Re: Review: Pokémon Brilliant Diamond And Shining Pearl - A Middling Pair Of Remakes

Preposterous

@Anti-Matter As someone who have played both the original Pokemon DP and Yokai Watch 1-3, I'll tell you that these systems aren't even remotely comparable (team fights vs 1v1). You couldn't really break YW and get your team super overleveled until later stages of these games, but in Pokemon shared EXP results in a snowball effect where the beginning will be easy and anything beyond the mid-point will be auto-win.

Re: First Impressions: For Better Or Worse, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Look Like Extremely Safe Remakes

Preposterous

Lacking features of the 3rd version of the original games from all those years ago and adopting an artstyle reminiscent of mobile apps should automatically disqualify this from having a full Switch game price point, but D&P on DS were first Pokemon games for a ton of people, so I understand that the fanbase driven by nostalgia will eat this up and ask for seconds.

Re: Super Mario 64 LEGO '?' Block Revealed, Out In October

Preposterous

How to sell a small set of dioramas for $170? Add a huge buildable container that doesn't add anything beyond being a cute gimmick.

Either LEGO is really bad at tailoring sets for adult collectors or they're offering incredibly overpriced sets on purpose to see what will stick.

Re: Fitness Boxing Is Getting An Anime Series In Japan

Preposterous

Well, there's that infamous anime called "Training with Hinako" and I think recently there was some series about girls hitting gym, so Fitness Boxing receiving an anime adaptation doesn't surprise me all that much.
Also, nowadays so many series have simulcast I'm sure this will be picked up as well, if only for the novelty factor.

Re: Review: Pokemon Unite - Pokémon Divides In Free-To-Start MOBA

Preposterous

It's one hell of a start for a F2P title when pretty much everyone agrees spending money gives you a noticeable advantage. You're supposed to lure in players with generous rewards for playing regularly and then slowly introduce more and more items/mechanics/etc. so free players will begin to struggle and feel more inclined to open up their wallets.
I can already tell that despite desperate efforts of some content creators, Unite won't have a lasting presence.

Re: Netflix Is Reportedly Working On A Live-Action Pokémon Series

Preposterous

@Xeacons Is that so? Setting aside the fact that Netflix itself doesn't really produce anything, I'd say that Transformers is far from ruined despite the mediocre WfC Series and Godzilla S. P. is easily the best anime the franchise ever had. But I guess Pokemon has to be a pretty weak IP if Netflix will ruin it just like that.
