Re: Talking Point: Is Tears Of The Kingdom The Scariest Zelda Game Ever?

Zeldinion

My surprising encounter came from while i was venturing through the depths with no brightbloom seeds, and suddenly I saw a singular eye and the healthbar of an "Obsidian Frox" appear in front of me which was more than enough to make me reconsider my current path. As for gleeoks, I spent well over an hour battling the one on the bridge until I finally defeated it, my proudest moment in Totk so far

Re: Nintendo And Critical Role Combine Zelda: TOTK With Tabletop RPG In New 'One-Shot' Special

@sixrings And yet you continue to comment on many of these about it. Many years ago I went to buy a book in a store and saw there was a 'buy one get one free' offer going. I only needed one, but took advantage of the sale and got another. The second book was god awful and I realised despite the sale, it would have been cheaper just buying the one book. The same applies here, It actually is less of your time wasted scrolling past an article on the homepage/timeline than it would commenting every time about the abundance of articles. Its once every 6 or so years a new zelda comes out, let people enjoy it to the fullest.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Squeeze Another Zelda Game Out Of TOTK's Open World?

Zeldinion

@Spider-Kev SLIGHT SPOILERS: I actually realised when talking to Yona for the first time that the game mentioned her being from another Domain of Zoras, despite the fact that only one exists in Botw/Totk. My theory is that the DLC could be focused on this, giving us underwater exploration, another zora city and some new zonai parts to make submarines with Ultrahand. Would be pretty cool imo.

Edit: Finally got the spoiler block to work, thanks everyone

Re: Nintendo Teases How The ‘Gacha’ Mechanic Works In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

@YoshiF2 From that list, many were already in botw and others will near definitely be in totk.
For example, I would be very surprised if the game does not have dungeons.
We've already had quests such as Tarrey Town in Botw, and the sequel looks to have many more meaningful quests as you can see link transporting npcs across the world in the final trailer. Breath of the wild had some great bosses in my opinion, but tears of the kingdom looks like it will have many more similar to those found in previous entries, for example the shot in the final trailer with link facing off against a huge centipede-like creature in the centre of a hurricane. As for iconic npcs with backstories, i would argue the Champions in breath of the wild are incredibly iconic and have some brilliant backstory too. The sequel looks to be giving even more development to the champions descendants as well, so I wouldnt worry about that. I also think its safe to say that while this will likely still be as free as Botw, there will probably be far more story and designed progression/set pieces in this game than the one before as the story is evolving as we play it, rather than 100 years before. Overall it just shows that it doesnt matter what this game does, unless it is the exact same as older games which your nostalgia loves, you will not accept this as a 'true' zelda game. The rest of us at least, have plenty to be excited for.

Re: Professor Layton And The New World Of Steam: Everything We Know So Far

Zeldinion

This is my second most anticipated game ever, behind tears of the kingdom. I still can't quite believe that we're getting sequels to Zelda, Professor Layton and Hollow Knight in the span of potentially 1 year. On top of a heap of great indies including Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Another Crabs Treasure... Its going to be a fun year for my wallet and me.

The artwork of luke and layton is certainly interesting, on top of both characters having a minor redesign (layton now has a buttoned up shirt, and luke a red bow tie and blazer), we can see a building with a sign reading "Steam Bison". What with the mechanical elephants already seen so far, I think its cool to see the theming of steam powered robot beasts and transport. In a way, I hope this does take place in America as it seems like an interesting premise for a Layton game, but I beg that layton and luke keep their original voices (Lukes european voice please!) and that the cutscenes are done by the original company too. Very excited for the Level-5 presentation now though, especially since layton news has been officially confirmed on twitter.

Re: Nintendo To Broadcast Indie World Showcase Later This Week

@jowe_gw There were at least 6-7 farming sims in that direct, which is fair to say more than most genres normally get.

As for me, I'd love to see some more news on bomb rush cyberfunk, some good 3d platformers, or maybe even a prof layton collection? (alas, i fear the last one may just be a dream)
