Can you believe it? The month of October has arrived. As we move closer to the holiday season, it's probably going to become harder and harder to decide what games are worth your time during this busy period.
To make things just a little easier, the lovely Alex has compiled a list of 11 amazing games due out this month. We've got challenging platformers like Mega Man 11 to look forward to, multiplayer madness in Super Mario Party and the tactical RPG Disgaea 1 Complete to anticipate.
If that's not enough, there's a chance to check out The World Ends With You if you missed it the first time or go on a space adventure with Fox McCloud and his co-pilots in Ubisoft's Starlink: Battle for Atlas on the 16th. If you're perhaps looking for a more punishing experience Dark Souls: Remastered is on the way, and for the competitive player, the cult classic Windjammers is making a comeback.
What game are you looking forward to in the month of October? Take a look at the video above and tell us below.

For those who missed it on other platforms, Child of Light is an absolute gem and a must-play for fans of turn-based RPG's and beautiful aesthetics.
Hoping that Mariothon mode in Super Mario Party will be fun.
Go focus yourself Alex.
Hmm, saving my money for Let's Go.. might look up those Nindies though if the price is right.
Nintendo LABO Toy Con 01 Variety Kits.
I have ordered from my game shop.
Just wait for the thing arrived.
Nothing for me until Smash.
Batman: The Enemy Within was planned to release tomorrow. With Telltale closing its doors soon though, I am unsure if it will release. Considering the port is already done and is just awaiting release, they might just throw it out there for those who were waiting on it (like me).
I think just dark souls for me. This will be my first souls game ever. I'm honestly not sure what to expect but there's so much hype surrounding it I'm giving it a shot.
DorkSoles and Starling Battle for Atlanta are on the top of my list
Most games coming out this and next month I’m going to wait until Christmas to get. It’s gonna be awesome.
The rest of the year is much like the previous 9 months for me,other than indie and retro games there's just not much I'm interested in.Dark Souls Remastered is the only big game I can honestly say I'm looking forward to. Smash I'll buy just for 1v1 online battles, no interest in the rest of the game. FIFA 19 I've decided to skip. Diablo 3 is a maybe, just not sure it's for me, a demo would definitely help.
As for indie and retro games though, there's no let up. There's plenty for me to look forward to.
SNK Collection
R-Type Dimensions
Psyvariar Delta
Windjammers
Transistor
Observer (hopefully 2018)
I have Starlink preordered. Apart from that my October will be dedicated to RDR2.
To many big game hits coming from the other platforms. Switch will remain and still will be just my spur of the moment quick indie gaming machine.
Mega Man 11.
I am getting Super Mario party! Starlink! The World Ends with You! SNK 40th!
Super Mario Party and Starlink
Mario party bundle in December
Starlink if the review is good
a ps4 pro and Red dead redemption 2 because that game is to sexy and won't come to pc.
One expensive Q4
I’m gonna be into Astro Bot Rescue on PSVR then Red Dead 2 on PS4. So nothing Nintendo this month
Really strong month. I'll be getting
Dark Souls
Child of Light
TWEWY
MM 11
Starlink
Disgea
Maybe starlink (if it reviews well and if it proves that you can beat the game in a normal faction without buying extras. This is either because you can unlock other vehicles by progression or because you are not at s disadvantage for not buying other extras). My copy of diablo is arriving in November and meanwhile after finishing Torna (and xenoblade chronicles 3d) I decided to start a new game plus is XC2 (and that will carry me for most of the month anyways)
Where's the My Hero Academia game? There's a brand new game coming this month, but this loses mention to re-hashes and ports?
It is indeed a very good month! Megaman 11, Super Mario Party, The World Ends With You, Starlink, and Dark Souls are all very good games, and really good additions to the Switch library.
I really want all of them, to be honest lol. If only I had enough money and time.
@riChchestM I know, right? It's the only game I'm looking forward to this month. Maybe October has only 25 days in UK.
No Mark of the Ninja? Apart from that, only currently care about Pokémon.
How about Warriors Orochi 4, the biggest Warriors game to date with 170 playable characters and pretty much none of them clones? I'd argue that deserves a mention.
What? No mention of My Hero One's Justice or Warrior's Orachi 4?
Guess there's so many games releasing they can't even keep track. That's a good thing, I suppose.
@aznable XD The new VR games For Christmas
Only Dark Souls for me this month but i still need to grab Octopath Traveller and a couple of Indie games so i have enoug for the month, Diablo and CIV 6 for next month and Smash to finish it off.
Definitely getting Super Mario Party. Too bad so many people either don’t know it exists or just don’t care
October is definitely my splurge month. Aside from Hyper Light Drifter, I haven't bought a videogame since Mario Odyssey! But this month sees me getting Super Mario Party and Jackbox 5 on Switch, and Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4. My wallet's going to be screaming.
Maybe Starlink for me and then Diablo 3 in November! 😃
@Morshufan1
Last time I played Mario Party was on the Wii, in Korean (which I cannot read). It was still fun, strangely enough. I'd get this one, if I had more frequent house guests. My wife doesn't play enough (other than diablo) to justify it. Shame.
TWEWY is technically a mobile port.
Great game though, but it deserved a sequel.
All these mediocre games will get a 90/100 on NintendoLife though.
"This is definitely worth playing even though I've never played it."
yah......Ooookey Doookey !
