The positive response to Super Mario Maker is impossible to have missed, and unsurprisingly Nintendo has been pushing it more than most of its titles. What is a bit of a surprise however is that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U & 3DS will be receiving a stage themed after this excellent piece of software.

The reveal trailer below states that the level design will change every time you play it, but it's not entirely obvious whether these layouts are randomly generated or simply selected at random from a list of pre-designed structures.

Interestingly the stage also contains an element that its source material is sadly lacking, and that's sloped platforms. Whether or not this is Nintendo's subtle way of telling us that slopes are coming or not is anyone's guess, but we'll continue to remain hopeful.

It makes perfect sense for Nintendo to capitalise on the success of such a well-received title, particularly one that fits so easily into the gameplay of the series. The stage will become available on 30th September in the West but no price for any North American or European regions has been announced yet. Do you feel like picking this intriguing new stage design up at the end of the month? As always drop us a line in the comments section below.
