Indonesian developer Ozysoft, the team behind psychological horror Pulang Insanity (which is available on Steam) has today announced Project Buramato, a brand new action adventure platformer with PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch versions due to be released in late 2022.
Project Buramato takes its thematic influences and art style from Bornean Folktales and, judging by its announcement trailer — which you can check out above — there's plenty of Genshin Impact and Xenoblade in the mix here too.
According to the developer, this 3D action shooter/platformer is fast-paced stuff, played from a third-person perspective with minimalist storytelling and a focus on atmosphere.
With a prototype alpha demo due for release later this year, Project Buramato certainly looks promising based on its trailer and we're already looking forward to jumping in here to explore the Land of the Old Lords' semi-open world environments.
Does Project Buramato look like your cup of tea? Let us know in the comments.

This looks absolutely gorgeous, could stare at it all day, will defo have to give the demo a go
It does look good so hoping they can hit the gameplay out of the park. Though minimalist storytelling kinda sounds off... something like BotW maybe?
BotW has really inspired so many beautiful games.
What was that arm that throws... something??
Looks good. Dislike the character design and their funny eyes. Less is more. Hate that bright eyed look
Flying whales are always good, and this looks beautiful. I'll be watching for news about this.
Looks great, this is one of those games I'll need to pick up on my playstation. I like these kinds of games looking as crispy as possible with those vast environments.
Looks fantastic honestly. Needs some polish here and there but overall it looks intriguing. I definitely am a fan of the character designs.
@the_beaver looks like mobile phone input
Genshin impact also looked promising until we learned it was f2p. I'm also curious to see how it will run on switch considering the power gap with new gen consoles.
