That score is waay to high. I only bought Fifa 18 as the 1st soccer game in my life and I am 31 now. Not a bad game, but I can already see that Fifa21 is the exact same game just with tweaks in presentation and maybe some slight technical improvements.
Don't buy Fifa 21 at full price(and to be honest that goes for the main versions too😅) , unfortunately this series is not meant for Switch owners to enjoy at its full potential. EA does not want it either so why should Switch owners. Let them be predictable and stop releasing and then claim Switch owners don't like Fifa.
@ummyeahnintendo I get what you mean, I love pokemon but the turn based mechanics are showing its age. Especially considering how the Anime portrays the battle and games like Pokken Tournament. I really hope they give it a Final Fantasy approach with a small reboot.
Just give me Kanto with Trainer Red with a Breath of the Wild Interpretation of that region with expanded story and side quests.
Yeah but I believe the west also starts to care less about 'better visuals'.
Nintendo only needs to tweak a few things for the next Switch and fix the online, maybe a bit more power, but that's it. They kinda won with the 'hybrid concept', i believe that will save console gaming (in the future) and will be cloud gaming's main competition (the physical/digital VS cloud/connection)
@Jojarett87 yeah good points you make. But I do wonder what will happen with coming PS5, because it doesn't seem te be all that. Technologically it looks great but when it comes to pure gaming then I don't see why Its better then Switch or even PS4, besides loading times and frame rates.
They can make 'Switch versions' of RE7, RE2ReM and RE3ReM with the modified RE engine and maybe even put more emphasis on gameplay innovation vs the graphical fidelity of the PS4/XB1 versions. I personally don't have to see literally every piece of rotten flesh of zombies to experience the horror.
@BulbasaurusRex I think it worked great in Wii Sports resort Swordplay, never played Skyward Sword. Motion controls definitely wasn't a gimmicky mechanic, because Nintendo's hardware wasn't really up to par graphically it was treated as such. If the Wii had the same graphical fidelity as the PS3 and 360 than motion controls would'v become the default way to play shooters.
Not a bad Direct but definitely not good either. Though there are many 'outside directs' announcements so I am not that bummed. I think Nintendo will pick it up after summer with bigger announcements.
@Moroboshi876 You are getting the lesser version again🙄😅,
But like you said that does not mean it ain't worth it. And what I don't get we are discussing this under DF video. Not to say their opinions are like God's, but their viewpoints are highly respected on the technical front of gaming. DF is praising this port, just like they did with DOOM, Wolfenstein 2, Warframe etc despite considering the Switch is flaws. If that still makes you worry like you will experience another 'WWF2K18' or 'Ark Survival' on Switch than it might not be for you because the well optimized games can still be the lesser version.
Only Alien Isolation seems to have a bit better performance than the other console versions.
@TG16_IS_BAE and @Friendly there is no language barrier and both of you now it.
@Moroboshi876 was being pessimistic and I agree with @Friendly. Crysis for Switch has proved n to be very good port and @Moroboshi876 needed to point out its 'flaws in comparison to other versions'.
He literally spins it in a negative way for no reason where it's obvious you can expect a better performance on the PS4 and XB1.
I don't mind but atleast put in a book with artwork or a manual, a poster etc. Then it's atleast worth it to get physical without a game card. It's understandable companies finding it expensive especially in these times. But they can do better then just a case with a DL voucher🙄.
@mesome713 I get your point but remember that Street Fighter is also part of competitive Gaming, if they didn't consider that and also kept it PS4 exclusive then it would had less sales and maybe even less profile within the gaming community.
Both my nephew and my niece just bought a Switch, with Zelda.
I dont think its that much of a problem, people buy it more for what's already there then for what's coming. I think that it's really overestimated by the game community how much people really desire for the next gen consoles or 'the newest games' graphically.
I hear nobody talk about the next gen like they did with PS4/XB1 and before. People still play their PS4 like the next best thing, and the Switch has become a household name wether you have one or not, you know what it is.
Also you can have free to play games that still offers quality experiences like Fortnite and Warframe, so that makes buying a Switch a nice incentive, especially where they can be around 290 bucks now sometimes( besides Corona issues).
The SD card transfer is very good. I can now add more games because of better management between the two storages.
People should really give up on folders and themes. You can easily find games with the filter, folders can actually make it more of a mess and not every games falls under 1 category. Themes will only slow it down, i get it for the PS4 and Xbox1 because they can also play music but not for the Switch. It wouldv been nice but it's not necessary.
I dont know what can and cannot be ported to the Switch.
I think the latest RE games, will fit on the Switch with downgrades but still very much playable.
Plus i think it's very contradicting to say that 'it should be played on TV to get the' Full experience' while the point of the Switch is that the experience doesn't differ home or handheld. The only (to me slight) obstacle is the technical aspects but conceptually most 3rd party games run very well on Switch to still get the 'Full experience' like with Doom and Wolffenstein 2, even MK11.
My only problem is storage but otherwise I don't mind this game being digital only. This is a game that will need storage anyways with updates, patches DLC etc.
I think we need both physical and digital games, because it will lower the prices of gamecards and micro SD altogether, so please support both were you think you can👌🏾🤗.
Last consoles I had were GC/PS2 only (3)DS and PSP after that, so graphics aren't that of a sacrifice to me. I enjoy Doom a lot and looks fine to me.
Only blurriness I notice in 3rd party games is that some textures are a bit more pixelated but it's not significant. Only the geeks like us would notice but casual people won't.
@Razer I was planning to buy DMC1, is it really that bad of a port? I don't mind the lack of new content but performance wise I expected it to run well.
@HappyMaskedGuy though I don't mind them covering this, I do get where you coming from😂😂😂.
But its nice news, if I didn't came to this site today I wouldn't know about season 3 of Castlevania coming soon and it's still related to Nintendo's gaming history.
I still need to buy Bayo2 so don't mind at all. Bayonetta 1 is a very addictive game and hard to master and is still holding me off from 2 because of that.
@aresius That's because a lot of people are just uber ultra nerds who focus on every little performance dip that most won't notice. All the worst performing Switch games that are unplayable can be counted on 1 hand.
Though Nintendo does a lot better, this game proves that the marketing for non-Mario related IP's and 3rd party games should be more aggressive. Nintendo still priorities the Mario IP's and Pokemon while these games needs less marketing, they already sell themselves when 'thinking' of Nintendo. But this does not go for Astral Chain, Bayonetta or otherwise Doom, Wolfenstein 2 etc. and they need to communicate more aggressively that these are also or some even exclusively found on the Switch.
Especially the European (Dutch) department needs to get hold of this because the only TV ad I see is that of Luigis Mansion and Mario and Sonic🙄. Gamers who left Nintendo last few gens and are still doubting wont be inticed by these games, while there's a lot more going on on the Switch then on the Wii(U)
Sonic X was the best one to me, it was flawed but it represented the games the best, Sonic Boom is based on the 'Boom' spin off and I obviously don't like that game even though many say the cartoon is good.
Chris is kinda what made it a bit flawed, together with Sonic coming from a different dimension instead of just coming from Earth (which is something I already dislike from the live action movie even with the design change). But its still a good kids Anime.
However if you watch the American version like most have, then you unfortunately just didn't watch it how it supposed to be. And besides the unneeded censoring and some change in dialogue, the whole ambience of the show is totally different in the Japanese version. I downloaded the episodes back in 2003 from a Sonic fansite, i first watched the Japanese episodes and noticed the difference immediately when downloading the American versions.
The BGM of the American version is so different and it's constant through a whole episode without any silent moments. It's also very loud and uses some kind of a synth trompet or something constantly. This really ruïnes the suspense of certain scenes.
I highly encourage to (re) watch the Japanese version, you can watch it on YT for a longtime already and someone even uploaded newer files in higher quality and are full 25 minutes per clip. These are Raw episodes but you can use YouTube's own subtitles function for English translation. I am at episode 26 now, the Sonic Adventure saga, i am having so much fun. 😁😁
@ClassSonicSatAm I don't feel Forces or generations fixed it with classic sonic coming from a different dimension.
To me its all the same timeline, and the design change is just based on the type of Sonic game (classic or modern) with the classic style mostly representing pre-Sonic Adventure, 2d Sonic games. Whats unfortunate is that after Sonic 06 and generations they didn't took the story that serious anymore and took a more simple approach.
Sonic 06 wasn't bad because of the story (besides the 'kiss') but more because of the gameplay and Sonic games already being a bit controversial when it came to quality. There is so much to explore, mystery behind the Chaos Emeralds, the Master Emeralds and Knuckles backstory besides Chaos, this was kinda explored in the RPG Sonic Chronicles, . Emerl and his Gizoid background, also last explored in Sonic Chronicles.
So much potential but Sega and other developers working on the franchise just don't seem to be able to blend these story elements with good gameplay.
Respect for these developers for still seeing value on the 3ds. Like 4 real.
The 3DS can be profitable for atleast another 3 years as a ' quality budget' device. It doesn't even need new releases just a light promotion here and there for its already existing games.
@the4seer I know I am missing out. It's not that i will never play it, but after i have finished WW and TP not anytime sooner will I play BOTW. Simple as that, it's not like it will become less fun playing it years later😅.
You have no idea how i love all the ports also from the PS360WII era because i didnt own a consoles sinds GC/PS2, only PSP and 3/DS.
I don't see a need for it but it can be a option of course. I mean why not?
But i do think Netflix should come to Switch and maybe Disney+ (for the Netherlands, we don't have Hulu or Prime). Especially how Netflix has all these Anime shows.
If you don't follow the rules then there can be consequences, simple as that.
Or he shouldv used a dummy account or something if it was just for free play not competitive. Otherwise too bad, go play something else or go play outside, read a book😅.
Why not be digital only? Or what they couldv done is an empty box but you can put in multiple cartridges and changeable cover. Then its atleadt good for something😒
@Judal27 i disagree, HappyMaskedGuy can definitely express his opinion, but he obviously wanted to be all elitist like many other haters do on Switch ports and this happens on other consoles too. Even when professional developers are praising these ports they still feel the need to express negativity to state what is by now 'the obvious'.
He could say he prefers the other versions but wishes enjoyments for Switch players but no, negative, negative, negative.
Then why even bother coming to this articles comment section. The downgrades were known months ago. He addresses points in comparison with other versions and not as a standalone version besides the original versions demanding more power the Switch cannot provide considering its form factor to expect higher visuals.
Quarth was justly being 'shady' against HappyMaskedGuy and he deserved to get 'attacked' by other commenters, there isn't a need for negative opinions all the time.
I really starting to think that these PS4 and XB1 3rd party game players are just jealous with the euphory Switch ganers get when these ports are succesfull through performance and sales.
@JaxonH i don't own it but from all the videos ive seen its exactly how you describe it.
Everyone saying its looking bad is in direct comparison with the other versions, but they don't give opinions how it stands on its own as a 'hybrid' version also intended for TV play.
My last consoles were PS2/GC/XboxOG and i come from 3ds now. It looks amazing to me. The PS4/XB1 versions look way better but they SHOULD, they have acces to way more power consumption.
@Dman10 That might not even be a problem. If the infrastructure doesn't change much then they don't really need to port the games and just transfer it to the 'new' eshop.
I dont mind that much, Black Flag seems to be the best one out of those two so atleast that one is on the cartridge.
I wont be dismissing their effort because cartridges are still expensive, its something i can accept, its kinda like a form of DLC.
What i do dismiss is a physical case with a download code. That has no value at all and is only a pure waste of plastic and paper and cost data on your microSD.
@Blizzia I experienced some issues with LA Noire but not that much to diss virtuous as a whole.
It still runs fine enough and if you play games sinds the 90s then there isnt really anything to complain (back then bad optimized games couldn't be patched, but we enjoyed them still).
And otherwise just buy a PS4 or XB1, if these kinda things really bother you.
People really expect to much from technology these days,
Didn't expect much from this on Switch but a lot are complaining about de PS4/XB1 versions too.
People are recommending PES now because nothing has really changed much overal, no matter what engine and i think people just are kinda done with EA and there schemes, lol.
@BenAV it can be noticeable. What i say is 30fps gives more of 'Cinematic effect' while 60fps feels more like watching live TV or those soap opera's like Bold and the Beautifull or As the World turns.
@Swindla i just said i can hardly find the time. That i can take the Switch with me to work is a real benefit but i play a lot less videogames then back then when i was younger in general. Even if i dont have anything to do.
Never mind having a PS4 too, i would love to but its really a waste of money because of time. I also take much more value out of a game now before buying a sequel.
Lol this is nothing new. Many games on PC that didnt came on console too because of power, that happens.
But to be honest not every game needs to come to Switch, and still things that help for the future when we have a Switch 2.
Point still stands that for the Switch brand it can only become better, while stationary consoles will be outdated knowing that Mobile chipsets are developing fast in terms of power.

Re: European Version Of The Rebel Collection Lists Assassin's Creed Rogue As A Download
@Dman10 That might not even be a problem. If the infrastructure doesn't change much then they don't really need to port the games and just transfer it to the 'new' eshop.
Re: European Version Of The Rebel Collection Lists Assassin's Creed Rogue As A Download
Re: Virtuos Only Interested In Offering Switch Players The Best Ports Possible
@Blizzia I experienced some issues with LA Noire but not that much to diss virtuous as a whole.
It still runs fine enough and if you play games sinds the 90s then there isnt really anything to complain (back then bad optimized games couldn't be patched, but we enjoyed them still).
And otherwise just buy a PS4 or XB1, if these kinda things really bother you.
People really expect to much from technology these days,
Re: Review: FIFA 20 - A Shamelessly Cynical Attempt To Swindle Switch-Owning Footy Fans
Didn't expect much from this on Switch but a lot are complaining about de PS4/XB1 versions too.
People are recommending PES now because nothing has really changed much overal, no matter what engine and i think people just are kinda done with EA and there schemes, lol.
Re: Iron Galaxy Helped Bring Overwatch To Switch, Nintendo Version Runs At 30fps
@BenAV it can be noticeable. What i say is 30fps gives more of 'Cinematic effect' while 60fps feels more like watching live TV or those soap opera's like Bold and the Beautifull or As the World turns.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Slaps Down Demands For Nintendo Switch Exclusive Astral Chain On PS4
Re: Hideki Kamiya Slaps Down Demands For Nintendo Switch Exclusive Astral Chain On PS4
@Preposterous its like i hear myself talking.
Really am short on time to play all these games, and still rounding up finishing my 3ds games.
Re: Elder Scrolls Online Director Says The Nintendo Switch Isn't "Powerful Enough" To Run The Game
Re: Astral Chain's Combat Was Possibly Inspired By Pokémon
Can't wait to play but even at release it may take a while. So many games i still need to play.
