Edit: just checked out the list. No kuma but I’ll definitely vote for Vivi and Karoo.

And here I was hoping they were gonna do the opposite and make the cases more like the 3DS ones.

@Teksette I’m hoping it is region locked, and I’m sure it will be since our switch uno cartridges will be compatible with it. I’m really excited to see if any games get performance boost as well. It’ll be nice to replay a lot of my switch library with boosted performance.
I’ve always gotten physical games until I got a PS5 but with how convenient Nintendo’s cartridges are I’ll always go physical on the Nintendo games. Besides, they retain their value fairly well!

@Teksette Backwards compatibility is what I really wanted the most out of the new console. And a more interactive menu like the Wii lol

I play mainly drums in festival, so I think the basic controller works fine for me. I also play a lot of Taiko no Tatsujin so it feels similar playing on joycons or a dualsense. I feel like this is for those fomo collectors. I can see a hand cramping up pretty easily holding this thing for a couple of songs.

Crazy to think I was in my mid 20s when this released and now I’m in my 30s. I love this series and every several years I experience the hype all over again. From late night matches with my friends on the 64 to joining my first official tournament a few years ago, it’s all been a blast! Great memories with a great game.

@Khronos120 same here. I want to say it was the day after the reveal trailer with the inklings when I bought my switch. Smash ultimate is my most played Nintendo game of all time. I can’t wait for the next one!

Looks like outside the Pokémon centers you’ll have to earn it as a participation prize In a local league. I kinda like this idea. Give it to the ones who play the game and appreciate the cards and not just a place where scalpers can run wild. That being said, I don’t play the game physically anymore, but I want this card 😂

I like to imagine Nintendo is holding out on releasing the first game until the new console releases. Because of its structure Nintendo was able to make it an absolute showcase of the GameCube hardware early on and I could see them wanting to do the same for the next console. Or they are just weird and want to sell the remaining 3ds copies 😂

@Kiwi_Unlimited xenomorph, predator, terminator, robo cop, and carnage been in the game for a few years now. The shop looks like it tries to grab older players from what I see.

@Teksetter I went ahead and did the same thing. Went with the deluxe edition just because these games and the NWC are very nostalgic to me. I still have fun playing most of these games on the app and my NES mini. I was younger when the classics rereleased on GBA and I loved them.
I would have liked an OG NWC mode or just a NWC tournament for new switch games but this is still nice. I’m just glad it’s being acknowledged by Nintendo 🥳

I recall being a very happy kid with this game. I remember it being one of my favorite DS games outside of nintendogs 😂

@johnedwin I mentioned that they would have momentum going in 2025 if they had a decent lineup of games announced this year. Though the numbers are down, that doesn’t mean the steam ran out. Naturally sales decline year after year. But they are still pulling in decent numbers in its seventh year. Though they aren’t selling better than ever, they just still have a market for this product at the moment.

Switch sales are still going strong and with a lower price point, I can’t see a major gaming company pumping the brakes on that unless the new console will be a possible switch upgrade. So many kids are constantly approaching gaming age and the current switch has been a great way for them to start gaming in a safe environment. I can’t see us current switch owners keeping this momentum going for Nintendo the past few years. That being said, a 2025 release just makes sense. Besides we’re only a direct away from several games possibly releasing this year on switch that would keep momentum going thru 2025. It wouldn’t hurt them to release this year, but I can see the conservative approach in the current gaming industry.

@the_beaver I finally bought the all in one package when it was on sale and my only regret is that I waited this long to play it. I was 10 I believe when it released and only had a GameCube at the time, so it got skipped. It really is a magical experience and is definitely in my top games list. Donald and Goofy are a trip 😂
I heard from my buddy that 3 is a little much but 2 builds off the first one well so I’m excited to start that one. I’m also about to start my first playthrough of final fantasy 7 too. Too many great games I need to play!

Just in time. Almost finished my first playthrough of kingdom hearts. Gonna definitely pick this up if I see it in the store.

@FishyS I recall a lot of “look at what someone made in animal crossing” articles a few years back but it was definitely spread out over a course of a few months. Then again this game is apparently breaking records elsewhere too 😂
And just like anything popular in gaming nowadays, I’m sure it won’t be nearly as popular in a few months. But who knows 🤷‍♂️
Elden Ring is a good example for me of a highly anticipated/acclaimed game that is now barely mentioned beyond its dlc.

Couldn’t get into this one like I did with Drum ‘n’ fun. Even though it’s the same concept with different songs. I gave the pass a shot but I still prefer the previous version. Good example of quality over quantity.

I enjoy the mode. It’s been fun exploring with my friends and sharing keys to see what they all did to the world since I been off. Two friends are declaring “war” on each others villages and mine is settled between theirs so that’ll be interesting 😂

@Teksetter Precisely the point Robin. As long as the Joker isn’t up to his usual antics, we should expect good ports that will bring justice to Gotham. Though, it wouldn’t hurt to check the Bat computer to get more clues on how well they may run…quickly Robin…to the Batcave!
