The second batch of game discounts for October has been released on the European My Nintendo rewards website, giving players the chance to spend their points on yet another line up of 3DS and Wii U games.
This time around sees a spooky Zelda classic just in time for Halloween, a Super Mario favourite on SNES, and Game Freak's lovely rhythm action title, HarmoKnight, among others. As always, you can take advantage of these discounts by simply using the required Gold or Platinum My Nintendo Points listed below on the official site. Here are all of the offers this week:
- [3DS] 30% off Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth: 60 Gold Points
- [3DS] 30% off Tomodachi Life: 120 Gold Points
- [3DS] 20% off HarmoKnight: 100 Platinum Points
- [Wii U / New 3DS] 40% off Super Punch-Out!! (Virtual Console SNES): 30 Gold Points
- [Wii U] 40% off Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars (Virtual Console SNES): 30 Gold Points
- [Wii U] 30% off The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Virtual Console N64): 100 Platinum Points
There aren't any new 3DS themes or wallpapers this time around, although the recently shared Super Mario Party wallpaper is still redeemable should you be interested.
Will you be taking advantage of any of these offers? Remember, your Gold Points can also be spent on Switch software directly from the eShop or a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, too!

Aww, only Europe
No Majora's Mask 3DS version? no buy!
Ffs Nintendo why can't I play these games on Switch already!
@NewAdvent
Halloweentime would be the perfect, eh, time to announce them. They'd be among the most halloween-y of the bunch, now that Simon and Richter have been already revealed.
Oh look, more discounts on games everybody already has. What would we do without you, MyNintendo!
I know that most people are complaining about these deals only applying to Wii U and 3DS, but if you're actually going to take advantage of these then I'd highly recommend Mario RPG. It's a fantastic light RPG with the perfect balance of depth and simplicity, plus some fantastic writing.
The last game I picked up from their reward program was Xenoblade 3DS last Halloween (or was it two halloween’s Ago?). I’m waiting to see if they’ll ever put Zero Escape Zero Time Dilemma on sale for 3DS because I’ve played just about everything else I’d want to on the 3DS
Trying to remember if PersonaQ was ever on sale for less than that. I tried searching on here and Google. I know it was on sale, but can't remember if it was before it's permanent price drop. I'm thinking 10p of gold points to get that for about £12 ain't too bad at all.
@riChchestM Q was €9.99 last year if I remember correctly, even for this price a nice dungeon crawler Persona style 60+ hour game.
Sadly the physical EU copy is expensive (but there are worse expensive EU 3ds examples)
@Majora101 if not mistaken they said they won't do this for the Switch because of using gold points for lower price.
@Majora101 But the Switch is a handheld.
These discounts only further reinforces and reminds us of how lame the Switch is in terms of Virtual Console.
Still offers or discounts for switch!
I’ve never played majora’s mask. Is it better than Ocarina?
People still buy VC games on Wii U?
@Yosher Sad but true. Most have all the games from this they want already.....
These are rewards
@Whalehome isn't zero time dilemma on sale on eshop at the moment
@neyoung8 for Europe? It’s not for North America
For Europe, not North America...
I think Nintendo should have kept the Club Nintendo program, and just implemented into it, the features that MyNintendo offers. Or, MyNintendo should have just been a re-branding of Club Nintendo. The good ideas from both systems should have been merged.
@Whalehome I think for Europe, I am sure it was in the EU download. Not sure about USA though
@mikegamer Why not? Are there Virtual Console titles on the Nintendo Switch?
@HopeNForever No, and it's why I've given up on that
I wish Super Mario RPG was on the 3DS Virtual Console. Haven't played it yet and I've sold off my Wii U a while ago.
@mikegamer Still more classic Nintendo offerings than the Switch.
Well, I have 30 gold points expiring at the end of the month and I haven't played Legend of the Seven Stars. Would mean plugging in the Wii U again and I still probably won't play it. Hmm.
Snore...
If only these games were on this gens Nintendo console!
@Angelic_Lapras_King Eh, too bad the emulation quality isn't that great.
While I own, Majora´s Mask on the GamePad is a must. Punch Out too. And already have Mario RPG on my GamePad and rather excellant it is too. And to those questioning whether it's still worth downloading Wii U games. Yes it most definately is what with the GamePad being beyond excellant.
@SimplyCinnamon53 I think you'll get mixed responses from everyone but In my opinion ocarina blows mm outta the water. Another user stated it relies heavily on side quests and longer dungeons(only 4 ). So it's really all preference on what you like in a zelda game. If you like side quests and longer dungeons try majoras mask. I for one love tons of dungeons and very little side quests so oot is more my flavor
...Still on the Wii U....STILL no Switch rewards.
Still Wii u rewards.
Would consider Mario RPG if it was on 3DS, but Wii U? No thanks
@Joeynator3000 The "rewards" for switch that Nintendo has set up is the use of gold points for money in eShop (which I still think is PRETTY BIRDS AND MELON PIE)
this is NOT a story people want to read about, (yet another example of pathetic scrounging for anything to legitimize their involvement with NL as article writers)
yay...coupon day on 6 dlc/Virtual Console games on 3DS/N3DS & Wii U.
there, one sentence, now how about a REAL story, contact Reggie or some other Nintendo reps that may be able(or willing) to say if Nintendo Direct will begin adding access to games from other systems like SNES, N64, NGC, GBA, GB/GBC, ect.
even if you tried to push for an answer and was refused, it is still an informative article as would the refusal and/or "no comment"
don't ACT like story writers, actually DO THE WORK AND GET OUT THERE AND BE REPORTERS ¡¡¡
Have always wanted HarmoKnight but never ever seen it in a sale and it's quite pricey. Will be getting it with 20% off though.
