Disco Elysium: The Final Cut has been eagerly awaited on Switch since it was initially confirmed, and an age rating listing in late August indicated that it wasn't far away. Pleasingly, the most recent Nintendo Direct confirmed that the game is out soon on 12th October, with a physical retail version due in early 2022.
It's a game that has been acclaimed by critics and players alike, and we still rather like the all-encompassing description of it as a "political-supernatural-murder-mystery-thriller-detective novel-RPG". It's unique, certainly, and will be a high profile arrival in the coming weeks.

It felt like it went far too quiet with this game over the summer, which I had hoped was to do with Nintendo wanting to announce the release date and not that it was getting pushed back. Looks like it was that
Glad this is coming sooner than I thought! Though I'll hold out for the physical release. I barely knew what this was when it started winning all these awards back when it first launched, but it seems those were well earned.
Will definitely be waiting to hear how this performs before downloading, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Yep, a definite game for me - probably gonna sink some 100 hours into this one. This, KOTOR, Triangle Strategy, Shafowrun and Bayonetta are my definite picks from this presentation.
