My third time to buy this game.

1. I got the PC version for backing the Kickstarter.
2. I bought the PC version for my little brother.
3. I'm buying the Switch version.

Fave game of last year (including Zelda and Mario) and a far better example of the genre than Samus Returns. Literally cant believe a game of this quality is only £10.99. An absolute steal. When the map opens up you realise just how much care and attention to detail has been put into creating it. I hated it at first, played the first 15 hrs on Mac and the controls werent accurate enough to keep up with the precision needed for battles and pin point platforming. Was about to quit (and smash my controller in a rage) for good but as a last resort I turned off VSync in the settings which completely rectified the issue. Poured 75+ hours into it and enjoyed it so much! Having a handheld version would be a dream! Envious of those that haven't played it yet.

@Fake-E-Lee & everyone else: You can pick Hollow Knight up from the Mexican eShop for about $7.28 USD. All you gotta do is temporarily change your region in your account settings on Nintendo.com. You can buy the game and immediately change back to your region. I just tried it and it worked perfectly. Thanks to /u/Kyuubee on Reddit for that tip.

Downloading right now! £10.99 is a very nice surprise too - exactly the current Steam price. Per hour of stellar gameplay this is a total bargain.

This was actually originally announced for release in April of last year. Been waiting soooo long - but have confidence it'll be the best version now.

After sooooo long — YES!!!!! I have already made my purchase and I’m downloading “Hollow Knight” now over my (agonizingly slow) work wi-if so that it’a ready as soon as I get off for the day.

I may have mentioned this to you before, but I don’t use social media of any kind, and yet I have spent the last year looking at Team Cherry’s Twitter (plus about six months since last fall bouncing between there and Airship Syndicate’s Twitter Page while waiting on “Battle Chasers”).

@DragonbornRito Nice tip! If this trick allows more people who couldn’t buy the game at full price in their own region to grab a copy, then that’s awesome, and no judgment from me whatsoever; however, in my case I know that “Hollow Knight’s” gameplay-content-to-sticker-price ratio is already incredibly generous, so I didn’t hesitate for one second to drop $14.99 USD so that Team Cherry’s effort is rewarded as best I can manage.

@rharalson it's absolutely worth every penny, but I don't feel that bad because I already bought the game at full price on Steam. Just throwing it out there for people who may not be able to afford the extra $7 for whatever reason.

I half expected a drop today but I was still surprised it came.. hehe

I dunno, it looks like a normal metroidvania, which I've played plenty of...

Enjoying it so far. It's all mood at the start, but solid controls and combat and I'm in for the long haul, now.

I will buy it, but I will finish SteamWorld Dig 2 and then probably INSIDE first.
However the game had performance issues on other platforms and they delayed for a lot of technical reasons. One of my friends said they couldn't beat a boss due to framedrops. So I need a detailed port report first.

I'm liking what I've seen so far. Definitely doesn't hold my hand & I like that. I kinda wish though that I didn't have to sit on a bench in order for my map to update with locales I've since visited but whatever. Worth the purchase for sure!
