Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th August)

Tasuki

Here's what I got planned this weekend.

World of Warcraft Classic (PC) Still working my way through Stonetalon but first I got a quick detour to Tarren Mill. Right now I am level 25 on my Orc Warlock.

Hexen (PC) This dropped a few days ago on Gamepass . I always enjoyed this game on N64 so I figure I give it a shot on PC.

Re: Opinion: Nintendo Gains A Rep Boost As Sony & Microsoft Lay Waste To The Industry

Tasuki

I think next gen we will see a huge shift towards PC gaming. With Sony and MS doing what they are doing alot of their fans, myself included will make the leap to PC. While sure some will shift towards Nintendo I dont think alot of PS and Xbox players will shift towards Nintendo. Alot of them arent big into the type of games Nintendo is into. And yes Nintendo is getting 3rd party games on the Switch 2 the power of the Switch 2 will keep some PS and Xbox players away.

Re: Video: Why All The Remakes, Nintendo?

Tasuki

Its all about history and legacy. Nintendo is what made video games main stream. I mean yeah you had Atari and others before Nintendo but they were weren't seen in the same way as Nintendo. As time goes on people want to see and experience what made Nintendo Nintendo. They want to see where the Legend of Zelda began or Star Fox or Metroid but as time goes on its getting harder and harder to find and use the old technology so the way that the new Gen can experience is remakes and such. Not only that but developers who were limited by technology at the time can witness their full vision of a game that they couldnt before.

Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Pokémon GO Launch Day Memories?

Tasuki

I was working at the time and I heard about it from some co-workers who when at break where going around catching Pokémon. They were going on saying oh I caught a Pikachu outside in the parking lot and oh did you catch the Geodude in the toy section stuff like that. When I asked them what they were doing they showed me and I wont lie I was intrigued with it. Especially since at that time I didnt own a car so I walked everywhere so I was always catching things and hitting stops. It didnt take long till everyone I knew was playing the game.

I played for about a year and a half, I mainly stopped playing because I pretty much caught all the Pokémon in my area. My breaking point was when I went to New York in 2018 for a vacation and though cool I can get some new Pokémon only to discover they had the same Pokémon that I did where I live. After that I was done with the game since I felt I did everything I could. Then of course when COVID hit everyone that I knew that played stopped since well we couldnt go anywhere so that was that for me.

I thought it was an interesting game, definitely neat to see everyone playing. I honestly havent seen my town so alive with people before or even after Pokémon Go came out. I would see mobs of people everywhere. I even happened to go down a nature by a river in my town that I knew for years and never explored before, so there's that.

However just like an fad it had its time, but still happy anniversary Pokémon Go. The only mobile game that had my attention longer then a few hours.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (4th July)

Tasuki

Well, its July 4th weekend which means one thing

Jaws Retro Edition (Switch) Yep I am going to need a bigger console. This game has a soft spot in my heart as it was the second NES game I ever played. So I will be starting it this weekend after of course I start my 4th off with watching Jaws as its not the 4th untill you watch it.

Forza Horizon 6 (Series X) Doing seasonal objectives.

Re: Mini Review: Arcade Archives 2 TEKKEN (Switch 2) - A Welcome Throwback To The Iconic Original

Tasuki

@Diaclone_Dad Gon was only on the home port on PS1 he was never in the arcade version. As a result of him being in the game its very rare that they rerelease the home port of Tekken 3.

The Tekken 3 rerelease on PS4/PS5 is not technically a rerelease its part of PS+ Premium service where much like NSO a subscription gets people access to emulated PS1 games. The last time Tekken 3 was rereleased was a port of the Arcade version on Tekken 5 for the PS2.
