It's a weekly treat that keeps on giving (until 23rd December), with The Pokémon Company continuing the run of its rather popular animation series - Pokémon Generations.
This time we have Episode 11: The New World, and the lore may start to feel familiar to those that have only jumped into Pokémon in more recent generations. It's another interesting episode, which doesn't hold back on big concepts and dramatic events.
Let us know what you thought of this episode.

Obligatory SINNOH CONFIRMED!
I think team rocket would have a thing or two to say about those people's fashion choices
@Yoshis95: I could see Team Flare taking issue with their fashion as well.
I can see Team Skull not caring at all about their fashion.
This was definitely amazing, I just wish we saw at least a glimpse of the main trainer in the short with Cynthia
This anime just wets my appetite for a proper adaptation of Silver/Gold like they did with Origins. Odds of happening slim, but that does not mean I do not want it!
Anime connection time! OLM the company that makes the Pokemon anime series also worked on Berserk (1996). The interesting connection is that Studio 4°C later re-adapted Berserk (The Berserk Golden Age film trilogy) and also worked on the animated shorts for another beloved Nintendo series Kid Icarus: Uprising and assisted with the animated cut-scenes for Tokyo Mirage Sessions. Small world eh?
My favourite so far, purely for the sake of Giratina and the portrayal of the distortion. Maybe a little bit of Platinum love as well.
@Tyranexx I'll admit, despite my love for them, Plasma did look ridiculous, although the sequel's were more inconspicuous. Plus there was N (dreamy sigh)
What's the general consensus about this new series? Has there already been enough reboots of Pokemon that people have grown tired of this?
@Ed_Fairway: I definitely rank Plasma over Flare for sure simply for character development (and N). This is probably one of my favorite episodes of Generations so far; Giratina's portrayal is amazing, and the Distortion World is one of my favorite areas in the whole series.
@RetroRider Except this isn't a reboot. Pokemon has no reboots.
Giratina's splendid!!!!!!!
Is there a reason there are no Japanese voiced versions of these shorts?
I find it odd they would have the Pokemon Generations Team makes these, than not release it to the Japanese audience as well. I want to see what their voice selections would have been for some of the characters.
I loved the episode, it was great. I also loved Cynthia in this, I like how they draw the characters within there own interpretation instead of the main Anime which start to look more like straight op copy of ken sugimori's artwork (starting from the end of the Hoenn saga). Not bad in any way, but its nice that for generations they use more realistic proportions for the characters. Also the colors they use really remind me of older anime,
@RetroRider your comment is confusing. What Pokemon reboots are you talking about? There have been none, neither for the anime or the games.
This is just a series of short stories depicting events of the main games that you, as the player, wouldn't see. Filling in the blanks.
@TheLZdragon @Mogster
Oh I may be confused a bit then, I had thought there were a lot of different pokemon TV shows in the past.
I like how Girantina is all looking at Cyrus like" Welcome Home".
@RetroRider There's just the main series, which is still going on, and then there are Pokemon Origins and Pokemon Generations. Origins focuses more on the games themselves while Generations focuses on Legendaries and/or Team Bosses.
@TheLZdragon Whoa I can't believe the original show is still going. I thought it was done and that the newer episodes were just another series.
