Re: Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival Won't Have Online Play

Sadly I knew they wouldn't add it. Nintendo have a trend of leaving online play out of all of their "party" titles.

Mario Party, Wii Sports, and Nintendo Land haven't had it so I saw it coming.

Still it is disappointing they haven't tried to at least broaden the audience a little to the people who can't quite gather their friends in 1 spot to play locally.

I grabbed the folder and bookmark set. I only had 1600 stars left and wanted another small physical memento!

I had some nice stuff over the years though:

  • Wario Keychain
  • MK7 Banana Cup Trophy
  • Mario and Luigi Hat game pouches
  • 2 different Pikmin 3 keychains (too cute to only get one of these)
  • Yoshi Plush (with the apple)

Maybe a few other things I cannot remember now. I guess the promotions such as New Ambassador 3DS, Paper Mario Sticker Star Sticker Book, Skull Kid Statue and the Smash Soundtracks count though!

It was quite a nice run and I am quite excited to see if the new Club Nintendo can bring such a large variety of rewards and gifts.

It's unfortunate that the online play looks so bad. I was expecting bad single player due to the type of game so that isn't so bad but.. limited lobbies with no way to continue playing with the same group you found that was really fun to be with? That and not even some kind of text chat to co-ordinate in more complex puzzles. Communication is necessary in puzzle solving games even if it isn't voice chat.

Why does everything have to be so limited when it comes to Nintendo and online? At least the local play looks solid.

If I had a bunch of people locally to play this with I would probably get it as the core idea sounds really fun. Hopefully it won't turn off others who want to play it in a group!

Re: Nintendo Hammers Out A New Update For Super Mario Maker

Agreeing with a lot here that the automatic levels need some kind of filter. I had 4 of them in 1 100 mario challenge once. The amount of them seems to be increasing as people see them on the top 50 list :C

But on topic of the actual update, is it possible this is setting the stage for DLC? None of the game breaking glitches actually got fixed. (The invincibility glitch and the going through walls thing)

Was worried about this when you guys first previewed it. Seems they didn't take the time between then and now to actually add some kind of challenge to the game =(

I LOVE the idea of the game but having no real motivation to make a good home for the animals would just leave me bored very quickly. I was really hoping there would be a rating system with some leniency so you still have some freedom but need to keep to a theme.

Won't be getting this now D:

Re: Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is Adventuring to 3DS

YES! Hoping it will be a good entry. Now that they have made a 3D engine and all for the Gates to Infinity they should have little problem working on a deeper story.

I still think the reason the previous game was a bit lacking was the transition to 3D, but they have the groundwork already done this time around.
