I fully understand why they have chosen to 'move on' from the failed Wii u . However I for one LOVE what the Wii u second screen has done for my gaming choices!!
Games like deus ex and zombie u have been simply better than other versions because of the second screen for starters. Then there are the games like xenoblade and arkam city which you can simply do more to navigate the maps in less time and with far less effort(imagine xenoblade with even MORE menus!!). Then there is the non split screen local play on 1st person shooters etc which I love, or the pikmin 3 companion map option, or the Mario party mini games, or the game &wario style games like the drawing one. All in all, I used the old features extensively so I hope I get as much out of the new device........

Those look great! I never thought about colours but I'd love to pick out differently coloured parts and themes. Especially if they look like these!!

Not sure this would be for me. Maybe I'll be tempted with a review.....

You can buy watches with more storage than a Wii u!!! The storage really was a joke this generation, one of the things Nintendo was furthest from the mark on.
I have no problem with the 'want bigger,buy an external' stance but the standard memories should be sufficient for basic use out of the box. Please improve memory this generation 😉

Amiibo and smartphone games have been Nintendo's biggest commercial breakthrough successes of late. This would make allot of sense really.

Zombies doesn't work in an ice setting.
They would freeze, not being 'warm blooded' and all. So while I love zombie games, this one was broken before it began 🤔

I just can't get into runbow on my Wii u!! I love the concept but maybe I'm playing the wrong mode or people but it wasn't fun at all. I'll give it another go soon I think.

Whilst there has been some sprinkles of goodness, my Nintendo overall has been poor. I've never found a single thing to spend my platinum points on. The gold coin options are a joke, too few and need changing way more!

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I couldn't say you were wrong for saying the game is awful. Every opinion is valid, it's just that I'd call the game is more- good with glaring flaws that ruin the experience.
I don't personally think they were lazy with the development but that their concept was flawed. Like they tried really hard to make all the wrong ideas work and messed up the basics.
It's a story I'd be really curious to hear, how the game came to be. Like if platinum knew the controls were rubbish but went ahead or argued their point? If online was avoided through design or time etc. It's one of those classic 'what could have been' curiosity tales.....

Bought it digital in the end after getting all excited about a physical version🤔. I surprised myself tbh as it shows how much I've come around to digital purchases over the course of this gen! In the first couple of years of Wii u life id have bought physical 100%!

I think I'm now sold on perfume. Looked them up, feel like a fan club member already and I havn't had time to actually listen to the music yet either. I'll pick up heist digital, like I have already for dig and fast racing neo. Besides, that selects branding really is awful. Completely ruins the beautiful box art and looks cheap. These aren't bargain buy discount games, they are the best of the best on the e shop. They deserve more respect 😉

@RainbowGazelle amiibo never were worth £10.99 in my opinion. I'm not against them outright, but over priced and under supported has been the theme since launch. They are, overall, a very cynical cash cow for Nintendo without them actually investing time or money in making them do much to reward collector's or gamers.

I'm kinda relaxed about the while thing. I love my Wii u, am still buried in xenoblade x and I've got a huge backlog of other games.
I'd love Nintendo to come out of leftfield with another great concept but I'm not convinced by anything ive heard so far. Portability,controllers and projector leaks do nothing for me.I'll sit patiently on the sidelines band wait for them to tempt me. It probably won't take much😜
I'll stick my neck out and say October the first,Saturday I think, first some kind of reveal. Let's hope it's not a reveal of a date for a reveal 😱

Well that's pushed me in the digital direction I think. I was 50/50 on if I should get the steamworld disk but at £10 it half the price for me so thats made my mind up I think.......unless anyone thinks the dlc is worth having in the starter pack!?!

I'd love a new wave race and a home console Luigi's mansion would be great. Otherwise. I like surprises 😉

I thought dk:tf was a brilliant game, very hard but very rewarding. I true platforming masterpiece with originality and great music to boot. I bought the disk of returns as soon as I hit 100% on tropical freeze, I hadn't been able to make myself start it yet though as it was just such a challenge getting to that point in tf. Maybe when I eventually finish xenoblade x I might fire it up!?!

What an absolute insult to loyalty this my Nintendo fiasco has become. As others have said above, I'm hopeful that new hardware will bring the site/scheme to life and give it relevance. However right now it's an absolute laughing stock, a joke. I don't have a 3ds and so pretty much everything is a no go for me and many like me. They have so many things they could add but are choosing not to......😖

This whole Nintendo/ mobile thing makes me so sad. I sell phones for a living and play Nintendo to relax after work, to get away from phones. Even if the games ever do graduate above the level of disposable and I want to play them I probably won't.....it'll feel like homework!! 😭😭

@AlexSora89 no mention of xenoblade x here except mine. I'm 100hrs in and it's taken over my life 😉 I've simply no time to consider worrying about the lack of Wii u games in updates Lately!

Zombie defence was a game I really enjoyed when I picked it up a while back, very addictive and a decent amount of depth overall!

Probably end up being my first paper Mario game. Something about this one has really grown on me over time. Looks very different to anything I've played before....

Nothing at all for me again. I like the look of FREEZEME but I'm buried in backlog right now so I can wait.
My Wii u is getting more play time than ever right now thanks to xenoblade x which I sat on since Xmas waiting for time to dig into it......brilliant game, I'm addicted!! I'm about 100hrs in and haven't even thought about getting a skell yet, there's just so much to explore! It's so good I've barely touched starfox zero which I'd earmarked as a pick up and play casual game, wrong!!( way to much concentration needed). No game drought in my house 😁

As I'm all about Wii u and don't have a 3ds this isn't any threat to my massive pointless collection of coins.....😭

Well this floats my boat! I'm 50/50 on the art style but curious to see more.
I simply LOVED point and click games as a kid. I've loads of fond memories of playing games like India Jones, Sam and Max,monkey island, full throttle etc.....
I was always hoping we'd get some telltale games on Wii u but this will do for me. The hardware is almost designed for this style of game after all!!

I feel like I'm collecting stamps on a loyalty card and everytime I fill one they give me a bigger card and no reward. It's the complete opposite of what they are trying to achieve with loyalty schemes imo. I have never felt the need to purchase more to gain rewards like I did with club Nintendo!!
