absurd amount of money (pre-ordering the same game twice in two places, buying Pokémon double-packs, etc) and complaining around here and other places that those who don't do that are too cheap, yeah, it's not as easy for everyone to buy games as it is for you. It's an important distinction to make.
@Giancarlothomaz and in which of those an entirely new game style released in the begining of the same year? Legends Arceus could have changed everything, but they decided not to
I also wasn't expecting a new gen so early, but if it follows Arceus gameplay I'm all in! Also, it looks like Spain, which seems nice. Not a huge fan of the starters though. I just hope they get to make it look prettier....
I label this under "Brazilian erasure". Come on! Hitmontop doesn't breakdance, he's a capoeira fighter! I can't believe there isn't a single capoeira fighter in whatever Latin neighbourhood they shot this at (...Washington heights? Listen, I barely know all neighbourhoods in my own city) Anyway, yeah, it's time to canonically rebolar to Pokémon rhymes about Pidgeotto and "defeat enemies", what a time to be alive
My god they get those horrible clothes gifted from other villagers AND THEN THEY JUST DISPLAY THEM in their houses since they don't have cupboards, I give them cupboards AND THEY DONT STORE THEIR CLOTHES I wanna die!! I'll go through all the hoops to gift them stuff and then rearrange then just please please let me do this Nintendo
@Matroska that's not what he meant by it. He said "that's not the voice", as in "that's not the voice I did", meaning he's done it already. He has to, otherwise the movie wouldn't be coming out next year at all, animation takes a lot of time. He won't show the voice he did yet because marketing for the movie will decide the best moment to reveal it (a teaser trailer most likely)
@MH4 just a heads up, all those voices have been recorded for a while now. Animated movies take a long time to make and the animators create using the cast voices and even body language as inspiration/reference for what they're animating.
@Anti-Matter probably around the same time French Revolution Kalos had castles and a giant battle: 3000 years ago 😂 Don't worry, we'll soon arrive in the 90s, an era full of teleporting (both pets and humans inside buildings) and digitally creating animals.... Meaning, none of it matters, the Pokémon world is it's own thing. There are Hawaiian and New Yorker animals roaming around Hokkaido brought by a fully international expedition team. It's not tied to the real world
Out of the tree, I love Rowlet more, but I've used him in the past two generations already and I think I need to count for variety in my play style. I like the idea of playing with a samurai in this setting but I've never like Oshawott's line design much, and Cyndaquil was one of the starters I used back in Pokémon Crystal so yeah, I think I'll be revisiting this porcupine boy for Legends.
But we have "Pokémon Gun" already, it's Eternatus. He is hollow and shoots a huge Dynamax beam, he is the cannon that compliments the sword and the shield. (Also as said above Remoraid is a pistol and Intelleon has a water gun)
@Kirgo The Old Man could be hand waved with logic, but I saw a video with a similar concept in which a guy makes Beedle meet another Beedle. EXPLAIN THAT! (I'm just joking, of course)
