This game was the most fun I had single-player wise on my PS5. A very good story that could hold its own in the mcu and wasn’t bloated like a lot of single player campaigns can get. If you’re a fan of the movies/comics I couldn’t recommend it more. If you ever played the new GoW games, it’s like having 4 Atreus at your control. I might be redownloading it tonight now 😂

@Anti-Matter David is a really good movie! Definitely recommend it. The Goliath scene is done very well.
I plan in watching the new Mario movie this weekend. It looks like good fun. I hope my theater still has those Yoshi popcorn buckets!

@PeterTomlan86 that happens at the end of every episode of svengoolie where he goes back into his coffin, while getting rubber chickens thrown at him for the last corny joke of the show. He usually has his rubber chicken shield 😆 he doesn’t just show horror movies and the ones he does show are usually universal monster-esque movies, classic kaiju films, and some pretty campy sci-fi movies.

@Cakes That’s awesome you all get together and watch too! It’s a funny show with cool movies (mostly) 😂 maybe one day we’ll be lucky and he shows the 90s Mario movie!

That’s funny. I actually watch svengoolie on MeTV every Saturday night with my grandparents. He shows classic horror and sci-fi B movies. Goofy stuff 😆
The only time I see them advertise cartoons is a 7am segment called Toonie. (The host is a tuna fish)
I have the Mario series on dvd but I’ll watch it while I make my coffee!

It feels just like yesterday, sitting in my room, looking at all my Pokémon cards while watching the show. I would read my Pokémon yellow guide on the school bus and trade with my friends with the link cable. Simple times. Great times. Here’s to another 30 years!

Me on hard mode after playing Elden Ring:

I was very hesitant on getting this. I didn’t care to watch the directs on it and almost dismissed it because I have no nostalgic ties to the original. But while at GameStop a little trailer played on their tv of air riders and it genuinely looked fun. So I got it instead of the Samus amiibos and I am having an amazing time with it. I’m a huge smash Bros fan too, so everything felt connected and smooth when I played it. I’ve tried every mode and love them all.
I’ve honestly been hesitant with all the switch 2 games after I bought Mario kart world, but everything has been so fun and feels like the old GameCube era again.

I fully agree, though it started with the thousand year door rerelease for me. I was 10 when I got my first GameCube and Saturday morning was never the same. That same feeling came to me playing paper Mario and just recently came back when I started wind waker. I realized I haven’t touched these games since the early 2000s so though I remember them, I barely do. Pikmin, animal crossing, sunshine, Luigi’s mansion, double dash all place me back in time when I couldn’t wait for what Nintendo was cooking up next. GameCube is my all time favorite gen.

I would be using this a lot but unfortunately the few friends that upgraded haven’t even set it up yet. They just use discord. It’s a nice move from Nintendo that will only improve over time. I just hope we get more camera based games in the future so my purchase is justified 😅

I know it wouldn’t happen just because Nintendo likes to keep the end game opened up for you to continue doing things, but it would be funny if this is a prequel to the arcade Donkey Kong and that was all just a misunderstanding where jumpman is the bad guy 😂

DK space port is so cool but my favorite so far has to be Great ? Block Ruins. Only because of that one part that feels like your being blasted into skypia 😂
Once I finally experience Rainbow Road I’m sure it’ll be my new favorite.

I can’t wait to start playing this tomorrow! I love racing games so this is a great launch lineup for me.

I’d like to see a funny animation for it. Like when Monty Mole is sweating and has a worried look on his face during the whack-a-mole mini game in Super Mario party.

I would totally use it often if I had more friends playing switch these days. I had a group of friends a few years back and we would all chat on Mario kart and smash through the app but they all stopped playing or moved on to pc. I pre ordered the camera but mainly for game features.

Been playing a good amount of animal crossing lately. Had to start a new island several months back and finally got a second floor. Really hope we get some sort of upgrade or the OG version for GameCube classics.

I just got my LRG cartridge a little over a week ago. I was gonna keep it sealed but I’m curious about the chip. And it’s just moving around in the box 🤷‍♂️

Watch them give us the Gamecube version of twilight Princess before the Wii U port too 🤣

I’m glad I stuck around the GameStop website when it was available and didn’t gamble on them sending me an invite. So far I haven’t gotten an email and I submitted one the day they announced it. GameStop was a headache though. Site crashed for 40 mins and managed to get one through constant refreshing.

Now I finally understand why I can’t find a single lobby to join in ultimate alliance 3 😑

Star Wars is awesome and I still play battlefront 2 every now and again. Last year it was hard for me to stay focused on Jedi survivor. And that should have hooked me. I like to try this out. I just don’t know if it’ll be any better since I’m not a Jedi 🤣
I did like Star Wars hunters so maybe I just like multiplayer Star Wars games more.

@Beeeell love the GameCube controller for smash bros. I got the NES and N64 NSO controllers and they are great! I recommend the N64 controller if you use the app a lot. It feels a lot better playing ocarina of time with one.

@ear_wig Not a dumb question. You just need a GameCube controller adapter. Your switch will recognize it as a usb controller.

I’ll hopefully have a brand new Nintendo console on its release day and I’ll be playing GameCube games all night 🤣
I haven’t played Wind Waker since it came out all those years ago, so I’m going to play that immediately.

As much as I want a new animal crossing, I can see them upgrading new horizons. They sold so many copies of that game. I’m sure they’ll go that route. Same will probably happen with smash bros too. I always expect a new animal crossing a few years after a console releases.

Everything I went on to pre order crashed. I’ll just wait for the my Nintendo invite at this point. And if that doesn’t happen, I’ll just continue to play my og switch. This happened with the ps5 so I won’t let it bother me.
Edit: it’s 11:35 et and GameStop has them available. I just got one!

I was really hoping it would have online multiplayer. I couldn’t find any info about it but this interview pretty much confirmed its split screen and game share only. I’ll still play it and enjoy it. It reminds me of Star Wars episode one racer. Great fast pace, futuristic racer but no online modes.

@Teksette I’m happy to hear we finally have a preorder date. Now I just have to decide if I want to try and pre-order it at GameStop or Best Buy or wait for the My Nintendo invite. I’m going to grab a few physicals and the camera thing with it too. I really want to play Mario kart and fast fusion on release night 😆

I’m really excited for this game. Me and my sister played Mario kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing so much, we would just drive around casually around the tracks just talking and joking around. This is a game we would have spent so much time together on.

@ChromaticDracula that reminds me of when I would rent Mario tennis every other weekend at blockbuster and my mom would always play it with me. Every time I would boot it up it felt new to me. I miss those days but the nso apps bring some of those little joys back.
