All good things come to an end
The Pokémon Generations video series has been hugely popular, with high-quality animations telling the story from all of the main series releases up to Pokémon X & Y. Now the final episode is live - The Redemption.
It's a rather nice way to end the series, albeit lacking the over-the-top explosive battles that have been typical throughout the run - check it out below.

Hopefully they'll revisit the concept in the future. Maybe after generation 15.
That was... underwhelming.
I mean, the episode itself was nice and the animation was as good as ever, but this just what we've seen in-game. Why couldn't we have seen something with Zygarde? Or at the very least tell a new story about AZ.
Oh well... But, overall, I really like Pokémon Generations. Sure, maybe its due to its plucking at the nostalgic strings, but it was a genuinely good effort and a great watch. Props to the Pokémon Company!

Finally I can binge watch it.
The series was a nice adaption of the videogame storyline. Even though its unfortunate that its over now and that the episodes were very short, there is one thing that ive learned... that pokemon is one of the coolest gaming franchizes ever and im happy that i experienced its debute aswell as seeing it grow into becoming more part of popculture in these last 16 years.
I think I'm the only one who didn't enjoy these.
I completely called it in the previous episode's article that the final episode would be like that. It was quite nice, but just like the previous one, and Deoxys battle, I wish they had used the chance to show us more of what we haven't seen before, like every other episode.
But I can't argue they were well animated and had a much more mature aura all around it, compared to the actual anime. It was a fun ride while it lasted. I hope they do that again someday.
AZ has a great backstory. X and Y's story didn't do him any justice.
I liked the episode, but it offered nothing we hadn't seen in Pokemon X and Y. Why didn't they show Red meeting Zygarde like they did in the trailer and Episode 1? The meeting of new and old would have been a nice end to the series. Oh well!
Back on Pokemon X I always wondered why AZ's Floette looked different from the others. I wonder if the reason is connected to the Bond Phenomenon, but if that were the case AZ would've died in the war too. Hmm...
@ShadowLuigi2 Eternal Floette is supposed to be obtainable at some point, with her exclusive move Light of Ruin.
Dunno when the distribution will be though.
@Gridatttack - Data for that Eternal Floette is in Sun/Moon apparently. I do hope they release it soon (preferably via internet)...
This was a neat little thing
Much wasn't presented that wasn't already in X/Y, but it was still neat to see nonetheless. This was probably one of the very few touching moments for me in Y.
I really enjoyed this series, and it would be nice to see more shorts like this in the future.
@Gridatttack Probably years from now, or maybe not at all. I thought it was gonna be an event in Pokemon XY years back, but it never happened. Same with the Volcanion in the Kalos Power Plant event. If Eternal Floette ever does become an event Japan will probably get it first while everyone else months after.
Meh, It didn't really do much beyond what was already in the game cutscenes.
Only Sun/Moon , Ash looks different.
This was overall a decent series, but too many of the episodes were based on lesser side stories rather than actually adapting the main climaxes of the games.
For example, we still haven't had the climax of Pokémon Emerald with Rayquaza breaking up the fight between Groudon and Kyogre shown in animé. That's the kind of stuff I was hoping to see in "Generations," not these over-dramatic side stories.
Is that the girl whose mom is telling the story? Like the fan theory?
@Radixxs Well you seemed to have watched until the end of the series so you couldn't have thought they were that bad.
I would love to see an anime focused on the TCG card game ya know? but...not gonna happen =(

@Interneto Neither did Episode 11 (The Old Forest). And Episode 15 (The King Returns) was heavily changed from B2 and W2.
