Re: New Limited-Time Seasonal Items Have Appeared In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

@TioRogerio I live in the state capital of Paraná and could barely remember Festa do Peão existed. I'm not against them acknowledging it, I'm against them doing it INSTEAD of doing Festa Junina, which is basically the second-largest Brazil-specific holiday (or at least with a specific regional aesthetic spin on it), bested only by Carnaval. And they WILL do Carnaval (as "Festivale") already, they've done it for years and Pavé was in the Direct.

Super weird! I spent the whole month of June complaining about Father's Day and Children's Day (two celebrations that in Brazil happen in August and October respectively) and now they do a Brazilian festival (also celebrated in Uruguay and Argentina), but it's a very niche and local rodeo style festival I barely know when it's held, instead of doing something nation-wide like Festa Junina ("June Party"), which could've been an easy wall-flag reskin. Oh well, we'll always have our more famous Carnaval (Or Festivale I guess) to look forward to

Re: Rumour: Rocketman Actor Is Reportedly Attached To A Tetris Movie

dux

Yeah, that's the right path to go. They can milk the tetrimino's famous designs as much as they want for the promotional material and actuallly manage to do a compelling story. Might even have some interesting touches regarding the Soviet Union's view of technology and cultural differences between the USA? Ok don't let me get my hopes up, I'm actually getting interested

Re: A New Patch Is In The Works For The Switch Version Of The Outer Worlds

dux

I still wanna play this game and I was ready to buy it until the reviews came in. Games are too expensive for me to pay this steep price. In my opinion, they should've changed the art style from pseud-realistic to full on bright cartoon cel-shaded. It would've worked better with the textures and lightning. I'll say how this new patch goes though, and if it's good enough, I'll definitely support them and buy it. But only then

Re: Pokémon Café Mix Is Now Available For Free On The Switch eShop

The game has the weirdest bug: it doesn’t open if my phone isn’t set to English. Apparently it’s an issue in both Android and iOS. I get that it’s not playable in Portuguese, but they could at least let me open the damn thing without changing my whole phone settings? This should be a simple fix, come on

Re: Mini Review: Jump Rope Challenge - A Noble Attempt To Get Switch Owners Active

dux

@ArtiomNLS of course Ring Fit is better, it was made as a long-term exercise program. It's also super expensive, comes with an obligatory accessory and it's super hard to find because Nintendo could never predict a global pandemic would skyrocket it's demand. So, all things considered, it's really nice that they're trying to address this by making an 100% free-to-play alternative.

I'm sticking to Ring Fit solely, but my boyfriend has actually incorporated Jump Rope Challange to his weight workout and he's using it everyday (you can set the jumps to a maximum of 1000 per day and it caps at that, it doesn't count further). It's very nice for what it is: a free game, no ads, to help get you moving.

Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Adds Cute Summer And Winter-Solstice Seasonal Items

dux

@Manah to clarify why they exist in the first place I guess. Where I'm at, neither Children's Day or Father's Day are this month, and since I guess Nintendo doesn't even now that Festa Junina is a thing, I wouldn't have anything this month. They aren't going to make specific localized seasonal items per region, so they might as well just release everything to everyone.

Re: Pokémon GO Players Can Now Catch Their First Sword And Shield Pokémon

dux

You guys are mixing things up. We've had "Galarian" Pokémon through Galarian forms, like Weezing, and now Meowth, Stunfisk and Zigzagoon and Linoone (just like we had Alolan forms but no Alolan species, like Mimikyu or Rockruff yet). The difference is that for the first time we're skipping generations and getting entirely new Galarian SPECIES, which are Perrserker and Obstagoon. That had never happened before, usually later regions evolutions would be introduced with their regions (like half of Sinnoh Pokémon being previous generations evolutions)

Re: New Seasonal Items Have Appeared In Animal Crossing: New Horizons

And this is how I found out that Children's Day isn't October 12th and Father's Day isn't the second Sunday of August "internationally". I kiiiind of wish the game would place those according to country if you happen to live in one that doesn't stick to the International version, but who am I kidding, they didn't even bother to translate the game to Portuguese, they'd never do some heavy coding like that

Re: Random: At Reggie's First E3, Someone Thought He Was A Security Guard

dux

@Liam_Doolan He certainly is, just as my friend was as well. That's my point. The guy could only see him as a servent, not as Nintendo of America's president. Which is, sadly, something so ingrained in society that he might not even have done it out of bad faith. And I'm being optimistic here! Anyway, this is a feel god site about a feel good company, sorry to drag the mood down

Re: This Summer's New Pokémon Movie Has Been Delayed

dux

@Bon_Kurei I'm very curious in how they pretend to do the event to start with. We know it's ticket sales in Japan, but is it still GameStop in the west? Getting Mythicals is such a pain in the ass for me, official events are super rare in Brazil, if they're not doing some official distribution online (like the 2016 Mythical year) I can pretty much guarantee I won't have the Pokémon, which sucks

Re: We Won't Get A Nintendo Direct This June For E3, Says Report

dux

@HobbitGamer @TAndvig their issue isnt't WHERE to broadcast the Direct, they have Official Switch, Youtube and even Twitch channels. The issue is in the video itself (it's usually long, usually filmed with a host and that demands a crew, and resources and a lot of people grouping up together), and, of course, the contents. Possibly everything they were going to showcase has been delayed, or at least their physical productions have been delayed, so they might not even have a reason to host anything if they're not gonna release anything. I do expect a packed 2021 for Nintendo as this point, though.

Re: Nintendo To Shutdown "Limited" Wii U And 3DS eShops In Select Countries

Glad in Brazil we still seem to have some leeway. And thank god I didn't pay for Pokémon Bank, the one month trial was enough to transfer what I had (which wasn't everything, sadly) over to Home. But now I guess if I ever try to capture the Pokémon I was missing in the originals, I'll never be able to send them over, so that's a bummer. Might be the time to sell my old 3DS.... But it's the beautiful golden Triforce one, I really like it's design
