"The true unveiling will blow everything else in the direct out of the water"
Well I hope not because whilst I enjoy Metroid games I don't consider them a system seller.
But I guess it is likely this is just another Metroid fan getting over excited, which is fair enough. But in reality Metroid is one of the smaller Nintendo franchises and Nintendo knows that so won't be betting the house on it.
My only nitpick is I wish they split the ending theme so one track is for putting the master sword back and the other track is just the credits song with the triforce over the mountains. Never realised they were treated as part of the same track.
One of the best things about this gen is seeing so many classic games return.
As a console only gamer I never thought I'd again be able to play the likes of SNES Aladdin, the classic Turtles games, classic Street Fighters, Sunset Riders, the Turok games (playing better than ever) etc.
It is also why backwards compatability is so important so they don't once again get lost to time.
Street Fighter 6. Hope it comes to Switch 2 and also Killer Instinct with crossplay for both. Always good for fighting games to expand the online userbase.
Been playing it solidly for the past month and having a blast.
I remember I couldn't get it for months in Northern Ireland as it was sold out everywhere, even got scammed on ebay trying to get a copy of it. When I finally got it my expectations were ridiculously high but it still managed to surpass them.
The perfect pacing, the action, the hilarious one liners, Leon being both a complete dork and badass at the same time. Simply the best game ever made.
Maybe don't follow up the incredibly sussessful hybrid console which has resulted in unifying all your handheld and home console studios to then split your business again with an experimental home console and a new 3DS type handheld when the majority just want a more powerful backwards compatible Switch.
My prediction it would be a disaster isn't exactly far fetched.
Although the comments after films that are straight up undeniable disasters are always fun where they all try and spin something positive out of the mess.
Regardless of your views on EAFC it bodes well it has been selling so well on Switch as it shows the viability of third party titles leading into Switch 2 next year.
Sony must be disappointed by the bombing of Lego Horizon but by all accounts it is not a "proper" Lego game so they seemingly missed the point.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
@rushiosan
That is all that is in the short video. No guarantee it doesn't drop elsewhere, especially considering that was only the first boss.
It still isn't good enough for a full price Wii remaster.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Donkey Kong Country Returns HD

The video shows it is not a solid 60fps at all.
And has longer load times than the Wii original.
At full price.
Jog on Nintendo.

I just hope there is an option to turn if off as I still game on a plasma TV and will until it dies so no need for upscaling.

Here's one for them: Body Harvest.
Re: Star Fox 64 Finally Barrel Rolls Onto PC Thanks To An Unofficial Port

I may have to finally become a PC gamer if that's the case and Nintendo and others won't provide an alternative.
Re: Star Fox 64 Finally Barrel Rolls Onto PC Thanks To An Unofficial Port
@Toastmaster
That would be amazing, loved that game back in the day!
Re: Star Fox 64 Finally Barrel Rolls Onto PC Thanks To An Unofficial Port
@Toastmaster
Really it is just a pipe dream of mine as I think Nightdive are masters of their craft when it comes to remastering games from that era.
Finally being able to play Turok 2 at 60fps as opposed to 5fps (it really got that bad on N64) is glorious.
Re: Star Fox 64 Finally Barrel Rolls Onto PC Thanks To An Unofficial Port
I will say it again, Nintendo should be on the blower to NightDive Studios and have them give all N64 games their HD remaster treatment.
All the N64 games would benefit massively from improved framerates, HD sheen and widescreen support.

I think the Switch OLED was meant to be the fabled Switch Pro but for whatever reason it just became the OLED (I say just but I love mine).
After what will be 8 years I'm ready for a proper successor.

It better. I'm ready for it.
Re: UK Charts: Nintendo Can Be Proud Of Its Last Christmas Before 'Switch 2'
Good to see Stray in the charts and Switch getting a healthy portion of most of the third party titles on the system. Bodes well for Switch 2.
Re: Random: 'Monkey Kong' On Switch Reminds Us Of Nintendo's '83 Legal Battle

Wave Race 64 is still the best water based racing game ever made!
What I would give for a 60fps HD remaster with HD rumble....
Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Leads The Pack For Nintendo, As Familiar Faces Hold The Podium
@Xenoblade-Fan
Zelda on Swich has become a bit oversaturated (not it alone).
Nintendo needs to diversify a bit more next gen for me.
Star Fox, F Zero, Wave Race, Pilotwings etc.
Let's see that bag of IP fully utilised.
