Yes. A few weeks after launch of Switch 2 we had a brief power cut and the ethernet stopped working. After sending my brand new console back to Nintendo for repair, it was found that the ethernet circuity fried in a surge of power once it came back on.
Makes me nervous of when another inevitably happens.
EDIT: They were plugged into a surge protector, like every other piece of electronics I have are, and it still happened. And the surge protector is still fine, it hasn't stopped protecting.
Probably the most important question is missing: Do you as a consumer want a Key Card game? The answer is no.
Especially as the Micro Express SD cards are tiny in size right now and unbelievably expensive. They'll be filled in no time with a few full size games downloaded onto it.
I'm not surprised by this at all. To be honest, I thought this would happen the moment EA sunk their claws into them - you could see it coming a mile off. They just destroy everything they touch.
@Toastmaster Feel free to believe whatever you want but do some research and know what you're talking about before before you call someone a liar.
"There [were] numerous projects that were put forward that I believe would have been huge hits, but MS rejected them one after the other. I remember seeing a couple of prototypes that Chris Seavor had designed and was working on, that looked amazing, but alas they got shelved. It seemed that MS didn’t want to take the risk in Rare doing anything outside the younger demographic, they quickly forgot the companies heritage. We started to lose a lot of great talent then, people were losing job satisfaction, so they just left." - Don Murphy; artist, designer of Rare
@Toastmaster A-HAHAHAHA! The fact is Rare wanted to make a few sequels to their games after Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct being one of them. But MS kept turning them down, in fact they turned down pretty much everything Rare pitched and instead put them to work on Avatars and Kinect games no-one asked for or really wanted. They've only been let loose since the XB1 era with SoT and that's after most of the talent who made the games which made Rare left.
I think you need to get your facts straight and do some research before you comment total rubbish.
Sadly he's probably right. Or, give the series to Nintendo and let them do it properly. After the way Banjo-Kazooie has been treated ever since Rare got bought by MS, it's only been Nintendo that's done them justice via Smash.
Happy and sad. Happy as these are awesome and much like the button/controller stick ones a while back I want them all. Sad because I know I'll never be able to get them and the eBay scalpers will be out in force milking you up to the eyes for them while also trying to come back for your sockets too.
The trouble is with these CEO's is that they're usually way out of touch with what us gamers want. 'He' wants to embrace the modern and he has stated that 'it isn't him' - what he want doesn't translate to what the community wants and ignoring your heritage and retro titles will only madden gamers who'll only ask for the mini consoles more. He's alienating an entire demograph which won't end well. Again, its not what he wants, its also wants Sega Japan says so he may well eat his words yet.
And using those excuses to push the agenda of yet another subscription service? Yeah, best of luck with that one. There's for too many as it is.
I got some amazing stuff out of the old Club Nintendo; keyrings, mousemats, charm chains, pin badges, dioramas and a few games too across the GBA and GameCube. I miss that catalogue, it was far superior to the near pittance we get now.
The whole point of having your own console platform is to have console specific games, i.e. those exclusive to your own platform which in turn makes consumers buy it. If MS this keeps up, there's going to be no point in owning an Xbox as everything people will want to play will be on other systems. They'll end up putting themselves and the Xbox brand out of business
Nintendo really need to get a grip with their eShop and have some sort of quality control. The amount of rubbish released on there is insane. Its probably too late for Switch but something really needs to be implemented for their next system.
I'll probably pick this up as I'm a WarioWare fan and it looks like what WarioWare should be. I was very disappointed in Get It Together and ended up giving it away as I just didn't find it fun.
I did pick this up on release day since I loved the original but haven't gotten round to starting it yet. After seeing all of this I think I'll hang on a bit
See I actually enjoyed this and to me, after Sticker Star is where is all went downhill. Colour Splash and Origami King are by far the worst of the two. I've started both and finished neither because they're just not fun to play. Yeah the humour is there but the combat is atrocious and kills the games.
Base.com are already fleecing us. The price you've shown that they're charging for Soul Hackers is ÂŁ36.19 but on their website they're wanting ÂŁ43.49.
These people need their Switch dev licences taken away from them. I thought the WiiU eShop was filled fill of tripe but its got nothing on the Switch's eShop.
Where is Nintendo's quality control over their shop?
I have this and its lovely. The images througout are so high quality and it makes me yearn for a GameBoy (the whole GB line actually) Visual Compendium even more.

Re: Poll: Have You Had Issues With The Ethernet Port On Switch 2's Dock?
@stache13 They always were on a surge protector. All my sensitive equipment is and has always been on them.
Re: Poll: Have You Had Issues With The Ethernet Port On Switch 2's Dock?
@Spider-Kev I've had one for ages, Switch 1 was plugged into it and was fine. Switch 2 dock still broke plugged into it.

I already own 23 of those titles for my GameCube. But it'd still be nice playing them again on NSO with its enhanced features.

Its the stereotypes of the characters which helps give the game so much charm. People really need to stop looking for offence in everything.
