I managed to pick up a few deals in the last year to fill out gaps in my library (Ocarina of Time, Star Fox, Majora's Mask) so it wasn't all bad.

@Bizaster I think Photo Dojo got more playtime on my DSi than both Shantae and Cave Story combined.

What I'm objecting to is that the games were pulled without warning. They announced when the Wii Shop Channel was going down to give customers a chance to buy/preserve software. Also, were the developers and publishers notified of the sudden removal of their games? I'm curious what was in the contract they signed with Nintendo.

I hope this is a fluke, but it's inched me over to Team Physical.

Fall Guys would be a fantastic addition to the Switch!

Sometimes I'll boot up the Wii U for some online gaming, mainly Splatoon and Mario Kart 8. It's still free to play online and there's no controller drift.

I got an old Wii LAN Adapter (also works with the Switch) from Goodwill before the pandemic started and it's made ALL the difference: I've had fewer dropped games in Smash due to connectivity issues; YouTube video quality stays consistent; among other benefits. It was worth the investment for me.

And this is why I've been opting for the PS4 version of a multiplatform game...

Joking aside, I'm excited to see who the new fighter is.

One big reason I loved the original Okami was for the scenery and how lush the nature within was, so Japan easily wins this week for me.

This looks like it can be a lot of fun! I love that these updates are free.

@Nintendook That's kind of the thing: Our PS4 was initially our "Bethesda Box" (we got Fallout 4 and ESO when we bought the system) and figured the PS5 would be as much. I saw Microsoft said that Bethesda games could still be released on Playstation, but we'll see. We don't have a PC for gaming (yet), so that's a nonstarter for us.

My partner and I were planning on getting a PS5 to play Elder Scrolls VI. We may now get an Xbox instead, depending on how things go.

I finished it today and I really enjoyed it. My only complaint was the control physics, but I also admit that my Joycons have a bad case of drift. All in all though, it was fun!

I saw a silver one at a garage sale for $30 years ago. Still kicking myself for not picking it up...

I don't know if I'll get it. On one hand, I missed out on Super Mario All-Stars for the Wii, so that's got me thinking about it. Also, I never finished Sunshine...and it's cheaper to get this than a GameCube with the old disc.

On the other, All-Stars eventually got rereleased in the Wii's Nintendo Selects line (making "Limited Releases" tenuous), so All-Stars 35 could get rereleased at some point.

I don't like Fortnite, but the colors picked for this console look nice.

Fantastic price for Ni No Kuni! I played it on PS3 and I highly recommend it at $15.

Otherwise, Katamari is tempting...

The jump rope motions cause me pain in my left knee, so I don't play it much (if I do, however, I bounce up and down so the controllers register the motion).

Maybe THIS is why BotW amiibo are getting a reprint...

I loved this game back in the day. I did have the originals, but this was also the only way to play The Lost Levels in North America at the time. I do agree that the physics in the original Mario feel off (as they did in 1993), but it's still an enjoyable cartridge. I think if I wanted to play any of the originals now, I'd go with the NES, but I might boot this up for some Lost Levels for nostalgia.

I guess Shakedown Hawaii will be the last Wii game unless they made an announcement.

Fixing the Joy Con drift would be a huge improvement.

"Coloring Book" is the Christmas gift that keeps on giving, with the ten free games at Christmas and then whatever free games came from those since.

Looking at the other numbers, it kind of makes me wish Dragon Quest IX had a bigger impact in North America. I loved that game!
