Don’t move the goal post. You said “non-Sonic” console games and I gave you a list of recent non-Sonic console games.

Sorry if Yakuza, Puyo Puyo, Valkyria Chronicles and Sakura Wars aren’t to your liking. Doesn’t mean that SEGA only makes Sonic games for console. In fact, most of their console games are non-Sonic.

Sony has had more than that this year. They also had FF7 Remake, Dreams and Nioh 2. Plus Yakuza 7 is a (likely) timed exclusive later this year.

To be fair to Nintendo, they also had Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Clubhouse Games and Paper Mario with Bravely Default 2 on the way.

Still, there’s no question that Nintendo is having a disappointing year compared to the competition.

Do you work at SEGA or Atlus? Do you know this for a fact?

What we do know is that SEGA owns Atlus, therefore they have final say. Everything else is unknown.

Is it possible that Atlus presented SEGA with the idea? Sure.

It's also possible that SEGA told Atlus to make a PC port.

Only employees at Atlus or SEGA (which is basically the same thing) know for sure.

Uhh, yes.

SEGA just released a new Sakura Wars game in April. They also licensed out the Streets of Rage series, which also got a new release in April.

Yakuza is getting a new game in 2020.

There's a new Hatsunke Miku game coming to Switch in May.

Vanquish and Bayonetta got a rerelease earlier in 2020.

Puyo Puyo, Valkyria Chronicles and the Shining series all got new releases in 2018.

Are you serious? The arcade industry is a distant shadow of its former self. Sure, there are still some new arcade releases and profitable arcades out there but the arcade scene today is nothing like it was in the 80's and 90's when the hottest new games and cutting edge technology came to arcades first and consoles second.

Arcades are by and large a niche sideshow in the current gaming industry. This wasn't the case in the 90's and pointing it out isn't "biased". It's factual.

It's totally fair to prefer the GBA / DS games over SotN. I just find it a bit ridiculous to rank the top CV games and not have SotN in the conversation. It is so obviously one of the best games in the series, so excluding it makes the overall list feel kinda pointless.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Smash Bros. Ultimate Challenger 5?

Byleth is a good addition, but the timing was way off. As the 5th fighter to close out the first DLC fighter pass, he/she was a major letdown.

If Byleth was the second or third character in the second DLC fighters pass, there wouldn't even be half the backlash we're seeing. People were expecting big things from the final fighter for fighter pass #1 after we got some huge additions like Joker and Banjo.

Maybe school yourself before posting nonsense.

Space Invaders isn't a vertical scrolling game. What a stupid thing to say. There is NO scrolling in Space Invaders. Secondly, it is played from a top-down perspective which is obvious to anyone who looks at it for 2-seconds.

With that said, topdown shmups and vertical scrolling shmups are essentially the same things as both are played from a top down perspective. Said I have to spell this out.

Regarding Space War, it came out in 1978 for the Atari 2600, the same year as Space Invaders and did not have a Japanese release. It's also not really a horizontal shmup and looks more like Asteroids. You're probably referring to Spacewar!, which came out in 1962 and isn't really a horizontal shmup either.

The first real horizontal shmup was Defender, which came out in 1982, several years after early vertical shmups like Space Invaders and Galaxian.

In conclusion, I am right and you are wrong
