Way too expensive. If this is anything like the PlayStation Classic, I expect deep discounts on this after it flops.

@BANJO Yakuza 6 has a full version of Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown (amongst other SEGA arcade games), complete with online play.

Yakuza 5 and Yakuza Kiwami 2 both have full versions of Virtua Fighter 2 with online play.

The Switch is really missing out by not getting Yakuza games.

The Yakuza games contain full Virtua Fighter titles with online play in them. THAT'S how good they are.

The Yakuza series contains Saturn classics. Yakuza Kiwami 2, for example, has full versions of Virtual Fighter 2 and Virtua On in the main game.

The new spinoff game, Judgment, has Fighting Vipers in it.

Yakuza 0 would be fantastic on the Switch. The game has a PS3 version so a port would be technically feasible and the game offers a great, standalone introduction to the series.

Kiryu would also be a fantastic addition to Smash. He's a great mix of violence and comedy that'd fit in well with the rest of the cast.

Shame SEGA's keeping the series of Switch for the time being.

It's too soon for a Link to the Past remake, as it would completely overshadow the upcoming Link's Awakening Remake.

SEGA still makes great stuff. They just showed off footage of a new Sakura Wars game that is coming West and the upcoming Judgment looks awesome.

I do miss SEGA's arcade racing games though. They were some of the best in the business. That said, no one seems to be making AAA arcade racers anymore.

I think it was more anti rental / anti second hand games market than it was anti-piracy.

GX is clearly the best. SEGA did what Nintendidn't; make the best F-Zero game.

Why pick Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero, a level-based platformer over Shantae and the Pirate's Curse, an actual Metroidvania?

My outlandish wish is for the game to allow for the creation of 3D levels in the same style of Super Mario 3D World.

There seems to be a typo in the press release, as they mention three masterpieces. It should read "two masterpieces and RE Zero".

What a terrible poll. The Mega Drive / Genesis mini should absolutely have ALL of the games in the poll options. SEGA's been releasing Genesis compilation games for YEARS that have multiple Sonics, Shining Forces, etc. Hell even the terrible Atgames mini consoles have multiple games per franchise.

No need to balance the game? They literally just released a balance patch. Expect more in the future.

This pretty much reconfirms Bayonetta 3 for 2019.

Nintendo is looking to bring in some top talent to improve and grow their online service by giving the fans more of what the want.

Nintendo's leadership in Japan is upset that Nintendo Switch's paid online is undersubscribed. They're looking to hire a salesman to try to push the service, more or less as-is.

Interesting how the Switch Online service features most, but not all, of the games on the NES and SNES Classic mini consoles (assuming this leak is true).

Nintendo's being pretty stubborn pushing 3DS support into 2019. I'm not at all surprised to see major titles underperforming. Most everyone seems to be done with their 3DS as this point.

They should have stopped support after 2017, with Metroid Samus Returns and Pokemon Ultra Sun / Moon as the system's swan song(s).

These mini consoles went from impossible to find to languishing on store shelves. Looks like Nintendo struggled to find the right amount to manufacture / ship. It's a similar situation to amiibo. I imagine scalpers will want to scoop these up fast after today's news. The consoles will probably be worth quite a bit in a few years.

Bingo! He didn't deny a 2019 revision at all. He basically said that his focus was on selling the current Switch for the current holiday season. That's it. This article's headline is VERY misleading.

Overcooked 2 winning Family Game of the Year is hardly a victory for Nintendo. It basically beat out most of Nintendo's 2018 exclusives for that honour.

This was a horrible showing for Nintendo at the Game Awards.

Persona 5 runs just fine on PS3. It is basically a PS3 game and was intended for PS3 for most of its development. A Switch version seems fairly likely.

People with much more knowledge of the situation than you or I decided to ban him and strip him of all records. They didn't do this because he was totally innocent pal. Proving he can get a high score doesn't take responsibility for anything. That makes zero sense. How does his proof of a high score take responsibility for him playing on MAME and lying about it?

By your logic, a car thief can take responsibility for his car theft by proving he has enough money to buy the car.

@goggles789 That's not what I said. I said him getting a high score does nothing to address what he's accused of. If he addresses what he's accused of and takes responsibility for it, then I would personally not have a problem with giving him a second chance.

Billy Michell's talent was never in question. Even his most vocal critics can acknowledge that he's a great player. My response to this recent great score is "so what?". We know he's great at Donkey Kong. Always has been. This does nothing to address the shady things he's been accused of.

My comment was facetious. There's no way the entire NES library will come to the Switch. There's way too many licensed titles, not to mention a bunch of weird games no one cares about (Wall Street Kid anyone?).

People saying "no physical no buy" are being a bit ridiculous here. It sucks that Team Cherry couldn't make it happen with Skybound, but these things happen.

What people need to remember is that Team Cherry is a 3-person team. It's unreasonable to demand a 3-person team release their game physically. This isn't a big company like Capcom or SEGA choosing to release, say, Phoenix Wright digital-only. This is a very small company, so a digital-only release is perfectly understandable and reasonable.

Where's Snake and Simon Belmont? Those are the 2 I'm looking forward to the most.

I've been playing fighting games online for around 10 years with wireless connections. I have no plans to use a wired connection for Smash Ultimate unless the experience really sucks (which would doubly suck, since I'm paying for the privilege)

Is Piranha Plant one of the 5 DLC characters? This wasn't really clear.

Anyone else hoping for a physical AGES collection?

They have their work cut out for them if they want to surpass the iOS version of Sonic 2 which has:

-16:9 widescreen
-Playable Knuckles
-Hidden Palace Zone

Was there not enough room for all of the games in the PS4 and Xbone version so they just cut the last 2 games alphabetically? Because there's a lot of games I would have cut before the Wonder Boy ones.

Appreciate the clarification! Unfortunately, the original article was not clear. In fact, the article suggests that it is a list of the Top 10 best selling Switch games, period, when fact it is only a list of first party games.

Is this the top selling first party games list or the top selling list overall?

Because if it is the overall list, that's gotta be concerning for third party developers. Not even a single third party game in the Top 10? You'd think Mario + Rabbids at least would have made the list.

Skyrim, a 7 year old game, released on the Switch for $60 digitally.

Dark Souls, another 7 year old game, just came out at $40 for the Switch digitally.

South Park Stick of Truth, a 4-year old last gen port, got a $30 digital-only release for the Switch.

$20 for Valkyria Chronicles is absolutely a good deal by industry standards anyway you slice it.
