@Dakt Exactly this. Virtually every bit of disappointment with this direct has to do with people feeding the rumor mill and setting themselves up for disappointment in the process. I was actually sorta pleased with the Direct because I had no expectations.

They're definitely not wrong. I own both and it'll likely stay that way for a long time.

I think I'm one of the only gamers in the world that doesn't really do voice chat in game anyway, so I'm not gonna make a fuss of this.

I don't mind the co-op bit as much because I ride solo with my games lately. With that said, Amazon had this at a $20 discount so I caved in and ordered it. It's on the way now and I can only hope by this time that it's been patched more?

Even if not, that's okay because I still enjoyed the Wii U iteration when I was borrowing it.

I was hoping, and doubting, that there would be any kind of demo. This was unexpected, and though I work during weekends I'll definitely be on this when I'm able to get on!

I've played both and though I've spent more time on Zelda I completely agree with Sakurai. Zelda is great, but so is Horizon. Both games bring the goods.

I finally got a Switch yesterday! But since I'm sending it in for repairs due to nonstop error codes, I'll hold off on MK8 and Puyo Puyo Tetris for now. I may go for Use Your Words though after seeing the Cinemassacre guys play it 😂

Not sure where the series will go from here, but Nintendo set the bar high for themselves with Breath of the Wild. I would welcome a traditional game again but at the same time, I hope they stick to open world. I'm 106 hours in with all main quests and shrines cleared, yet I still wanna keep playing. It's just that good.

I'd love to get the BotW amiibo of Princess Zelda if it wasn't over double the price.

Though I do want Hyrule Historia.

Nothing for me this time. Whenever my power gets restored Ive got plenty of Zelda to finish up on, though I may eventually have to cave in for Bomberman 64.

Without playing Master Reboot, I wasn't too impressed with the Soul Axiom demo that I played. It had an awful frame rate. With that said it showed a lot of potential and I can only hope the quality has improved since. If so, I'll take advantage of the extra discount.

Wondering if Mighty No. 9 is worth the $16? I know it got mediocre reviews but I've always enjoyed the Mega Man games and I've wanted to give it a shot.

The moment I read he had passed away, I was devastated. The effects of his passing are still very much felt today. And the nod to him in Star Fox Zero's credits still give me tears. One of a kind. Iwata, you're still very well missed.

Some of my brightest childhood memories involved my Genesis and the original Sonic games. Sonic 3 and Knuckles is one of my favorite games of all-time!

The 3D Sonic games were never given the best of reception but I enjoy Sonic Adventure still. And I admit... I kinda liked the Wii iteration of Sonic Unleashed. shrugs

I'm just looking forward to a future where a new Sonic game hits all the right notes again, like Generations mostly succeeded in doing.

Was at Wal-Mart yesterday, and I was either buying this for $15, or Mighty No. 9 for $30. Super late to the party but I've made the right choice!

I might get Monster Hunter on Wii U finally. Always kinda sucked at the demo but I could force myself to get better

Rayman Legends is great, but disappointing that it's on sale for about $8 more than when it was on sale around Thanksgiving. Still, a great game by all means.
