I don't think he realises that "this very successful launch isn't quite as successful as the previous hugely successful Nintendo game launch" isn't the dig he thinks it is.
But considering the gibberish he was talking in the UK charts article I'm not surprised.
Link's Awakening was also a highly desired remake sought after for years and Echos is a new title announced just a few months ago.
Also sales possibly affected by people not being happy with the framerate issues that plagued Link's Awakening so holding off on Echo's til Switch 2 arrives.
Nah the Switch Up duo are trustworthy. They have no issue pointing out flaws even in promotional videos and one of their best features is they go back and review patched up games to see if there has been any significant improvement.
Easily the best Switch focused channel on Youtube for me.
It alway gets outsold at the start by the Sony/Xbox versions but over the year sells very strongly on Switch (the PS5/4 and Switch versions usually sell about the same each week).
Nothing bland about it. The game that came packaged with PS5 is still the most next gen experience I have had across both PS5 and Xbox since they launched due to the dual sense implementation alone. And the game was just pure fun.
More of the same but as a full game means it will probably be my game of the year.
I own all the consoles so not interested in any console war nonsense just good games.
I wouldn't have said anything but the very first comment was WiltonRoots seemingly having a dig that the game selling well somehow means it isn't an issue. I agree with WiltonRoots on a lot if stuff but not on being ripped off by Nintendo.
In a world were Metroid Prime Remastered exists at a reasonable price and with seemingly much more effort put into it then it makes LM2HD and DKCRHD, which have both been farmed out by Nintendo to third party devs, all the more brazen.
If you enjoyed the game happy days, but at least you also know it launching as a full price title is taking the mick.
We can all love Nintendo whilst still pointing out their flaws.

Re: Nintendo Slays Switch Emulator Ryujinx
As always with stories like this my view is this:
Use emulators to get new games for free then you are a dirty scumbag thief.
Use emulators to play games you bought legitimately just in a better way for you then fine.
Use emulators to play clasics games not otherwise availabe on modern platforms then also fine.

Suggest you have another look at the chart and see the breakdown of sales and which company has the most first party titles in there.
I count 2 for Sony.

With the broken framerate of that janky engine?
No ta.

Don't see why not, stealth marketing.

Re: Japanese Charts: Switch Dominates As PS5 Price Hike Kills Momentum
Poor Astro Bot deserves much better.
Even factoring in digital sales, 12 thousand sales on a console with a 5 million user base is terrible.
Re: Does Astro Bot's Super Mario 'Inspiration' Cross A Line? Fans Seem Divided
I think that Post Up guy needs to get a life.
What a strange thing to get wound up about.

It has to be or I'm not going near it.
Not starting my digital library all over again. Not a chance.

I just can't see them revealing the Switch successor before Christmas.
They did it with Switch because Wii U was already dead in the water but Switch will still have a good last push this Christmas.
I think Feb reveal, May release.

So that is 33 Series S a week then.

Re: World Of Goo 2 Switch Update Now Live - New Pro Controller Feature, Fixes And More

Surely they would have known people would want the option before release?

Alpha Anthology please.
Superior to the arcade versions on the 30th Anniversary Collection.
Re: Review: SNK Vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos (Switch) - A Great-Looking But Painfully Average Fighter
Seems bit harsh that.
I will probably pick it up just cause I love the look of SNK versions of the SF characters and I want them to release Capcom V SNK 2.

Never once had an issue with my joy con controllers' battery running out. The battery would last all day and charge overnight.
But good for people with multiple pairs.
Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Take Up Eight Of The Top Ten
@DonierGunad
I loved my N64, Gamecube, Wii, 360, PS4 etc but yeah the SNES was something special.
Switch is probably my favourite of all though. And if Switch 2 is backwards compatible (it really REALLY needs to be) then by right it will be.
Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Take Up Eight Of The Top Ten
@rockodoodle
Yep, the Astro Bot games are like first party Nintendo titles on Playstation and there is no higher compliment for developer Team Asobi than that.
Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Take Up Eight Of The Top Ten
@Edu23XWiiU
I strongly suggest you play the PS5 pack in game if you haven't already. Might win you over.

Since Switch.
It alway gets outsold at the start by the Sony/Xbox versions but over the year sells very strongly on Switch (the PS5/4 and Switch versions usually sell about the same each week).
Bodes well for Switch 2 third party support.

Astro Bot for PS5 looks like one of the best looking, fun games to come out this year (and many a year) so Sony may have finally caught on.
Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Take Up Eight Of The Top Ten
Can tell all the kids are off for summer.
Biggest surprise is MK1 selling best on Switch. Rubbish game, rubbish port.

To be fair I didn't.

MK9 has a hell of a lot to live up to.
MK8D is practically perfect in my view.
Good luck devs!

Going to be really disappointing if Nintendo do go back to LCD screen for the Switch 2 at launch. The OLED screen is a thing of beauty.
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Update Now Live (Version 1.0.1), Here Are The Full Patch Notes

In the end it was worth it so I could keep my baddass character in the best wrestling game ever made!
Oh for a HD Remaster of that game...
Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door Update Now Live (Version 1.0.1), Here Are The Full Patch Notes

And in the updated game there was no more blood effect.
Always annoyed me.
