It's Cats Against Dogs in the Next European Splatfest

Yup, they ran out of ideas...

Good luck to Team Cats! It was really close in North America, where Dogs won popularity, and Cats won the most matches. Dogs ended up winning. I was on team Cats, and I felt that it was kinda unfair that Dogs won based on popularity (this was before they changed the Splatfest calculation results). I feel like after the change in calculations, Cats should've won. Oh well, now that the results are more fair, Team Cats have another chance at winning! Go Team Cats!!!

I have to say I don't mind having the Cat vs Dog theme in Europe too as it is a good theme I think .

I am on team dog personally . (I like cats too, but prefer canines a bit more).

The Splatfest stuff is ending soon isn't it.

That's a shame. Europe has to wait an extra week than the US just to get a theme that the US has already had. Plus, I'm almost disappointed that they didn't go with a lame theme this time.

Considering most people are off on Saturdays they should make these from 9am or something.

@ULTRA-64 Well, yes, I admit it! I'd definitely go for Team Cat. Dogs are great too, though. It's just that whatever team you choose, the gameplay won't be affected - it's exactly the same for both sides, so it doesn't really matter. Nor should it, it's for fun! Although, go Team Cat!

@Zach777 well they'd need to license those ones. The Transformers one was a paid promotion, they can't use others IP without permission.

Plus Mario vs Sonic and Splatoon vs CoD....yeah I don't think those are gonna happen. Mario vs Luigi or Ganon vs Bowser perhaps

Personally disappointed that the U.S. Cars V Planes isn't Cars v Subs. As a poor urbanite I've never flown in 25+ years and Cars V Subs is a bigger debate!* You fly when you need to, no one has money to fly all the time....

3 months ago, I would be hyped. Now? I can't really get excited.

Kind of a bad idea to do it after the fact, as everyone will know that dogs beat cats by a landslide in popularity in NA, so probably even more people will choose dogs just knowing they won previously and it will just end up even more lopsided.

It took me exactly one week, 24/7, to come up with these awesome and ingenious themes. Maybe NOE should hire me?

@Coldpancakes took me a while before I realised 'subs' meant the subway (just called trains or the underground here generally) and not submarines! I was thinking "This person's never been on a plane, fair enough that's not so unusual, but submarines are normal to them?" Haha!

Seriously it took them one more week than everyone else to come up with an idea and they simply took the first theme from America! Sigh .... first they're hating on Kirby and now this ... I'm kinda losing faith in NOE.

Well if they are going to start pinching ideas for themes from America maybe the next one will be the transformer one, or they could do a theme on games the wii u won't get like fifa vs pes or call of duty vs battlefield. Although a good theme would be nice it won't stop me from picking a side & playing splatfest

@Megumi I hope not. I expected it for at least another 6 months, and Splatfests for longer than the free DLC/updates.
