Guys, I'm so happy about these comments, thank you! It brings back my hope in humanity. Let's all celebrate the saint and the most beautiful thing that creativity is 🌞
@JohnGuyJohn yes, I have. I always finish games, even when they are a chore, but I just couldn't push myself to play Luigi's Mansion 3 till the end. It made me sleepy.
I really wanted to like this game, but I guess Sonic is not for me in general. I played it for several hours and stopped, because it was just so BORING for me. I can't find the appeal some folks are talking about.
The only thing I wish they change in the next game is to make it a little bit more fair. I mean, randomness of the race is fine. But if you are the best by far and lose to a blue shell it feels wrong.
@RubyCarbuncle yeah, the unfairness is the biggest downside of Mario Kart 8. But it's still much better in that regard comparing to previous Mario Kart games. I played MK7 not long ago and the balance is pretty awful. And don't even get me started on MK64 or older ones. MK8 showed how unfair and boring the older ones were.
I've purchased it on day one, but in my opinion this game didn't age too well. It's too short and kinda shallow comparing to some modern puzzle platforming games. There's something cheesy about Braid. It was quite revolutionary in its days, but it didn't last long. Also, I really love developer commentary in games, but in Braid: Anniversary Edition it's too much and detailed, which makes it boring. I gave up on listening all of it.
@Joeynator3000 the development of AI and how it's planned to be used freaks me out. I hope it doesn't get to where it's aiming, because otherwise future generations won't even know what human creation used to be. It would all be copy-paste a that point. I really hate it how humanity prioritizes profits for literally everything.
@EVIL-C I don't like it when people glorify "developing a strong will". It does ruin fun! It's like having these pay-to-win games. The fact that you CAN do it makes playing less fun, period. Don't pretend it's a matter of a strong will or whatever. It takes away a reward of the challenge if you know that people can finish this game in easier way.
@AG_Awesome save anywhere, fine. But rewinding is ruining the experience in a way. It makes games too easy. You can say "oh, but you can ignore it and never use it". The sole fact that the option exists makes it tempting to use it and difficult to resist under pressure though. I'd say NO for rewinding.
3D platformers is among my favorite genres, but Yooka-Laylee just didn't click for me. I played it for several hours and left it. Not sure why, perhaps it just lacks the magic of Mario, Banjo or Spyro for me.
No, I wouldn't. I've always thought that the quality of joy-cons is unacceptable and I haven't even experienced the drift. It's just so poorly mounted on the Switch, the wobbling seems random from unit to unit. I was unlucky and my wobbling was rather on the extreme edge. Also the plastic quality is abysmal, part of my left analog fell off and I'm very delicate with my stuff.
I love Super Mario Land. Yes, it's simple comparing to newer GameBoy games, but it has something special to it, not sure what that is. Some kind of magic I guess. There are perfect games that lack magic and there are imperfect, but magical games. You already know which one Super Mario Land is in my humble opinion.
@Pointy59 that's a very healthy mindset of yours. It's been a natural mindset to desire and create durable things, but capitalism brainwashed us into thinking that we need new things all the time. How Apple convinced people to spend over thousand dollars on the new, almost identical iPhone every 2-3 years, sometimes every year (!!!) is actually scary. But hey, that's how you make your trillions, baby. And they still get away with calling themselves environment-friendly 🤦🏻♂️
I'm honestly surprised that people are surprised about Lara Croft being the first. It's either the age difference or being in the Nintendo bubble. Lara Croft and Mario are the most iconic gaming stars ever in my opinion. But Hitman at #3 is seriously strange.
@rvcolem1 I think it's not only about consistency, but about motion blur or something. There are some games that look fine in 30 FPS and then some that are barely playable in 30 FPS (at least in my case).
@Steel76 I must be the only one who loves the "tank controls" (rotating in place). Both Tomb Raider and Croc: Legend of the Gobbos were criticized for these controls, while I find them very precise. Maybe it's because Croc was my very first 3D game in my life.
Switch is such a perfect concept that I'd love Nintendo to just improve it instead of going somewhere else. I never liked double screen to be honest, it was a distraction.
I love it how Kirby and the Forgotten Land goes from a very easy game to an almost extreme challenge if you're trying to 100% it. I did and it was fun.
I'm a digital boy. Never had a physical game for the Switch. I know it's financially bad to do it like me, but I somehow enjoy collecting games and always having access to them. I have a 1 TB card in my console.
Finally! Golden Sun is one of my most beloved games ever. I was a kid when I was so hyped about it, reading news about it, then playing on the emulator and finally buying it for my GBA. It's one of these games that don't disappoint when you compare them to your expectations, at least for me. I only played the sequel briefly and it seems to lack the magic of the original, but I'll give it a chance on Switch.

Re: Review: World Of Goo 2 (Switch) - A Superb Sequel With A Few Sticking Points
It's one of these games that are objectively quite good, but I just don't like them. Not even sure why. Not my art style, not my atmosphere.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's NES Library With Seven More Games
Urban Champion is one of the games I played a lot as a kid. Never knew it's such a hated game 🥲 But yeah, I totally get it why.
Re: Don't Worry, Nintendo Likely Won't Utilise Generative AI In Its Game Development
I lost almost all faith in humanity in these last 4 years or so, but now with all that AI stuff... I lost all.
Re: Review: Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Switch) - The Best Version, But Lacks Extras To Make It Essential
Is it any less boring than part 3?

Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Spins Past 20 Million Sales Worldwide
@Greatluigi that's okay. I haven't played Crash in ages.
Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Spins Past 20 Million Sales Worldwide
I've always felt like I waste my time breaking boxes and collecting apples in these games.
Re: Rumour: New Leaked Codenames Suggest Turok, Tomb Raider, DOOM & More Are Inbound
Tomb Raider 4-6 remastered would be cute.

Re: Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft Netflix Animated Series Locks In October Release
I'm not excited for any Netflix productions anymore. They are all focused on money, AI-driven, soulless products. No, thanks.
Re: Nintendo's Profit During The Switch Generation Is Absolutely Wild
Great. Now please, Nintendo, fix the build quality of the Switch in the next generation.

When will Nintendo stop ignoring Poland? 😭

Re: New Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Update Finally Makes Keys Easier To Spot
I'm glad they replaced that ugly exclamation mark with a nice hand icon.
Re: The Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Box Art Has Been Revealed
Luigi's Mansion 3 was probably my biggest disappointment of all my Switch games, so I'm gonna pass on that one.
Re: Mortal Kombat 1's Third DLC Fighter Joins The Roster Soon
So they released a criminally overpriced game and now milk it even further with even more criminally overpriced DLCs? Yeah, no thanks.
Re: Review: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (Switch) - The Best Way To Rediscover A Gaming Idol
@Gs69 swan diving on concrete was my favorite thing to do in Tomb Raider when I was a kid to be honest.

Wario Land 4 - yes yes yes <3
Re: Kirby Developer HAL Laboratory Recruiting For New Projects

Re: Nintendo Reveals New Pastel Pink Switch Joy-Con Set
Lovely shade of pink.
Re: Mini Review: Lil' Guardsman (Switch) - A Disarming Fusion Of Classic LucasArts And 'Papers, Please'
It looks a lot like Lost in Play. Both the art style and the main (?) character.
Re: Review: Golden Sun - A Radiant RPG, Once It Gets Going
@banado27 I also absolutely love Vale theme and the world map theme!
Re: Review: Golden Sun - A Radiant RPG, Once It Gets Going
Unmemorable soundtrack? Dude, I sing and whistle some of these tracks to this day, after 20+ years!

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's GBA Library With Two RPG Classics Next Week

Re: Poll: How Much Internal Storage Would Be Reasonable For 'Switch 2'?
@sanderev SSD's are cheap, but not for Apple. 1 TB of additional storage costs as much as almost 2 Switch consoles in Apple's universe XD
Re: The Easiest Nintendo Switch Games
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Kirby: Forgotten Land and Super Mario Wonder are actually very hard if you want to 100% them.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (Christmas 2023 Edition)
I got Super Mario Wonder for Christmas and I finally join the party!
