Re: Fire Emblem Engage Concept Art Shared In New Nintendo 'Ask The Developer' Interview

This was also in the interview:

"Since she usually draws young characters, she was concerned about her confidence level in some of the character design. It’s true that the designer’s skills should not be limited to drawing cool nobles and young girls."

Looks like a Red Flag to me, yikes!

I worked for an anime/manga distributor for a year. I had never immersed myself in that world before.

We had 22,000 SKUs for DVDs. Only 8,000 of them were non-pornographic.

After a while, it seemed like at the end if the day, most roads in the anime realm led to "cranking down to drawings of sexualized children".

This interview tidbit isn't doing the genre any favors.

I'm still excited for the awesome game gameplay mechanics, but it really is too bad about the character design.

"Cheesy OTT Anime Silliness"

Fate-reject character designs whose personalities go about as deep as "cheery and loves helping people"

I guess the in-depth character development worked for Three Houses because it made one feel feelings when you eventually had to start killing your former friends.

Might wait to see if the Divine Edition pops up in stores after the scalper 30-day return policy expires. Just like with the loftwing and Metroid Dread amiibos.

Had to check the video. You are 100% spot-on. What's up with the edgy-bro stylized version of the ball bouncing over the lyrics?

What passes for "Metal" nowadays is an absolute joke, a computerized mess of white noise.

Can we go back to emulating Judas Priest and Iron Maiden?
