Skyrim portable will be cool until we remember its not that good of a game and we all played it 5 years ago, lol. Also probably no mod support, vanilla Skyrim is duuuullllll
I don't care too much about portable gaming, so I'm not that excited. Though I like the name more than most people apparently, Switch has a nice ring to it
Good to know there's something redeemable about this game. I'll give it a shot eventually if I find it cheap or if a bud actually buys it and I can borrow
Zero was the worst game I've played all year, it's actually impressive they somehow managed to make a game in the series worse than Command. Poor Platinum keeps getting shafted and has been putting out weak stuff like this and that TMNT game from a few months ago. They're one of my favorite developers, hope they can pick themselves back up and start making good games again.
@UberMadman Yeah I did, imo it was disappointing, just barely better than Gates. Super had an awful paced story, ugly 3D models with stiff animations and no good loot to find while dungeon crawling. Hardly any items felt worth picking up in the game. The emera system was interesting but making the buffs only temporary really hurt the progression that IQ and gummis provided. Vitamins made your character broken so the emera buffs didn't matter anyway.
Also no shinx starter 0/10 literally unplayable game
I don't know why people are upset about the iOS Mario. It's not like Nintendo's never released a generic cookie-cutter 2D Mario platformer before. Having one more isn't going to hurt.
Mostly just ports, DLC and amiibo so lol who cares. Best news was the Animal Crossing stuff, new update looks cool and the mini direct coming will hopefully bring something good.
The gameplay never looked offensively bad, just kind of bland so I can see some people getting a kick out of this. I don't know why anyone would want to play a co-op shooter on a tiny underpowered handheld, but there it is. I still think there's hope that Nintendo will return to the original style of Metroid and we'll get a game that the fans actually want. The series isn't dead until they make it clear they want this to be the new direction of Metroid.
Or if they just stop making Metroid games. I guess that could happen too.
This game would been pretty cool if there weren't hugely superior alternatives out there, even the throwaway Overwatch soccer minigame they added this month completely outclasses it. I feel like the co-op shooter part of Federation Force will end up the same. The whole package just seems like the wrong game at the wrong time.
man this is so sick, I always wanted to flip through the early issues. It's so much fun to see how all of these ancient games were promoted back in the day.
Edit: LOL NOPE C&D NO FUN ALLOWED GOTTA PROTECT THOSE CRUCIAL IPS
The 4v4 format has been done casually before and it is definitely too chaotic and unfocused to be taken seriously. It's also much less interesting to watch than it sounds. 2v2 is already overshadowed in popularity by 1v1 fights, adding more players at a time won't change that. If you want to put together large teams for competitive smash then you do crew battles.
I haven't been satisfied with my Wii U since 2014. Smash and Bayonetta were the last games I bought that I'd consider great. Everything after has been disappointing in some way, and there's still the wasteland of nothing good coming out for the rest of the year. It's a damn shame
Just say it, having a score gets you on metacritic and gets you more clicks. People like scores and NL likes ad revenue. (People also like 9/10s and hearing what they want to hear btw)
That pillar of profit is only going to get bigger once they see how much easy money they get from mobile stuff like Pokemon Go. I'm worried they see where the casual audience went to after the Wii, and they start spending all of their resources on that. Or maybe not. Slippery slopes, I guess.
Still no details on what the NX even is, and mobile is a known dumping ground for half-assed games, something nintendo has proven they aren't above. Hoping for the best but I really don't like the direction they're going
This is a strange situation for a company to be in, and its interesting to see how each company reacts. When the fan made upgrade to Half Life 1 called Black Mesa was released, it could've been instantly canned by Valve. Fortunately that had a better ending than any of these copyright takedowns from Nintendo.
I dunno, maybe there's some ancient contract from like 1986 that says Nintendo has to be lame and toss out C&Ds all over the place. As a consumer though it sucks, no one should be happy over this. That's basically the same as saying "yay, less stuff."

My favorite DS game, way better than the 3DS titles in the series. Wish PMD could go back to being this good again.

Re: A Samus Costume Was Almost in the Wii U Axiom Verge Port
I already have this game on steam but I would totally would drop another $15 just to get the samus costume on Wii U.
Nintendo let up on their precious copyright to throw Minecraft a few mario skins. Metroid isn't so lucky as usual I guess.
