Pokopia is doing very well and is also a game I could not care less about as it is in a genre that bores me to tears. Many people will think the same.

Ridiculous price tag. Not even a 120fps option?

Switch 1 got away with porting all the Wii U games as to the vast majority of people it didn't even exist so the ports were essentially brand new games. These expensive Switch 2 editions of already multi million selling Switch 1 games are starting to leave a sour taste in the mouth.

Nintendo needs a big Direct and soon to keep momentum going.

Horse couldn't be flogged forever.

In Japan PS5 hasn't been a massive hit but pretty much everywhere else it is still King.

Its sales are tracking ahead of PS4 I believe.

Xbox on the other hand.....

Interesting Mario Kart World is nowhere to be seen. Do they not include the sales of the game bundled with Switch 2? Surely that is still considered a physical purchase as it, you know, involves a physical purchase.

Always trusted Nightdive to sort out any issues with the game as their output is usually fantastic.

You and maybe the hundreds of others also not buying it for that reason aren't going to change the direction the industry is going in so all you are doing is missing out on a game for no real reason.

And as Switch 2 games get bigger Nintendo are likely to start using Game Key Cards themselves more often. And the sales of Pokopia just prove that the vast majority of the market don't care about them being on Game Key Cards.

Your two paragraphs contradict each other.

It is the casual market that determines whether a game is a hit or not so why would it make sense for retailers not to get more stock just because it is a game key card?

Just seems to me everyone underestimated how popular the game was going to be.

Well considering Switch 2 has a much smaller userbase than the other consoles in the UK and it still made 4% of the sales for the single game and the Generation Pack came in third, which is all three as Game Key Cards and currently sold out on Amazon UK, I'd say it has much less impact than online discourse would have you believe.

True. But developers do seem to struggle to get the best out of UE5 on Switch 2. Hopefully that will improve over time.

Well you need to be realistic.

DLSS is working miracles on Switch 2. As long as the end result looks good who cares how it got there.

Like complaining Cameron's Titanic movie didn't look amazing because it wasn't the actual Titanic ship in the movie.

Capcom should be leasing out RE Engine rather than everyone using UE5.
