I used to be pretty competitive in multiplayer games and beating all singleplayer games on the highest difficulty.
But since my 30s I lost all my will to compete and give up on most games when they get to complicated or tedious. I really don't enjoy gaming as much as I used to anymore.
@Mountain_Man Nah there is a saying in crypto: buy the rumour, sell the news. Basicly when a big event is coming up, in this case Elon promoting DogeCoin on SNL, people are massively buying in the days/weeks beforehand, so when the actual event happens the price of the coin is already too far inflated, big holders with massive profits start dumping them. Basicly preying on inexperienced traders that expect the price to skyrocket.
A lot of traders I know were actually shorting DogeCoin on saturday.
@Snatcher thats bs, it's very much the fault of the poor moderation at the microsoft store. These developers are preying on clueless parents buying this for their kids or mentally challenged people that can't do their own research. It's pretty disgusting, that company needs to get banned from ever releasing anything again.
I wonder if they are gonna add a cool new gimmick to the psychic mantis fight or it becomes a generic bossfight since we can't switch controller ports anymore.
I would like the Sonic Mania treatment for the next mainline Pokémon game. The franchise got really stale. Pokémon Legends Arceus might be the breath of fresh air that the franchise needs but I'm very sceptical.
I love the mobilty of Glaive but I really dislike the insect part. I've played all the way through MH:W with just the IG but now I'm considering switching to something that doesn't have to farm essensces every minute.
Symphonia was one of my first jRPG experiences and the first time I fell in love with the genre. Other Tales of games I've played were good as well, but none of them were on the same level.
Good, I'm sick of this endless stream of remakes. If I want to play The Last Story I'll pick up a copy for the Wii. Just give me new games and innovation.
I had to force myself to complete Trails of Cold Steel last month. The last hour of the game was amazing, but the 60+ hours of mediocrity that you have to go through to reach the ending was definitely not worth it. Next time I won't feel bad about quitting midway through.
I'm really conflicted on the first ToCS, the first 60-70 hours of the game were pretty mediocre. Just an incredibly slow Jrpg where all quest are either fetch quest, kill xx of a certain monster, kill a big baddy or talk to some random people. Everytime the story was picking up some pace they go back to the boring school sextion of the game. Only the last hour of the game was really phenomenal, but to sit through 60+ hours of bland content is really not worth it imo
What's the point in slightly upgrading? So we can finally get ports of last gen PS or Xbox games? The only way big multiplatform releases come to switch seems to be cloud versions anyway.
I doubt a switch pro will fix any issues that the switch currently has (joy-con drift, unplayable online funtionality and terrible e-shop) since Nintendo is too arrogant to admit it was poorly designed in the first place.
So I much rather just get a switch 2 then some lousy upgrade.
Can't believe people actually liked VLR, it was by far the worst one of the Zero Escape games for me. As for Gnosia, it actually looks like a really fun game, probably gonna pick it up at some point.
@WallyWest The skills you develop competing in e-sports at the top level probably will make you succeed in any environment. It requires very strong discipline and self reflection. Knowing how to practice in the most efficient matter. Perform under heavy pressure and having to constantly study the metagame to stay on top or ahead of it.
It's easy for most of the pro's to just switch games and compete on the top level in a few years (or just play poker and rake in millions).
Also more and more companies are seeing the value in hiring gamers, for example pro starcraft player SeleCT was offered an internship purely based on his e-sport performances.
Really the biggest worry is wether he can actually succeed in fortnite in the first place.
I'm definitely gonna wait for the pc release. Joy-cons just aren't suited to any game where you can move in more than 8 directions. So if I'm not gonna play it portable I might as well wait for a (most likely) superior version.
I've been binge watching Steins;Gate on Netflix after playing the VN 6 months ago. It reminded me how good VN actually can be.
So this weekend I'll be starting on Danganronpa 2, hopefully it will be as good as the first one.
Other than that I have some fun with Rage 2 since I picked it up for free at Epic Gamestore last week.
I'm stuck at Ori and the Will of the Wisps at some bosses on hard mode, they are really frustrating and tedious. So I'm contemplating wether to push through or just restart the game on normal and waste another 10 hours.
I hated the game from the start. None of the characters are really likeable, they all seem overly positive all the time. Random encounters feel like they take forever and whaterver teamcomp I use, it always feels like it works well. Story was really shallow and uninteresting. Although I have to say the music and visuals were great.
Halfway through I picked up Xenoblade 2 and never even thought about booting Octopath back up.

Re: The First Review For Mario Golf: Super Rush Is Now In
Isn't 33 out of 40 really low for a first party Nintendo game by famitsu standards?

None of these games seem appealing in any way
Re: There Might Be A Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Sequel In The Works
I played the first one on pc and I really loved it, I would love a sequal but for obvious reasons I'm not gonna get it for the switch.

My family is going to be really proud!
Re: 'Mad Max' Meets 'Micro Machines' In Racing / Shmup Hybrid Gearshifters
Everything about ts looks really cool, but why does it have to be a rogue-lite? I really hate having to lose all progress after every run.
Re: Poll: The Famicom Detective Club Games Are Out Today On Switch, Are You Getting Them?
I don't really wanna pay more then €15 per game. So eother it gets a huge discount in the future or more likely I'll never play them.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 15th)
I'll be mostly playing Calculator this weekend. I've heard great thing about this game an I'm hoping NL will do a review on it soon.

I missed it unfortunately on the NGC but I might give it a chance if it gets a good discount in the future.

Glad they found a more efficient way. I'm pretty sure most hypertappers will develop carpal tunnel at some point in their carreer.

The worst Nintendo controller ever designed is a battle between the N64 controller and joy-cons.

Re: Dev Explains Why Nintendo Made Mario's Anniversary Games Limited-Time
Good move for Nintendo but terrible for consumers. I really hope they continue this trend of anti-consumerism.
It wouldn't surprise me if they return 3DMAS to the e-shop next March for another "limited buying opportunity due to high demand".

Re: R-Type Final 2 Won't Follow The "Bullet Hell" Trend Seen In Recent Shmups

@Veledwin You're kidding right?
Just because you don't agree with the top choice means it's "literally proof" that the poll was rigged?
Re: Sinnoh Confirmed: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl Officially Announced For Switch
Does anybody know what they mean with easy-to-understand, player-friendly conveniences from recent games?
I hope it doesn't mean they removed all challenges to appeal to more casual players. Like they did in let's Go and SwSh.
