For those of you that aren't well versed in technical jargon, a voxel is essentially just a 3D version of a pixel. While this isn't something that would really have much relevance in most everyday conversation, it is of utmost importance in Nostatic Software's upcoming game, VoxelMaker. You'll be able to see this for yourself when the game goes live in North America on 1st October.

VoxelMaker appears to be some sort of 3D art studio that's centered around creating models and environments with 3D blocks, which can then be rendered with realistic lighting and shadows. It appears to have a fairly deep set of tools and features; we'll be sure to have a review for you with our impressions on whether or not it's worth taking the plunge. Doubtless, those of you who have invested hours into Minecraft's creative mode will find plenty to love here, as the possibilities are potentially endless.
