Well e3 is a bit of a wildcard for Nintendo.... sometimes AWFUL, sometimes AMAZING. I'm hoping for the latter......and pikmin 4. Please pikmin 4

Nice to see improvement at any time. Means longer until I can play as I'm sat watching my wii u download/install updates so I can be ready to start the game this weekend when the missus is away😁

I haven't handled/tasted a switch cart yet but I'm happy for anything that doesn't come in a card box! Those N64 boxes😥

I played this on Wii u VC last year and was blown away, great game! I was hooked for 3 weeks and couldn't put it down😁

Nothing for me. Wii u isn't getting anything exciting as i was hoping. Some VC sales or a final e shop sale would be great. Either way I've got loads to play so no problem for me.
Just started odd world new 'n' tasty on Wii u having never played it...... REALLY impressed, I'm enjoying it loads!!

Whatever....After being burned over the nes mini fiasco they can take a running jump. I'll use emulator options or buy a SNES. Simple.

Wether people like it or not this type of game will decide Nintendo's place on the market. To rival the mainstream consoles they need mainstream AAA game franchise's like this. Cod/FIFA/assassins creed gear are why people buy hardware in the current market place! so if the switch doesn't bother with them then it'll just be a 1st party console and therefore an expensive second console for some but the primary console for few.
I personally would love to see cod on switch, I've always found online to be more competitive than say ps where all the 'elite' players are so good you can't win😉

@Sinton @electrolite77 I've got to hand it to you guys, the numbers and articles don't back me up at all. It really is a case of memory glossing over the truth for me i guess. I had a blast with my launch day Wii u so maybe the facts are blurry 🤔
I guess i shouldn't be as worried about the games out or round the corner as much....
The next phase i guess is the games to be revealed and the e3 build up. Will 3rd parties get involved and build some more momentum etc.

What an embarrassment for the switch again!!
Think back to this the in the Wii u launch and there were LOADS of games coming out, VC, backwards compatibility, demos galore, sales and launch offers.
How anyone can say the switch is better at this point compared to Wii u is beyond me. Of course commercial success is based on many factors but wow, what an awful launch period in terms of games!!

I've got a really bad case of déjà vu here as i read this as a Wii u article years ago! Ah well, good game, enjoy it if you haven't played it before 😀

@Anti-Matter i know you prefer a family game mate but I'm commenting MY point of view here. I've played tons of family friendly games but i want to have choice, to be able to pick a game from any genre i might feel like playing. I just bought a n3dsxl and i think its great, the game choice is huge and I'll be playing it for the next few years. What i want from a home console is choice and relevance to progress made on existing gaming ideas. The level of violence etc is irrelevant, it's about choice. Having just got a portable with a huge library of games, i have no reason to buy a switch at all yet.

Since the biggest selling point of Wii u was it's second screen and the biggest selling point of the switch is it's portability. It means that any successful port would need to benefit from portability without losing anything​ when losing the second screen gameplay additions. As such there are only a handful of games in that list that wouldn't be second rate and imo, pointless porting over as they would be a backstep.

I like many others I'm this thread would much rather have all the 3rd party games that skipped the Wii u instead of gimped ports of games we COULD ALREADY HAVE PLAYED.
My fear is that the switch will NEVER get 3rd party games as it's too underpowered and can't handle games that came out over the last 3 or 4 years on other systems.
Put it this way, I'll buy a ps4 next before a switch as i played pretty much everything that came out on Wii u i wanted and then some😓🤔

Not a bad week for the Wii u really. I'll grab odd world and maybe severed to pad out my Wii u backlog buffer as i wait for reasons to buy a switch 😉

I am certain i remember Nintendolife declaring they had scratches on their screen on the review switch!?!? Completely ignoring this issue are we now??? Why are you not reporting this anymore???? Are you spinning your stories for clicks or just being bad at reporting the facts??

I just can't get excited about the switch yet, i just bought my first 3ds so i think I'll be fine with that and my Wii u backlog for another year yet😁

The lack of games on switch is my biggest fear regardless of hardware. This isn't a good sign!?!

So who has actually announced that they ARE releasing a game on switch SINCE the supposedly terrific launch attracted all these new developments???? Seriously though....Has 1 new game been announced since that is physical and not e shop only???

@OorWullie if we were to go by the 'if only this had released at that point' argument then we'd all have played the new Zelda a year ago on Wii u and the switch would be doomed without a launch Zelda. 😜

Overall that sales drop off is HUGE!! That Shouldn't be happening that fast unless....You know...It's all launch hype that can't sustain a sales platform without game's and releases. I hope the switch does well overall​ but I'm not blind to the fact that the Wii u had a better launch at this point in the country the switch was pretty much designed for. AND they have the largest consumer/brand selling potential. This is the end of the hype train....It's a long wait for game's now, longer than Wii u. Let's see what happens next. Grabs popcorn and Wii u gamepad, puts feet up

@SLIGEACH_EIRE there's an irony in all of this since the Wii u flopped hard but from what I've seen had very few reliability issues, it was solid. I got mine at launch and I'm playing it now with not one issue since. My friend has dropped his gamepad down the stairs 3 times and it's bare floorboards and nothing but scratches on the outer plastic. Do you think they have tried to increase their production margins too much and lost some manufacturing standards as a result?

More problems with excessive profits vs poor manufacturing resulting unhappy people. Pretty sure the dock shouldn't warp in transit. Even when packaged badly it should hold its shape, will everyones when they move house etc??? Is this another case of shoddy manufacturing overall to not provide a solid sturdy premium product when charging a premium price??

I'm sure I'll be more positively involved as the build up to E3 gets going. I'm sat playing my Wii u right now. Love it. I just need more reasons to jump on the switch bandwagon right now. A new pikmin game would pull me right on board 😁

In terms of the individual mentioned, if a negative fan-boy (whether baiting or not) is the worst problem we have. Then we're not doing too bad.....

@bimmy-lee I LOVE a debate, I've had some great discussions on this site in the many years I've been contributing. At the moment if anyone says a negative opinion about the switch, it's likely they will be labelled as negative person. That they are against the switch in some way. You can look through any of the threads to see this ATM. I see a certain Irish contributor getting hate on almost every post. Would someone with relentlessly positive views be picked on as much?? The views you have shouldn't affect the way people treat you. Debates are about finding the pillars of the beliefs that make up an opinion, to understand better why someone feels differently. This community has always been very respectful in the past but right now there is a side taking stance which defies this. Im hoping it's just launch hype getting people a bit carried away and it settles down. It's sad that the community was more united in failure on the Wii u than is at the potential of the switch.....

And in answer to do people care about internet browsing etc, you just undermined your own point by listing that every other device already does it on an article discussing the problems the switch has faced at launch. An article that wouldn't exist at all if it wasn't a talking point for some. I'm not saying you want it, I respect that it's not something your personally demanding. But if it effects the use of even 1 in 10 users then it's very relevant to discuss. I sell smart devices for a living, it's very very easy to find an alternative option, I would agree that much. However it doesn't mean that other people wouldn't use/expect those features as part of the package. In this day and age having an internet connection but no option to browse the web stands out as bizarre to say the least🤔

Reporting only what you want people to hear by filtering out information= propaganda.
A sports fan site will still admit when a team play badly, a stocks and shares site will report upwards and negative trends and a music site will report empty seats as well as sold out shows. Why would a Nintendo fan site NOT report what is happening to Nintendo fans/hardware?? I don't get why you would expect only good news when the facts reveal a mixed amount of good and bad news?

Nailed it with this statement mate, there are some serious rose tinted glasses going on on this site lately. I'm a big fan of calling a spade a spade. Of course everyones interpretation is different but that's why we hear each other out and learn about others views.
