@Hero-of-WiiU I disagree that a cheaper revision is not possible. The chip set can be shrunk, making them more energy efficient, leaving to savings on battery and cooling costs. A smaller screen in line with switch 1.

The Switch 2 high price is a barrier to entry for some. This will help but Nintendo need a cheaper revision or lite to make progress with the main stream. Plus some killer games.

In the Uk

Using game vouchers + shopto gift card 5% discount the game cost is £40. This is £50 on the eshop. Probably worth it if you want Zelda BOTW or TOTK as the other game.

Curry’s physical edition £39 or £45 for switch 2.

I wish they fixed the GameCube controller. Not having the - button stops it being on of the best controllers on switch 2.

I played the first game quite a lot, glad it’s back and enjoyed the demo. But the price point games have reached, I can no afford a back log of games I might find time for.

@gcunit I image the development team is working on a lite. Switch 2 is simply too big and expensive to give to kids. At the moment switch 1 has the market covered but for how long.

The physical appears to be the full cartridge releasing in December. Let’s hope it’s the patched up edition.

@Solid_Python Nintendo have been quiet, too quiet. I think we will hear more once DK is out the door and some switch 2 stock are on the shelves. Japan have still having lotteries to even pre order. Nintendo is hyping responsibility at the moment.

The switch 2 is being used as a switch pro. This chart shows that.

Is it too late to get into Splatoon 3? I’ve got 2 switch vouchers running out in July. Or would I be better to get Animal crossing, xenoblade X, pokemon legends or Scarlet and famicom detective?

Nearly all of my Nintendo games have an update. Shame you have to check except for last 12 games you have played.

I’m not confident in any switch 1 game that does not have a patch. Also this seems like a lot of work for Nintendo.

@mariomaster96 we said this about Nintendo doing mobile games. If Switch 2 sales dip after the first year, then shareholder pressure will be on as Sony are doing it.

Could Nintendo put a few switch 1 games on PC Maybe next year, no one is going to be buying a switch 2 for Xenoblade x. Fire emblem and xenoblade would be good candidates.

These Lego kits have too much unnecessary parts pushing the price high. Captain Toad is the only reasonable price.

Hot takes based on these; DK returns was overpriced and it shows. Mario RPG - no particular style has won out and the developers should just make whatever interests them. Bayonetta is the most unlikely franchise on the list to return.

BOTW got me through a tough time too. I’m a little worried playing the game will bring back too many feelings. Guess we will find out soon with the Switch 2 edition.

Where are the switch 2 announcements?This developer did some solid games on the Wii u and switch, sometimes directly working with Nintendo. Surely Nintendo would give them some dev kits.

Surprised about the micro sd express low levels of orders. If you want your switch 1 digital library, some third party titles (digital or key cards). It’s not long before your 256gb is full.

@Medic_alert not all switch games are going to be backwards compatible. The testing was only 30 minutes, so could break later on. The upgrades range from free, $10, $ 20 and sorry you need to repurchase the whole game (thanks sega). Only a handful of games have been announced and most of those we are not sure of the upgrade details.

The switch 2 upgrade situation is very confusing. All future switch game purchases are on hold until further clarification.

All this noise about the high price but in reality the switch 2 is sold out in the uk. The price will be an issue for casuals but maybe Nintendo has a lite and/ or console version in a couple of years.

Switch online with cloud data makes it easy to run two switch. The second hand value is so low. I saw £75 for a lite. The OG switch has security flaws in the hardware which could be an advantage if you wish to sail the high seas in the future.

I think there should be a temple of doom under the mansion and Luigi is more like Indy but scared of everything.
