Title is a bit misleading, it would be a sequel not a spiritual successor to Minecraft. Since he created Minecraft.

@WaveBoy It's more like that the younger crowd just doesn't known what you are talking about to give you a reply lol. I mean to be honest they don't know what it was like to live when the Console wars were up and kicking. Sure you have Microsoft vs Sony now but nothing like Nintendo vs Sega in the 90s. Or what it's like to chill out every Saturday morning with a big bowl of cereal in front of the tv watching stuff that was just one huge advertisement for the latest toy.

They probably look at the NES like we do Atari or Intellvision lol.

@WaveBoy That the main reason I really don't post or comment on things much anymore here. I just can't really relate to anyone here anymore. To be honest Midway through the PS2 Era is where I fell out of gaming for awhile till the Wii era so alot of the things these young ones talk about I have no idea about.

I get it, the way we look back fondly at NES, SNES, Genesis they look that way at PS2, GameCube and the original Xbox. It's sad to think that there are kids on this site who weren't around when Sega was a console manufacturer. I still can't get over discussion of GameCube and Wii games in the retro section lol. I realize that these young ones now were the same age when they got their Wii as I was when I got my NES and are now visiting this site at the same age I was when I first visited this site.
So yeah talk about mind blown.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) Still continuing with this wonderful game

Baseball Stars 2 (Series X) I don't know why but I have been wanting to play this game lately. Haven't played it since I had my Wii.

World of Warcraft Classic Vanilla (PC) Still enjoying this game. Just got to Orgrimmar for the first time with my Tauren Shaman.

@WaveBoy I never saw the baby blue NES cartridges during the NES life cycle. I think here in the US Nintendo blocked places like Toys R Us from carrying them, I didn't see them till years later.

And yeah I remember those NES rental boxes. Funny enough a local video store called Mega Video where I lived used them. I even have a few of them myself that I bought from them when they went out of business.

Sucks these are Japan exclusive, hopefully they get a NA release.

@WaveBoy Funny thing was at first I thought all NES games were gold and only Super Mario/Duck Hunt was grey because it was a pack in game. It wasn't till I went to my local video store where I saw that all NES games were grey cartridge well at least the licensed ones. My pre-adolescent brain blew when I saw the Tengen cartridges.

I have yet to get it on my Switch which I should so I can do some farming before bed. Right now I just have it on Xbox and I just bought it on PC last month as part of Steams Black Friday sale.

I had go go with NA on just pure nostalgia alone. I remember seeing that box for the first time as my dad handed it to me after buying it for no reason at all (it wasn't a birthday or Christmas). It may have been my second NES game I ever owned, after of course the pack in game of Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt. Still have never beat that game to this day either since my original copy got a corrupted file (for some reason I don't have the crystals to seal the castles).

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) Still working through this game and really enjoying it. Easily my GotY for 2024

Batman Return (Supet NT) I replay this game this time of the year. Still one of my favorite game adaptation of a movie.

The second is actually the only BoF game I have never played. The first one to me is the best one while the PS ones are OK. I am surprised that they haven't brought this series back.

World of Warcraft Classic (PC) Tackling the Barrens this weekend on my Tauren Shaman. There's just something I find relaxing with classic WoW.

My how the mighty have fallen. What ever happened to Nintendo's seal of quality? Shameful Nintendo very very shameful.

That's one reason I don't browse the eShop the amount of shovelware that one has to sift through just to find a quality game. Come on Nintendo your better then this.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (Series X) I will be Continuing Indy's adventures this weekend. I am really enjoying this game alot it really nails the Indy vibe definitely my GotY for 2024.

World of Warcraft (PC) Started a new character on the classic servers and what a breath of fresh air it is from retail. It reminds me alot of why I fell in love with WoW in the first place.

The biggest surprise for me were the Megaman Gameboy games. I am so glad that we got them on a current Gen console especially Mega Man V.

Now if only they would re-release Tetris DS on modern consoles.

Probably is a good game but since it's Ubisoft I will pass.

Ubisoft is a complete mess right now, I will be surprised if this game ever sees the light of day.

XDefiant (Series X) With news of the inevitable shutdown I figured I enjoy the game while I can.

World of Warcraft (PC) After a short break from the game I got the itch to return to it.

Other then that I am not really playing anything much so that way I have time for Indiana Jones in a few days when it comes out.

At this point Ubisoft can close down completely for all I care.

One reason I hate using the eShop is the amount of shovelware I have to sift through. It was never this bad on previous Nontendo consoles but I guess since Sony stopped the Vita all that shovelware had to go somewhere.

@Magician I got this mainly for SoR2 just so I have it on the go, think I played it once and that was enough for me with that emulation job.

If I want SoR2 I just play my original cartridge on my Analogue SG.

They axed XDefiant but don't worry people we are getting another Assassins Creed game. 🙄

Stardew Valley (PC) Picked it up as part of the Steam sale for $10 so I will be starting a farm there.

Black Ops 6 (Series X) Double Xp Weekend so my buds want to do some MP and Zombies.

River City Girls (PS4) I started this awhile ago but never finished it. I am still in a beat em up mood so I will be dusting off the PS4 and playing this one with my son.

@Snatcher I loved Lego Dimensions, easily my favorite Lego game. I have been wanting to play it as of late too but I don't remember what I did with the portal.

Right before they discontinued Lego Dimensions a dollar store in my are was selling the packs for a dollar each. I was able to get so many of them and sadly I wasn't able to use cause as I said I lost the portal piece.

I wish they would rerelease it but just have the sets as in game DLC. Granted I understand that it requires building some of the sets in real time for the story, but they can easily change that ton where you build it in game kinda like MySims or Minecraft.

I could see it more as one of the Lego Dimension packs rather then a stand alone game. Still I think it would have been a good addition to the Lego games either as a stand alone or as part of the Dimension series.

@Anti-Matter What does it matter if a character is wearing a shirt or not? Its not like it changes the gameplay or story.

@Groovz I got a laptop last year for Black Friday bought the game on Steam because I loved Sims 3 but it wont start up at all. After doing some googling I come to find that it needs Direct X9 and newer computers dont have it.

You probably installed it at some point and forgot you did.

Great review. Will be picking up this game as I have been wanting to play My Sims again and I never owned it on the Wii.

@Yosher FYI Sims 3 will not work on newer PCs. If you don't have Direct X 9 on your PC it won't run.

I remember working next door to a Gamestop and purchasing my DS with a copy of Dawn of Sorrow on my lunch break back in 2005. Still had it up untill a few years ago when it got stolen.

Nostalgia wins here for me. I remember seeing that box art for the first time at my local video store. Something about the box art just grabbed me and I had to rent that game to bad it was always rented out when I went to go rent it.

@splatoonaddict They did do it in the past like with the NES and SNES right before the new systems launched but yeah the 3DS was the last one I can remember and the only reason they did that was cause the bad sales in the beginning. The Switch was more successful so I don't see it happening.

I can see it becoming its own thing. Look at World of Warcraft and World of Warcraft Classic.

If they are smart it will but this is Nintendo vary rarely do they do price cuts on their stuff just look at their games for example.

It's been a few years since I played Overwatch. This will definitely make me want to return.
