Great game, one od the reasons why I got Switch in the first place. Still has the highest number of hours on my game list, with Ring Fit in second place.

Never buy consoles on launch. Unless you desperately need to play new FIFA or a bag of rice.

I'm more of a Cha-Cha and Kayamba guy, so I'm still not falling for that.

@gaga64 Pokemon games/generations were never designed with certain Nintendo systems in mind. In fact, Gamefreak is notorious for releasing new Pokemon games for "old" systems. They begrudgingly move to the new one way after the console's release and may add some features utilizing that platform's quirks if they feel like it at the time. This unwillingness to closely cooperate with Nintendo while designing their games is actually one of the reasons why the difference in graphics between Pokemon and other Nintendo titles is growing bigger and bigger.

Glad to see more people realizing these are mediocre products not worth the price tag. Shame it's a year too late and people who saw it coming were called trolls and haters. But the saddest part is that this is the standard for Pokemon games now and they have no reason to get any better in the hands of Gamefreak.

Oh man, that's terrible news. Maybe Nintendo should buy Level-5? I think they could work pretty well on Nintendo IPs and at the same time their original IPs would be a good addition to the Nintendo family...

@nocdaes It's the result of multiple players knocking out Lakitus in their levels while choosing to target attackers. First player beats a Lakitu and sends one to four players each, then each of them does the same (further multiplying by 4) and after a few back and forths like that people have screens full of Lakitu.
More experienced players choosing to add levels with Lakitu to the level pool is a huge factor as well.

It would happen sooner or later anyway, these features must have cut in some way into Niantic's profits, after all.

Charming. I think it's mostly that nostalgia magic, memories of our past journeys and expectations for the future ones that actually keep people playing Pokemon games. Because it's certainly not quality of the actual products nowadays.

I've just 100%ed Super Mario 64 in 3D All Stars. I get now why people consider it a classic and have to admit the game was amazing for its time, but I wouldn't say it has aged all that well if you haven't experienced it way back then. Some design elements and ideas were improved in everything that followed in its footsteps, or even dropped altogether, for a good reason.
Will continue with Sunshine soon, but have only moderate expectations.

Basically no Transformers fan wants this game, lack of playable Decepticons is just one of many reasons. It's going to do terrible and there will be no TF games ever again.

Nice. I've been telling people about this game for a while, but eventually you grow tired of ignorant people calling everything Pokemon clones. So glad to see them being wrong about the franchise not having any chance to see a sequel. Hopefully more people will realise it's a better game than the last few generations of pocket monsters.
It's a bit of a shame we didn't get the story expansion for the 3DS version, though.

Monster Hunter Stories was better than the last 3 generations of Pokemon games, so that's great news.

@jwfurness It's a bit of an overrated title, imo. The player doesn't have that much control over what's happening and too much depends on luck of the draw. It's a nice change of pace if one is not interested in fantasy or other themes typical for games, but I'm a bit confused where all the praise comes from.

I'll probably watch this (not yet released in my country) solely for Jim Carrey and the movie being a rival to Detective Pikachu.

I chuckled at the part where Astral Chain and Let's Go were presented as the same case. Astral Chain was review bombed by console warriors, while Switch Pokemon games were bombed with undeserved 10s.

Persona is just watered down SMT for teenagers anyway. Ports of older SMT titles and other series would be nice, but first deliver SMTV.

@BenAV I see your point. I'd have skipped it entirely if Spyro wasn't one of my favourite PS games, but I managed to get it digitally for ~25 AUD (65 PLN), which is quite a bargain.

@BenAV While I vastly prefer physical versions, in this case it still means downloading 2/3 of the package, so getting it fully digital is more convenient.

You get the XBC2 DLC with a standalone (stellar, by the way) game.

As usual, Nintendolife focuses on the "Zelda" part of the announcement/update, even though the seasoned level makers probably won't be using the Master Sword power-up outside of a novelty level or two. I see P-blocks, Spikes and frozen coins becoming a staple of future top-tier levels.

The Japanese fans less than thrilled with Sword & Shield apparently coined a phrase "grass half year" to express their disappointment and amusement in relation to Gamefreak's ineptitude at coding their own game. I think it applies here, whether or not these games actually cause any harm to people's consoles.

@retro_player_22 Using your pet analogy, Sword & Shield is a new apartment, where you are allowed to keep snakes, spiders, cockroaches, fish, certain breeds of dogs and cats, but not your specific pet, which is very much alive, for some arbitrary reason.

Why make a good game when you can just release incomplete products for your fans to finish? It appears that Gamefreak has learned a thing or two from Bethesda.

Good, this ought to make all the haters shut up, especially since they definitely did not see it coming. Things selling well is an undeniable proof of quality, after all.
Shame Pokemon lost to even greater game series, like FIFA and Call of Duty.

An anonymous poll could be held among people living in your town to decide whether your house should be demolished in order to build a swimming pool for everyone to enjoy for free. @princezorldo Not everyone has time to follow these news so closely, but everyone has right to be properly informed about a product. I can easily see people being misled by this trailer and can only feel disappointed more people don't see the issue here.
