@Maxsk8g @Anti-Matter i actually also thought of that. A main game with pokken style fighting. It can be possible, it just takes a lot of time. Though if they do that they only have to do it one time and evolve from it and will again make it a unique game. What bothers me now sometimes, also in sun and moon is that you put a pokemon to sleep, you attack it and then still manages to dodge it. After more then 15 years of playing(excl white/2 and black/2) it kinda becomes tiresome. Besides that, it would be nice to have more influence on what a pokemon does in battle especially when it comes to dodging.

This does seem nice but nothing really new. more excited for sonic mania. I really want them to continue the Adventure saga, not for gameplay i think sonic colors did the best gameplay wise but sonic had a interesting storyline which made it very interesting as a platformer. I really like the adventure games for their story even though the gameplay, besides sonic and a few others sucked. After Shadow the Hedgehog they kinda just left it, and sonic chronicles never had a sequel. I like the fact that other characters get more story development (espacially Shadow) but sonic himself doesnt really has a story or origin. Its kinda what still makes him cool.

I understand people waiting to buy it. Im also waiting but more because i still have a lot of 3ds games to finish. But if everybody would be waiting for 'childhiks' then the switch would be a flop right now as would any other console because stuff like this happend with other consoles at launch too, nintendo or not. Besides, if there wouldnt be early adopters then we wouldnt have known about these issues on a consumers basis. So its al very contradicting.

@LeRaposa how do you know that the Switch wont get AAA 3rd party games? A lot of developers praise the Switch. And BOTW kinda blows away every open world being made till this day. And having Unreal Engine4 will make it a lot more easier for developers to work with even if they have to downgrade games.

Trend of AAA games being this blockbuster movie like thing is fading away, people just want their games now.

Its not a problem. Buy a SD card and a lot of people have SD cards laying around somewhere in the house. This also says that Nintendo supports physical purchases more then digital which im fine with. In the future biggers sd cards ate available but its optional. If you want to go mostly digitall then again buy a SD and if you are going to go physical you actually have nothing to complain about.

I hate these commercials. They are to Wii like.

Its better, it makes it more attractive to go physicall with the games.

@Anti-Matter this feels like my own story. My first game machine was the gameboy. But my first home console was the PSX. My cousin that lived with did got a N64 for his birthday later on but he didnt cared THAT much about it to consistently buy games for it. I didnt missed Nintendo though because the gameboy(line) satisfied me. It was up untill the gamecube that i went back to them and enjoyed a lot of games(1st and 3rd party) but i bought a ps2 in 2007 because of God of War and also a lot of other games that i wanted to play(DBZT3😂). I spend more time with Handhelds though, even the PSP(dont have Vita). The PS3/Wii/XB360 era also kinda changed my love for gaming also. The Wii was nice but i didnt like the fact that games like mario and zelda also made use of motion control without a normal ways to play. I never liked the xbox brand and im convinced that they are a big part of all the bad things happening within the industry right now. Sony then followed them and here we are in a age of gaming were resolution is more important then graphics which are more important then gameplay. And all the good games released on older or less powerfull hardware are now suddenly considered as being bad. And this then mostly based on games not looking realistic enough. All the games that looked good on the ps2/GC era still looks good today. Why do you think that they just do HD remastered instead of full remakes.

I could understand the Switch not having streaming services. But no webbrowser?! That kinda dissappoints me. I think the Switch is going to be a great succes but not having a web browser is going to make me wait atleast till fall this year. There is literally nothing to do on the Switch if you just buy the console for 329 euros. I cant support that no matter how much i love Nintendo. Yes its a dedicated gaming device but not having anything on the Switch itself is just ripping people off. Nintendo are forgetting that they have a lot of 3ds only gamers who didnt miss console gaming at all and if it werent for the Switch, wouldnt even think about buying a console in the 1st place. I just bought Zelda MM and pokemon Sun is also still on my list... Just saying Nintendo. If the Switch fails then the 3ds is the last game console ive bought. I like playstation also but after the ps2, psp and ps3 sony kinda lost it. They care so much about specs that all of those ps4 games kinda look like games you found on PC(eastheticaly) back in ps2 era.

I dont mind the 3ds being around for another 2 years and after that a good 'fading' period. And i also think that the 3ds is going to do well on the secondhand market and also with rare games. I have a new 3ds but still got my old one too so who knows.

They can keep the 3ds around as a budget nintendo console and maybe even re-release some older titles like Resident Evil revelations and MGS3D. A lot of 1st party games are 'player choices' now. The 3ds doesnt have to go anywere and can survive atleast 3 years if nintendo keeps the marketing at a certain level.

People still discussing, The Switch is what Nintendo says it is, A Home console you can take on the Go. Simple as that. And is it already been confirmed that the Switch cant handle 3rd party games? Because i still cant find the exact specs anywhere besides speculations for people to talk like this on a FREAKING NINTENDO site!

Also very suprising that a lot of commenters here are falling for these doom scenarios mostly made buy Nintendo haters. Just listen to Player Essens on youtube. He is very optimistic but also critizises what is needed to be critizised. That how you should look at a new unreleased console instead of judging based on a past console.

I really love the switch, i already didnt feel like buying it at launch. Not because of the presentation but more because i still have a lot of 3ds games to play and finish and also a few i finished but not at 100% so i still have a lot to do before buying the switch. And now after the reveal i am still excited for the switch but in no way has it replace my love for the 3ds.

No streaming services is kinda lame though. Especially if you look at the launch games. Having a few launch games isnt really that bad but if games is the only thing you can do at launch and there isnt really a packed in game either, then their isnt a great incentive to buy this thing at launch. Zelda is gonna be one of the greates games ever but i want the switch to be my ''new ish'' sorta speak no matter if i play games or do something else on it.

They should have released 2 intirely different bundles instead of joycon color variations. What they shouldv done was release one version with the joycons and one version instead of the Joy cons the pro controller. That would be much better.

I didnt mind it not being in the presentation. Only the fans watched it this morning the average consumer did not. We are the marketing you guys, look at everybody talking, its all over the news know. Nintendo is just pulling a 'Beyoncé' and hopes this goes mouth to mouth. We know now that mario kart 8 is coming in april and the whole fact that it was not in presentation already generates buzz only for that game.

I did expect more 3rd party games from western developers to be shown but maybe with a presentation that is more western oriented then this one. Besides that im still excited especially after Zelda. I did told myself that no matter how good the switch looked i can only buy it after finishing certain 3ds games i still play and some replay now, after selling and rebuying them.

200 bucks is not worth it, knowing that the switch might receive some ports of Wii U games. Nintendo should sell it for 150 bucks at highest. Otherwise its best for them to retrieve the remaining Wii Us in stock and recycle those parts for something else. Not making the Wii U cheaper still scares me when it comes to Nintendos mentality. They really want their heads to stay deep in their Japanese.

The series was a nice adaption of the videogame storyline. Even though its unfortunate that its over now and that the episodes were very short, there is one thing that ive learned... that pokemon is one of the coolest gaming franchizes ever and im happy that i experienced its debute aswell as seeing it grow into becoming more part of popculture in these last 16 years.

I liked the ad. It was nice. As long as they keep them darn kids out of their advertisement im happy. (That one kid in this commercial at the end and the baby were okay though)

AR is going to reach further then VR. VR reality cuts you of from the real world while AR fuses the real world with the digital world to a certain extend. For an example they might have a sattelite in the air that gives of signals and your AR glasses receive these signals. With that they could make it seem as if Pokemon really excist if future technology allows it. VR will never reach that, it cuts you off from the 'realworld'. For an example youre virtual reality might be different then that of another person, and otherwise they going to need a massive server to have a simultaneous experience for all players.

@RealPoketendoNL Hey im from Utrecht. It isnt released here yet? I thought it was a worldwide release on the 18th. I just bought Pokemon OR (again) after rebuying-playing X (long story) and still buissy with the Looker story. So i wont be buying Sun and Moon for a while anyways, but im very suprised.

i really wonder what the specs are if the price is around 250.

I never owned and hardly gor the chance to play on the Wii U only the (new)3ds and it was the best way to play Nintendo games in my eyes, They were also better of porting twilight princess and windwaker to the 3ds which should be possible(HD resolution doesnt matter if the console doenst sell).
I had high hopes but and doubted a lot if i shouldv bought it or not but glad that i didn't.
3ds was the way to go for Nintendo. Though i hope i can play Bayonetta 1 and 2 on the switch some day.

its a nice lesson for nintendo to learn and that they should understand its not only about their games but also about playing games in general and thats why its important to have 3rd party games including games made in the west.

Nintendo can be great again and the switch can help them with it and though i dont really care about specs(hence why i only needed my 3ds to be satisfied) for the switch i do think its important now. Nintendo gamers also deserve to play third party games in general without the need to buy a other console if nintendo is the pioneer of what the game industry is today (without the influence of the xbox brand ofcourse). The feeling i have with Xbox is the same that i have with trump being president now.

I loved the episode, it was great. I also loved Cynthia in this, I like how they draw the characters within there own interpretation instead of the main Anime which start to look more like straight op copy of ken sugimori's artwork (starting from the end of the Hoenn saga). Not bad in any way, but its nice that for generations they use more realistic proportions for the characters. Also the colors they use really remind me of older anime,

Im not suprised, Not that i expected croagunk to be in it but him being a fighting type shouldn't come over as being a miracle or something.

Geodude and its evolutions would also be a nice addition. To be honest i want all the pokemon to be inserted in Pokken. I hope that future main games of pokemon play just as this game when it comes to battling. Im excited for Sun and Moon but i also hope that these are the last games that use the 'turn based' mechanic and change in a more active battle experience. I mean a sleeping Pokemon that can avoid attacks... come on!

@ULTRA-64 youre not the only one. I only played the 1st game and never finished. Its a good game and the graphics are timeless. This game as an example that HD graphics arent really needed for a good game

Not suprising at all, the Wii was de console that made this game populair in the first place. I played the 2008 version i think a few times, was a fun game to play with my nices but totally not a game i would buy on my own ( that didnt' own a Wii, XB360 nor Ps3 so i missed out a lot of gaming in that period, was enjoying my DS and PSP at the time) .

I think that Nintendo/Developers can still make a nice profit if they make cheap games like just dance. A lot of people still own a Wii.

I dont know if 4 GB is enough for the switch. My IT knowledge doesnt go that far but as of now i cant conclude that its going to be a problem for developers. Before the Wii U was presented you already heard a lot of developers saying it was a weak console compared to ps4 and XBone. I haven't heard developers complaining now but only complimenting it.

I'm starting to think that Nintendo has implemented a new form of technology ( besides the Tegra) that makes game optimizing more efficient then compared to the competition. I mean the biggest complaint of the Wii U was lack of games and partly because of lack of third party support. So how are they going to make another mistake like that again before its even released.

In some way i also worry after being very enthousiastic but at the same time something tells me that the time has come not to worry about nintendo anymore when it comes to game delivery.

I don't need all the third party games but the all the AAA games that receive commercial on TV should also come to the Switch ( Sportgames, Assasins Creed, Skyrim, CoD etc) as an matter of fact the only difference between the compition should be 1st party games and some wannabee triple A shovelware.

Nibelsnarf VR. Wat people now see as VR is not what i see as VR. To me VR is really like Johnny Quest/Matrix poop, not what they are doing now. Its still atleast 40 years before we might even think of real VR.

300 to 400 is a reasonable price range, what yall fooling around for? If this the console that gives us 1st party aswell as most 3rd party games i will be happy to pay 400 euros. For me its not just about the Switch i support the whole movement nintendo is going through to become atleast number 2 in the competition. Sony and Microsoft are to submissive to the consumers and that results in what the industry is right now. a wannabee PC industry, while it should be about the games. Yes ofcourse you need certain specs to play certain games but its mostly focussed on graphics and resolution and not on the gameplay. Thats where Nintendo can save the industry as being proven by zelda being both on wiiu and the switch

@BiasedSonyFan Its just speculation ofcourse, but i do think that Nintendo having a combined architecture is the way to go for them right know.

A lot of people are already saying that the mobile aspect of the Switch doesnt really appeal to them and they will always keep it docked for homeplay.
Its very possible that the Switch console is the cheaper one en the non handheld version the more expensive one or even otherway around based on the specs. Everything is possible right now.

Yes we now know what the Switch is but we still dont the specs of the machine and we dont know Nintendo new plan overall, i mean is the Switch brand the new Quality of Life?

I do think they will make multiple devices under de Nintendo Switch brand or otherwise 'architecture'. The important thing of the Switch is not necessarly the console itself, but nintendo having a architecture that is easy to develop for, right now but also in the future.

If the Nintendo Switch, as it has been presented has lower power then the competition, then i bet my life on it nintendo wil release another console that is pure homebased but can use the same gamecards as the Switch but with more power(more details more resolution). As a matter of fact i wonder if the Switch is the only console that falls under the ''reboot'' that nintendo has as a company.

Either way, power is not that important to me and to be honest i don't think its that important overall. The reason why its important is because PS4 and Xbone cater to those High resolution nerds and those aren't the same people who want ''great graphics'' which are both different people then Nintendo like gamers. and with Nintendo like gamers i mean gamers who play for the games and can accept the norm instead of expecting the high standards.

'Nintendo like gamers' don't necessarly have to have Nintendo consoles or games but they are kinda the 'Anime game lovers' (Naruto, Dragonball X etc. ) They are a lot more about the immersion and the aesthetics/presentation then about seeing every pimple or that extra facial hair on a character just for the sake of realism even if it isnt important for gameplay. Final Fantasy 15 is a high graphical game and admitting that its a game that does require a certain degree of power but i do think that having lesser texture doesnt spoil the game at all. And that is what the new generation should be about.

Game companies shouldnt be affraid to treat customers less as 'king' because most people you hear complaining about resolution are just really the game nerds( mostly the rich kids, who get everthing from there parents hardly have to spend money to buy these things for optimal experience) and the people who just like videogames or the casuals hardly give a crap about al those details in textures. As long as it ruin the core game experience people will play it.

i really hope 3rd parties will support the Switch just as the other consoles. Its really time for ninty to step up( iv kinda cooled off sinds yesterday😝).

I dont mind the persian design, It makes the original persian special and still attractive for use. While alolan persian is a nice suprise if you want an dark pokemon but the comprimise is that he is a bit more ugly. Its a nice twist! Same goes for the other Alolan forms of kanto pokemon.

The only designs i dont like are bruxish and drampa, they are so uninspiring that i really wonder how they come up with putting them in this game or calling them pokemon in the first place. Especially Bruxish!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept my cool the whole time, but after this official announcement i feel like i wanna scream at top of the biggest mountains how excited i am. I can wait for march to buy it, but i can wait for the reveal of this thing anymore i need to know what the NX is, all my internet sessions in the last 3 months was about searching and following information of the NX.

I just know that Nintendo is gonna take over the industry with this thing. The only thing i wonder is how much third party support they get but if that's on level, then Sony and Microsoft are done from now on. And i think mostly XBox wil be in trouble (ever sinds original Xbox i wonder why the xbox exist, it was just a way for microsoft to take over the industry then being passionate about gaming) .
By the time the power of the XBscorpio will be relevant, both sony and nintendo will also have there new consoles after the PS4pro and NX. I want the Japanese to become a bigger part of the indsurty with the mistakes learned from the past when catering to the west.

I haven registered myself on my nintendo but i didn't see any incentive to do this. Nintendo should quit with the cheapscake act that they are doing when selling there games. It would be more logical if physical copies stayed the same price and digital versions get discounts.

I mean super mario land is still 45 euro's both physical and digital. Why? The game isn't THAT good even though i love it. I understand that there games have quality but it doens't invite new players at all who might doubt buying it in the first year and plan on buying it later hoping for a discount, cause you know not everybody has the money to buy games at full price and waiting for a players choice can take forever to happen.

Full price for 1 till 2 years is okay, but in the third year after release it should atleast have a 10 euro/dollar discount no matter how good the game is. People who want to play it are gonne buy it as soon as possible anyway but seeing super mario 64DS (yes the DS game) for 45 euro almost 8 years after release is very greedy for a company as big as nintendo.

@Ninten-san Show isnt boring at all. The main anime has plenty of action for over 500 episodes go watch that. This is for the main game lovers who still have unanswered questions with certain events happening in the game.

@Xaldin English is bad..? The dutch version is ten times more worse. Especially if you compare it to the main anime in dutch because that one has pretty good voice acting and you can hear that the VA's really enjoy there characters. I watch XY series on TV a while ago and i wa suprised that ash still has the same dutch actress as when i was kid in 1999 en up until the hoenn saga when i was still watching it. Only James and Meowth has very different voices compared to older episodes.

But i was very disappointed with the dutch version of generations. Its a very unrelatable way of dialogue that they have and nobody in the netherlands talks like that.

Xbox fans:"Nintendo is for kids" now multiple Nintendo emulators coming out on Xbox one.

The animation isnt bad. People are just upset with ash being redesigned. He does look younger but who cares. This show is aimed at kids and to promote the games mostly. Pokemon is kinda like the Simpsons

@hYdeks @JaxonH Ooh ok. I understand the preference of games and for that, you should buy a Xbox if your games are there. Besides that though, i dont see any reason to buy a scorpio just for the specs. Its still months away and i dont think that Xbox one s being the "real" 4k player is gonna beat the PS4 in sales or is going to benefit the Xbox community. Actually i think it would devide them cause they are defenitly going to promote it under XBONE brand but it technically is a "new" console with a lot more power which developers are going to utilise at some point. 4k is nice but i will never buy a console for that. If a game looks good, it looks good no matter what kind of tv you have.

I dont have a 4k tv. No one i know has a 4k tv. Buying a PS4 pro, partly being a 4k machine and having slighty better performance is nice for 399 which was the original ps4 start price. This is a huge advantage commercially and it seems more of a choice for the consumer.

The only advantage the Scorpio has for me is the changeable HDD. But i have to be honest with you guys i dont really like the xbox brand. The only thing the Xbox brand did good was the online service but more about the service. That you had to pay to play online always bothered me(i hate that sony does it now too and i hope that nintendo doesnt fall for that) and the whole FPS decease was also because of the XB360 era in which they did had an advantage over the PS3 for a while for being the cheaper console.

Microsoft brought some good things to the game industry but more in benefit for them then the consumer. Same with the Scorpio, why not just call it the next Xbox console. Only reason i can find is that they dont want to alienate the original XBONE owners. But if that is the case are developers able to utilise the scorpios full advantage that are noticeable for the average consumer. Yes for gamers with a bit of technical knowledge it might matter but for the average consumer it doesnt and also, will it gain moment before Sony comes with the next gen PS. I dont think so!
