If you need more blue blur in your life, perhaps a Sonic the Hedgehog double game pack for Switch might be of interest.
According to a new listing over on Amazon, Sega is releasing a package collection containing Sonic Mania and Team Sonic Racing. The page says it'll be arriving on 26th October this year for $39.99 USD. Here's the box art:

As you might recall, Sega has already released something similar in the past when it previously bundled Sonic Mania with Sonic Forces. Is this the two-in-one Sonic pack you've been waiting for? Leave a comment down below.

Weird how it's Vanilla Sonic Mania and not Sonic Mania Plus.
So is it mania and TSR all on one cartridge, or two cartridges in one case?
Ah yes, when I think about Sonic Mania, I also think of Team Sonic Racing. I mean somebody must've said that before.
.
@Doofenshmirtz Knowing Sega, it'll be Sonic Mania on cart and a download code for TSR.
@HotGoomba I think in a perverse way it makes sense. Sonic needs a retail presence - it's one of the few gaming brands that parents will buy for children on a whim in Asda/Tesco/Sainsbury's etc.
Making it a 2-for-1 deal says "this is Sonic and a lot of variety of Sonic. If your child likes Sonic you can't go wrong with this one!"
The original Sonic Mania instead of Plus though... That's probably Sega running the figures - I'd guess they can see through statistics that most casual players (and this type of package is aimed at the casual player) have enough of their fill of the game after the normal play through (I had) and that they can get the few that haven't to upgrade via DLC. It's still mega stingy from Sega though.
Sonic Mania (especially with its DLC making it the Plus game) is really good. Couldn't get into STR after playing the fantastic All Stars Racing Transformed on the Wii U.
STR is really dull, it was a nice idea but it just didn't really work
@LEGEND_MARIOID yeah. I picked it up and played it, and just couldn't get over the feeling that a port of Transformed would have been better.
Is this one of those releases which will be really hard for collectors to find in 10-15 years?!
Aww I was hoping for sonic racing transformed.
I thought it was 2 new sonic games coming as a double pack.
Good games if you haven't played them aready.
Sega should really retry Sonic racing on foot. The "boost formula" is absolutely perfect for racing.
If the cartridge contains both games, then that's pretty neat, but Sega are scummy as all hell if they're only including the vanilla version of Sonic Mania on the cartridge...
Where is sonic generations?
Imo the best sonic ever made.
Screenshots in the listings clearly show that this is Sonic Mania Plus (Ray and Split-screen Versus are only available in the DLC), which rules out the idea that they are releasing carts with only the original Sonic Mania on them (which, considering the only print run of Sonic Mania is Plus, would involve them having to print new copies of the game that contain less, when this is clearly more a "sell the stock we have fast" scenario). Takes less than a minute to rationally break this down, but people would rather lose their heads by complaining about nothing.
By all means, they could've made this a triple pack that includes Sonic Forces, but maybe they decided it would just be a third wheel and focused on their stronger games.
@Hackleckackle Games are only good if they are new?? Whatever
They should do Sonic Generations on Switch
@OorWullie
I think you mean “knowing Capcom”
Appealing offer but only if both are completely on cart and mania comes with dlc. No dlc on mania is enough to comepletly ruin this package and sells and based on the packaging this is likely.
Why hurt the sonic name with a half @×× attempt.
@DarkTron. If it truly is as listing and you suggest plus everything is on cart then this is excellent news and this will be a must have purchase for me next month. Honestly i wish more companies especially those who enter inflated stock price would rerelease their games and bundle them to increase appeal like this.
Referring to other games by inflated price comment.
I thought this might be Colors and Generations at first and was interested. Generations was decent and I really enjoyed Colors.
Good stuff. I really enjoyed Sonic Mania, and I’ve heard TSR is fun too. Lot of complaints here for Sega putting the two best recent Sonic games on one cart (maybe that’s debatable... I don’t think so).
Wish list - I also think Sega could make some good money by bundling the classic Sega Genesis (and maybe the CD and Game Gear) games with Mania on one cart.
When I read the title, I was hoping for a Generations/Colours combo pack, but this makes more sense.
@PlusUltra
Let’s not be dramatic here. Not having the Mania DLC would be a bummer, but it wouldn’t be the end of the world. Mania’s DLC is cheap ($5), so it’s not like it’d add a ton of extra cost to the package if it’s missing.
I was expecting both the racing games, perhaps with Link as DLC in one of them... weird.
A friend told me about this. Still a good deal for those who haven't played both games, honestly I feel Team Sonic Racing is rather underrated. Though, it is sad the version of Mania isn't the Plus version with the added content (I've been seeing this "Plus less" physical version in the wild for awhile now), even if the DLC is pretty cheap.
@Noid They basically already done with Sonic Forces Speed Battle, gets more content/stages/characters then the actual Sonic Forces or Team Racing
I already have racing digitally, so I probably won’t buy this. However, it seems like a fair price.
@quinnyboy58 I agree. I can't quite put my finger on it because on the surface Team Racing and Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed seem very similar. But while ASRT was one of my favorite games on Wii U (better than MK8 in my opinion), I can barely convince myself to play Team Racing.
@BionicDodo @TJC04
I would love for that to happen in the future. Definitely the best 3D games to come out of the series, though I haven't played the Adventure games.
Sonic jump'n'run games never made sense and Sonic racing games neither.
When i saw 2 pack i hoped to god it was adventure 1 and 2
How sad is it that the retro 2d game has to be used to entice people want to buy Team Sonic Racing? Because that's clearly what they're doing.
Now granted, Sonic Mania is better than nearly any game you can find at retail quite frankly, so anything that gets it in more hands is ultimately a positive. But considering the reception of both, it seems obvious why they put them together.
Friendly reminder Sonic Mania Plus is the only version that received a physical release, why would Sega go back and press cartridges for the original version? This is essentially a budget pack made with remaining stock at 40 dollars, I really doubt Sega is making new copies but even if that's the case both games easily fit on the 8 gb cartridge, no need to throw codes in the box
I clicked with high hopes, expecting a Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed port announcement packaged with the first entry or TSR. But no...
I need Transformed on my Switch, darn it!
@OorWullie I don't think Sega has ever done the download code thing before really
@BionicDodo I would be really down with this throw in Lost World for a triple package. They should do a triple pack of the Sonic Adventure games and Heroes.
@Doofenshmirtz moans about bundles!
@DarkTron @Kr96
Actually, for some reason, America did get "Sonic Mania" rereleased without the "Plus"... Weird but it does exist.
I saw a vehicle and hoped for a double pack of the two better Sonic racers...and no not R or Drift 1&2!
@noswitchbutidc what
So you get a masterpiece paired with...whatever the heck that is
@RushDawg I think you mean, "knowing EA"
Don't own either of these on Switch yet, so I'll absolutely pick this up.
@RushDawg. Of course it would not end the world. Of course the dlc is cheap but we are talking about very little room the dlc would perhaps require so it would make absolutely no since for a big company like sega to troll us like that.
@LEGEND_MARIOID Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed is AWESOME! One of my favorites for sure. I feel ya on the team racing. I like it to a degree, but it’s not as fun as the last generation. I give them credit for mixing things up with the team aspect.
Better double pack than the Sonic Mania/Sonic Forces Pack.
@Flangela Do us a favor and do just that, plenty of people enjoy Sonic. You are in the minority here.
@Zorox88 Hell ya! That'd be a day 1 for me.
@HXLXIII who invited you to the party dear ?
@rockodoodle Yes. Certainly, that team play aspect applied to Sonic ASRT "2" would have been sweet as a mode or something.
Also, maybe incoporating the characters that were left out from the first Sonic Racing Wii game (I think they left out 2).
I believe the iOS version of ASRT had 1 or 2 extra characters. So maybe the Switch "definitive edition" or "no.2" game could have incorporated them.
Ah well.
@PlusUltra
Are you for real? Big companies don't "troll" their customer base. Do you honestly think that SEGA's management made the decision to "troll" potential customers? Seriously?
I don't get the hate, Team Sonic Racing is a very good game and Sonic Mania is quite disappointing compared to Sonic 3 & Knuckles but of course better than Sonic Forces and most Sonic 3D games.
