Re: Splatoon Global Testfire Demo Confirmed For This Weekend

TreesenHauser

I can understand their reasoning for doing this, but at the same time it'd be nice to play an offline demo so I can at least have some time to adjust to the game's controls and see if it's something I'd enjoy playing. Whether my money goes to a pre-order or not will be determined by how the demo is.

Re: Natsume Suggests That Nintendo's Moving Away From SNES on Wii U Virtual Console

TreesenHauser

@JaxonH "And I do recall people complaining every single time a virtual console game released for a system that was on the WiiShop. Now that they've moved on to GBA, DS, and Wii (and broke ground on N64 which was another huge complaint, even though it's not new), I noticed people start complaining that Nintendo is not releasing SNES games. But when they were releasing SNES games, it was all "move on to something new already". So I really feel like people are going to complain regardless of what happens."

Nailed it.

Re: Talking Point: It's Time for a Nintendo Direct to Set the Agenda

TreesenHauser

Since pretty much every member on Nintendo Life has given their wish-lists I may as well throw my hat into the ring too.

-Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 2
-Mewtwo DLC release date
-Splatoon release date
-More info about Devil's Third
-Release date/window for Xenoblade Chronicles X
-Yoshi's Woolly World release date
-Trailer/Gameplay footage of Star Fox
-Of course, as much info about the new Zelda as I can get

I'm in no shape to get my hopes up about N64 games on Wii U Virtual Console anymore. Not to be a cynic, but Nintendo would have released some already if it was ever seriously part of their plans. And yeah, I know on that site of theirs it said they were "coming soon," but it was way too long ago. Nintendo seriously dropped the ball with their handling of the VC on Wii U.

Oh, and until Nintendo figures out their amiibo stock issues here in NA, I'm done with those things. I've basically come to terms with the fact I'll probably never get my hands on a Ness amiibo... though I'll sure as heck try.

I'm leaning towards OlliOlli, but for those that have played it... how is it? I'm always on the fence about skateboarding titles. I saw a preview for it this morning and it looks cool, but I'm curious about what players think of it.

And if not OlliOlli, probably Tengami since I hear lots of good about it.

Re: Review: Pokémon Shuffle (3DS eShop)

Great review!

As someone who hates the F2P model, I actually really enjoy playing this. I have no beef with taking breaks after playing in short bursts. In fact, my only complaint would involve the lack of 3D--but for a game like this you don't really need it. Shuffle is a lot of fun.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Club Nintendo Double CD Rewards Start to Arrive

TreesenHauser

On Wednesday I noticed my Club Nintendo account said the CD shipped. I'm wondering when it shipped though? I never received a shipping confirmation. Either way, in addition to a Mega Man amiibo and a Wii remote I'm already expecting I guess I can look forward to this showing up soon too!

So if you didn't receive an email, it's worth checking your Club Nintendo account to see if it shipped.

Got Pokemon Shuffle. I actually dig the gameplay.

I was really hoping we would get Kirby's Return to Dream Land like Europe this week. I dig the style of Rainbow Curse, but I'm one of the few that didn't really enjoy Canvas Curse so I was hoping to play Return to Dream Land. Oh well, we'll probably get it eventually.

Other than that I'll probably give the Citizens of Earth demo a try.

The launch discounts for Wii games were limited promotions, of course it's not gonna be 10 right off the bat.

With that said, even though NA is getting Rainbow Curse this week I still hope NA gets Return to Dream Land as well. I'm one of the Kirby fans that didn't like Canvas Curse, so I don't see how I'll enjoy Rainbow Curse either.
