I read it thanks. He said it was fixed then immediately in the next paragraph says there was still incorrect inputs happening.

Trying to then give a flimsy excuse as to why it is a good thing does not make up for that.

Mate stop telling me how I played games growing up as you don't know.

I played on consoles, not arcades, using dpads.

SNES dpad was fantastic, even the N64 dpad was fantastic, the Gamecube dpad was simply too small to be useful, and not just for fighting games.

Did you design it or something? As you seem to be taking exception to this fairly common observation.

Also the "it's for children" angle is incredibly lazy at this point.

The dpad is too small and always was.

Well they should because it would then be code in a box or digital release only for a lot of third party publishers.

Game-Key cards is the most elegant solution to this so they at least retain resale value.

Unfortunately very much the exception rather than the rule these days even with first party titles.

As a fighting game fan if the dpad actually functions correctly them it will be worth it for that alone.

If you are talking Street Fighter 1 that is understandable as it is near unplayable with the controls.

Street Fighter 2 however is incredibly playable and if you can't get past the first fight then yeah not for you lol.

All I can say is I recommend you give Hollow Knight another try and maybe it will click like it did for me and so many others.

Hollow Knight is one of the best games I have played (no one forgets their first time entering the City of Tears). So I have been eagerly awaiting Silksong for years.

Nintendo don't sell their consoles at a loss, have a massive revenue stream from charging for the online service and this is the first true Mario Kart game in over a decade that will easily recoup its cost within a month of being on sale.

So yeah charging over 70 quid for the game is a pisstake.

And I whined over paying 70 quid for Turok back in the day along with many other games. You may recall the N64 was trounced by the Playstation whose games were much cheaper.
