@Polvasti I dismissed the game at first and then decided to give it a go together with my girlfriend. 10 minutes later we were in tears from all the laughing. The hiliarity of this game is something else. It's so unassuming and then bam.

On a more serous note it's clickbait and it works. There are so many fear mongering takes on yohtube that I refuse to click on the vids out of principle. Enough is enough. The whole discourse around the switch 2 is dominated by misinformation fear mongering and just in general negativity, that Im gonna stay away from such articles. Let me make up my mind come launch. You wanna pre order? Do it. You dont wanna pre order? Dont do it. Wanna get it later? Sure. You dont wanna get it all? Also fine. But this whole trying to convince the other side is getting tiresome.

I haven't "upgraded" to the OLED version. I have a huge backlog and with the switch 1 joycons being as flimsy as they are, I'm gonna get the switch 2 mario kart bundle at launch. Already preorder via a big tech retsiler here as they get more copies. Now I've already gotten an email a few days ago that informed that the supplier may ship it later 17th at the latest. Im not in a hurry per se but I see it as future prooving my swit h library aswell as getting the switch 2 exclusives that I want.

I'm getting the switch 2 as a replacemnt for my launch switch so I can continue on the back log while getting the occasional switch 2 exclusive. I see it as a way of future proofing if that makes sense

My question is how do switch games run on switch 2 without the upgrade. Take botw for example. I wanna now is how does it run without the upgrade? Is it locked 30? Or is performance exactly the same as switch. Thats what I wanna know.

@andyg1412 It's not just about the gamecube games. Racing games are much better with analogue triggers. Just imagine mario kart but you can control your speed. You know like any other racing game? Its such a small thing but no nintendo gotta nintendo. This is just pathetic on their part. Every other console has analogue triggers. Mostnpc pads have annalogue triggers. Switch 2 the "improved" console in the year 2025? No analogue triggers .... you expect me.to cough up almost 500chf but give me a console thats basically the same as my current switch? Yeah no...the more I hear an think about the switch 2 the less excited I am for it.

@Magician the fromsoftwsr subreddit is in full on crisis mode. So yeah its not just sony fans or whatever. Just dont bring up bloodborne and it's exclusivity in the sub.if you do they bring insane mental gymnastics how this time it's different and worse.

@SalvorHardin Im afraid that this'll be the route nintendo will go down harder with switch 2. We've had several examples of this during the switch 1 era sadly. I hope I'm wrong but who knows. I just miss the days of games that stand aloen without a dlc but I'm aware these days are long gone. At least that's what it feels like to me. Now enough doom and gloom, I look foward to the switch 2 and what outstanding experiences Nintendo will deliver.

@Elbow Frontier was almost great. But the forced 2d sections killed it for me especially on the 3rd Island. Run 5 meters boom 2d. Run another 5 meters boom 2d. It was so bad for me that I quit the game there. So frustrating. Why is it so hard to look at what adventure 2 did and refine that? Even sonic 06 from a gameplay standpoint felt like the adventure games. Remaster that and I bet poeple would like it. As for the boost formula games. Unleashed is still the best in that regard imo. It feels like for evedy step foward they take, they take 3 steps back. Let's hope this new game is focused in its gameplay. Stop reusing old assets and stages.

Already tripple dipped on this (switch, ps4 and pc). Sooooo pumped for the sequel. I'm usually very reserved when it come to announcements but announcing the sequel has me hyped.

C'mon where are twilight princess HD and Wind Waker HD on switch? So many "insiders claimed they are ready to be released amd what did we get?..... nada, nothing, zero. We get all sorts of ports but not the ones that would sell like hotcakes, instead we got skyward sword which wasnt loved as much. I bet metroid prime 2 and 3 will also never see a switch release. The only hope I have is pikmin since I never expected 1 and 2 to get a switch release

@Yalloo I totally get that if you're solely interested in the story there are several youtubers that summarize and analize it. Anyways it's good to have differing tastes.

@Yalloo haven't played it yet. But from what I've seen it's poitn and click style with minigames as you mentioned. In between there's dialogue which drives the story forward, like game maker games or i guess animal crossing in a way. It also seems to be quite short so the price seems to be fair . Hope I could help out a bit.

It's a fantastic little series and despite it's simple graphics, manages to be really scary. The rotoscoped cutscenes are fantastic and if you're interested you can fi d the reference footage on youtube. It's really interesting to see.

I sort of get it, but Miyamoto is quite a common name in japan no? Atlest I wouldn't confuse this game with Shigeru Miyamoto... I dont k ow maybe I'm thinking too much about it and reading too deep into it.....

I thi k the problem is more nuanced than just money. Artful games often don't sell well since many people write them off as artsy fartsy. Take the witness for example or gris or pentiment. Pentiment loos fantastic but the game simply didn't do it for me and I feel alot of people feel like this. Games live and die ny their gameplay and that is hard to nail when the tastes vary so much between your audience. Live service even tough we can hate it all we want seems to work in driving numbers. Unless we talk about concord.....or suicide squad....

@Serpenterror I hate that they took away the virtual console. So much potential for improvement was lost. Now its let us drip feed you 2 or 3 games when we feel like it. Honestly this subscription craze is starting to wear on me more on more. Can't wait for next gen when every game is rental only. I'm being hyperbolic here but it feels like that's where we are headed.
