@Ralek85 I get what you're saying and I was hyperbolic in my comment, but to me this is the wrong direction. Having someone yap in your ear during gameplay is the opposite of what metroid is imo. Metroid is about survial in isolation. Imagine metroid dread ans soemone vomstantly making jokes and telling you where to go and just in general talking about stuff. Tension would be gone immediately. Now obviously I haven't played the game so I cannot say how beyond will handle it. I have faith in Retro studios but im more cautios than optimistic. We will see come december. Hopefully we look back and we can say, thank god it didn't turn out to be a deadpool style quip fest.

Possibly more whimsy than exploration......oh god please no.....no....dont go the marvel/disney route please.... sigh.... these previews are having me worried. Will be waiting on reviews as well as players impression. But what I've read so far has me worried. Why does every bit of entertainment have to be disney/marvel style? Metroid dread was fantastic..... if prime 4 should fall short, give us prime 2 and 3 pls nintendo.....

I played the test and I just want to know how the singleplay aspect is gonna be. So far its fun but with just 3 courses and city trial its obviulsy just a very very small portion of the main game. Performance wise it's great and city trial is a lot of fun. What I dont get is that they have accessibility options but you cant freely select them. You have 3 presets though which is better than nothing.

Good I hope nintendo loses this patent nonsense. Pokemon isnt even the first summon creatures to fight game..... patenting gameplay like this should not be allowed...imo. I mean look at the patented nemesis system that Warner Bros has. This cool gameplay mechanic is just there collecting Dust.

Air riders and metroid prime 4 are the big hitters for me. I'm not gonna get them.at launch though unless I see a sale. Prices are getting ridiculous and honestly, I have such a big backlog, it wouldn't hurt cleaning that one up a bit

Hit and Run remaster or atleast re-release. Fortnite isn't a game I'm going to concider. I cannot get on with Battle Royales. I don't see the fun in it. I tried fortnite way back when, I tried Apex, the finals, warzone.... i just cannot with these type of games.

I'd like to think that exclusivety doesnt matter as much as it just being a good game. You know what I mean? I think that your console shouldn't be just because of exclusivety but of the features it offers. Games should be available on any platform if possible/ feasible. The more choice the better. On the other Hand exclusives are what sells systems so.....

Call me a broken record but.... where is Metroid prime 2 and 3? Ninty port them at the least..... or release them on the gamecube online app thingy....you know the one that you basically forgot until you guys remembered you could release luigis mansion on it...( not a complaint on getting Luigi). Man we got a complete pikmin series on switch but metroid doesn't get the same treatment. At least Metroid prime 4 didn't get cancelled, cuz for a while it seemed like it was.

@Jeronan I've stopped engaging in this comment thread since my original comment got deleted for trolling, (which it wasn't). Apparently criticism towards the big N is not allowed. Tbh I'm tired of this fanboy echochamber nonsense thats been picking up steam again. I just want to play my switch 1 games and some simply either dont work or have issues. If you advertise your console as backwards compatible and said feature doesnt work, I am gonna complain. Especially if you're gonna advertise the switch 2 as a replacement.

Thinking of getting galaxy 2 since I got galaxy one on the all stars collection. Maybe on a sale......

@TKundNobody where do i spread hate? I am disappointed but apparently I'm not allowed to voice said disappointment. Their own list of game sthat have issues is incomplete aswell. Nintendo is behind the times in sever aspects, there's no denying that. Plus if I advertise a co sole with full backwards compatibility and then there are issues with said compatibility then customers will be upset and disappointed.... oh and nintendo still hasn't given out devkits to those that need it. So how gan devs fix their games if they dont have access? In that case its on nintendo to fix their emulation code. But nintendo is so good at emulation, that fan afforts regularly blow them out of the water time and time again.... I criticize nintendo because they can and should do better. If that makes me a "hater" (people seem to have forgtotten what hate means) then sure label me a hater

@nhSnork you cant tell me that giving me a green or blue or whatever background (not animated) impacts performance....as for the folders being added, I never noticed that so that's on me. Idk to me the switch 2 feels like I said sterile and lifeless. Gone are the little touches. Instead they even removed the eshop music. The switch 2 lacks in personality. It's just so sad to see amd the games seem.to follow suit. Mario kart world for example just recently got an update where they show the question mark pads on the map. Something that should've been there on launch day. Idk nintendo has become a bit like the rest of the industry. Soulless and fix it later mentality....or I am just growing out of one of my favorite hobbies since childhood (at 31yrs old😅)

Nintendo has gotten so boring. Where are the customization options loke different colored backgrounds? Why can I not use my screenshots for background image? Still no themes? New profile pictures? Why can I not make my own without using the premade stuff from nintendo? Still no folders? The switch 2 doesnso many things right and yet I havent used it since bananza came out....it's just so sterile.....when series x has more personality than switch 2 well......

If there's a difference to the 3d allstars edition then I'll get galsxy 1 but otherwise I'll just get galaxy 2

@Thomystic themes or simply more colors. It's still just black and white and its boring and lacks personality. It's so sterile feeling. A good folder system like every other console. E ahop is still lacking an add to cart feature which means you have to buy everything separately. Every other console has a shopping cart. Even the ps3 had one..... you're profile picture has to be premade using stuff nintendo gives you. You cant upload your own pictures on it like once again evedy other console. Stuff like this is so basic yet nintendo misses it completely. It's baffling really

Another ninento L. I loathe confident nintendo. The pokemon patent BS. The ridiculous out of touch pricing of everything nintendo has a hand in. The lack of basic features missing in both switch 1 and switch 2. The fact that nintendo games are now gettint in on the trend of missing features at launch which should be common sense... Idk. At 31 it's probably me and I'm turning into the cloud yelling Grandpa, but all of this in combination with how nintendo treats consumers just makes me less and less excited to buy their games.... modern gaming sucks. Take Borderlands 4 for example. Fun game but crashed 3 times in 4 hours of playing..... sucks to see one of my hobbies suffering like this...

This game has the same problem as destiny. Its incomprehensible for newcomers imo. I played it years ago before the plains of eidolon (I think that is what it was called) update. And it skiped me to the new expansion. However in doing that i missed all context for the story and well it just threw up tutorials after tutorials which didnt explain much and I needed to watch guides to understand all the new systems. Which turned me off the game pretty quickly. Atleast that's what I remember

It's probably my age, but I've never beaten hollow knight. Im also struggling a bit with cronos new dawn. Though for different reasons than Hollow Knight. This is the main reason I'm not gonna attempt Silksong. I'm kinda past overly difficult games (for the most part) and just wanna chill

I dont understand how nintendo could look at this drab lifeless game and decided yep this looks good. It looks depressing. No color, no flashy animations. No cool character designs. Nothing it's so barebones looking. Add the gameplay which looks boring and I fail to see selling point.....

Inb4 it getting canceled like so many promising games. It having a gameplay trailer means nothing these days.

I'm usually a wimp when it comes to horror games. But I can't wait for Cronos. Though I'll probably play it on pc. If the port is good I may double dip on a sale.

Nah I got to the Dung beetle boss and never beat him. I just dont have the frame perfect reflexes for this game.

I could never finish HK so I'm not gonna be bothering with silksong. That means any game that delays because of silksong hurts a bit. But I understand the reasoning

By extrapoliting the resolution of the fingerprint smudges with the indirect capture footage, while keeping glare in mind, I have come to the following expert conclusion.... the game runs on switch 2 at the resolition it runs at. The fps is existent with the occasional non existence. As an expert in analyzing nothing I state therefore: It runs on switch 2. Thank you all for your time.

@rjejr depends on how fast you are but I estimate around 4 hours. I didn't time it though. According to how long to beat it seems 3 to 5 hours is the timespan

The game struggles on any hardware. Even on PC it seems inconsistent depending on your pc build. Fromsoft is known for making fnatadtic games with really bad optimization

Just started playing it. Needed to get used to the inverted camera BUT man is this game oozing charme. How I missed this back in the day i do not know but playing it now is well worth it

I wish I could get into system shock but I just can't. I get past the intro and then get lost immediately and then die. Early on an alarm goes of because of pressure or something and I cannot deal with time sensitive spikes like these when I have no layout of the map. So I just get lost, run in circles and then die. Everything looks the same. I get its a classic but having never played the originals and now coming back it just is so unclear where to go and what to do. It just confuses me. Interestingly enough no issues liem.that with bioshock or prey so.... it a me problem but not one I can do much about. Other than playing with a walkthrough at which point I might just watch a lets play. Glad about the physical for those that want it. Hopefully LGR delivers (heard many bad stories about them)
