Nintendo has given upcoming Switch exclusive Kirby and the Forgotten Land a confirmed release date, with our favourite pink puffball arriving on the eShop and at retail on 25th March.
Initially revealed back in September, Kirby and the Forgotten Land has players joining Kirby on a brand new 3D platforming adventure, with new locations, new abilities and more to discover. A new trailer has been released to celebrate the launch date announcement (up above), and we've got even more details for you below, too:
Kirby has a flair for inhaling air, so he’ll have his work cut out for him when he arrives in an unknown land and discovers that Waddle Dees are being kidnapped in droves by the Beast Pack! To rescue the Waddle Dees, Kirby heads out on a journey with the curious Elfilin, whom he meets in the new world.
In this sweeping adventure, you’ll make use of a range of Kirby’s abilities to combat foes and navigate vibrant 3D environments. Progress through a world in which nature and a past civilization have fused in a series of areas packed with platforming challenges. When you set out to free the Waddle Dees being held captive at the goal point at the end of each stage, you’ll want to explore every nook and cranny to rescue as many Waddle Dees along the way, too!
Did someone say new abilities?
The Beast Pack will put up a challenge, so along with Kirby’s iconic copy abilities there are new additions to Kirby’s repertoire – the Drill and Ranger copy abilities! Submerge into the ground with the Drill copy ability and attack enemies from below with a massive blow. Your foes will soon be seeing stars when Kirby unleashes the Ranger copy ability, which also lets you set your sights on a faraway enemy.

It's also been confirmed that the game will support local co-op play (with a second player joining the journey as Bandana Waddle Dee, who'll be able to launch a variety of attacks using his spear) and it will feature a central hub called Waddle Dee Town – a place which will develop more and more based on the number of Waddle Dees you rescue.
Excited for this one? Let us know if you'll be picking up a copy in March with a comment below.

Okay, so I did see new abilities in that trailer. This looks great and it's coming soon!
Woo hoo! I'm curious to see if it have as much dlc as the last Kirby game and that was all for free.
That's surprisingly soon. It's been a long time since I've been excited for a new Kirby game but this one is looking great.
Early 2022 line up is looking nice! Should be a good year.
Also wow that is one very pretty looking trailer. Love the artstyle. Never understand why people rag on Nintendo for graphics. Their games are quite lovely to look at.
Can't wait to finally get a Kirby game on the Switch!
Kirby Star Allies who?
set in hyrule confirmed
Comment pending while I go and change my underwear
Sooner than I expected. Day 1, it looks good and I always liked Kirby games.
Looking like a must buy purchase and not long to wait
Yay, actual news from Nintendo!
This looks fantastic!
Hail to the puff! Interesting that the Waddle Dees seem to be allies. I wonder if the Waddle Doos are still with the bad guys?
This looks like it might actually slap. 2022 is shaping up to be year of the open world.
Looks so nice.
It's seemingly fairly linear level design, a la Super Mario 3D World, which I don't mind at all, but the day they put Kirby into a more open world setting is the day I say goodbye to underwear forever. Just imagining Kirby exploring underwater like the beach level in Mario Odyssey gets me all... squiffy.
My thoughts on the trailer:
Nice that we have playable Bandana Waddle Dee in 3D and a confirmation that Meta Knight is in, too. My guess is King Dedede will be there as well.
So Kirby Cafe is officially canon now? Or it was already? Sorry, haven't played Star Allies to completion yet.
I know I'm asking for too much, but I hope more playable characters are there.
Overall, I haven't played a Kirby since Triple Deluxe so I'm very much looking forward to getting this. March can't come soon enough.
Looks like the best Kirby game I’ve seen.
Day one for me, 3d exploration and adventure.
Ive been playing a few of the older kirby games recently so this one dropping soon is great, looking forward to it!
Literally what I've been asking for so long. I can't wait!
It looked okay at first and then like the last 20 seconds or so when they showed the crazy detailed level elements like the archway and desert took it to another level for me. Can’t wait
It looks like Mario 3D World but with Kirby
It looks great - I just hope there's a 'hard' mode. I'm not often engaged by Kirby games because it feels like you're able to just walk through the levels without too much hassle (fun for a while, but gets old quickly).
I was already sold on the game, but now, I think I'll buy 12 copies.
Edit: I just realized they took the "Kirby with a Gun" memes and turned it into an ability with Ranger. I'll buy 13 copies!
Nice! I think I'm sold at this point
OK, so it's a linear platformer.
Definitely looks better than Star Allies, although nothing is setting my heart on fire yet.
Kirby releasing in March all but confirms BotW 2 won't release early this year.
It looks great. Funny how Waddle Dees were defeated en masse in previous games, yet now Kirby is supposed to help them. How things have changed.
Also, nice to see Meta Knight confirmed. Wonder also what King Dedede is up to this time.
I wasn’t really interested initially, as I’m not a huge Kirby fan, but this trailer has nearly convinced to get it!
@gcunit Control yourself. Here's a towel.
This game looks freaking good!
Looks good to me, I do love a 3D platformer
As they released this trailer, that means there will not be a Direct this month
This trailer is mega hype.
The game looks unbelievably good. This is officially the first Kirby game that has me legitimately excited for its release.
Whoa! This looks soooo good! Kirby is at his best when the stakes are high, there's a big adventure and lots of FUN! And 2-player co-op confirmed? Looks awesome.
Ya i'm sold on it already LOL.
I hope and This is a big hope. Side missions, probably not going to happen, but side missions where you need to beat a level with in a amount of time, or get pass the level with this scored or this many enemy's killed.
But this game, Damn does it look fine!
God I'm emotional. I've been a fan since the first game and the journey here for fans has been anticipated.
@Oish there's always hard post game content. I'm sure there will be something
Yes! This looks really good.
Here's hoping it puts up a bit of a fight: I love Kirby but the games tend to be a walk in the park.
Is it March yet?! I need to preorder this game ASAP! I can’t wait for this game.
March 25th is now Kirby Christmas. I’ll start counting the sleeps
If it turns out as excellent as it looks, this game will be a critical and commercial success for sure. Super stoked
This obviously isn't going to happen in this game but man, I miss the feature from Kirby 64 that let you combine copy abilities. I wish they'd make a game that does that again.
This game, though - man I am excited. More excited than I've been for a Kirby game since Kirby Epic Yarn, and even that I was just excited to look at cute stuff. This I'm actually excited to play. I'm looking forward to seeing how all the copy abilities translate to 3D.
@Kirby_Girl
i remember Adventure having hard mode ng+, but I sort of resent having to play all the way through baby mode for a challenge. It really doesn't make sense, why shouldn't i get appropriate challenge AND a fresh experience? Not bragging, but I felt this way as a small child, KA was one of the first games I ever beat on my own. I never went back and beat it on hard mode either.
BTW I've been playing since Dreamland, too, and I must say this is the most excited I've been for Kirby since Superstar! 🥰
Fantastic news. Day 1
I'll wait for reviews but damn if this doesn't look fantastic
The way the game looks proves we don't NEED a "switch pro".
That's a Day One purchase for sure.
No direct till march then. Game looks good though
Note to anyone who want this game, this is a 3D Kirby game, not a Kirby open world game. There's nothing open world about any of this.
NOOOOOooooo that's too soon! The traditional Holiday-Sale-Spending-Spree tells me my backlog isn't ready for this game yet.
@Magician what do those things have to do with each other
Wow this game looks freaking awesome! The amount of polish this trailer has compared to the first trailer a few months ago is mind blowing, development must be going very well. So excited, Kirby coming at ya!
BEST SELLING HIGHEST RATING KIRBY GAME EVER HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOO
(Excuse my hype)
Okay, now I'm interested.
That looks sooooo adorable. I'm almost sad that it is releasing in March, only because March is looking so stacked for me, with Triangle Strategy, Rune Factory 5, The Cruel King and Great Hero, plus Atelier Sophie releasing very late February.
This year I'm trying to only buy retail releases that I have time to play in that moment. I'll have to make some hard decisions.
@Ralizah what does it take? Honest question.
Looks incredible.
Hope it not only looks the part, but we are talking Nintendo, so I'm quite optimistic
Wow, it looks fantastic! It´s definitely a Mario 3D World type of game, not too open, but that´s better for me XD. It looks so much fun! And with coop, nice.
What a month of March, btw! Triangle Strategy, Kirby, Chocobo GP and Rune Factory 5. Four big exclusive games within a month! Unbelievable. Nice way to celebrate Switch´s fifth anniversary!
@Specter_of-the_OLED Yes, it´s not a open world. And that´s perfectly fine!
Looks a lot of fun (3D World came to mind) and March is insanely packed. I do wish this was part of a Direct though.
Nice! Me and my son will be amped to play this. Just stinks we have triangle strategy a few weeks prior. I'll be sinking a ton of time into that game.
Looks incredible. Day one.
Photo mode please
Looks miles better and more fun than Pokémon Legends
This has really sold me on the game. The hub area with mini games and gatchapon looks great.
This is what I’m talking about!
And to all those who say that Pokémon Arceus looks the way it does because “the Switch has weak hardware”, I present you with Kirby in 2022…
@-wc- God
Kirby Superstar is my fave! Great and impressive game for its time.
Yeah, I mean I'm someone who beat Sekiro two times recently so I love challenge but I still always loved Kirby games. The True arenas are always super fun and the recent ones were super awesome and challenging. Still haven't been able to single run soul melter ex but I understand that ppl want something at the start of the game to play. Unfortunately Kirby is an entry level series and prioritizes that but I've always still enjoyed running the games in various ways and as a joyful palette cleanser between more brutal stuff. We don't know yet about other modes in the game so I guess we should just be on the look out.
This looks adorable. The original trailer had me on the fence, but now I’m definitely getting it!
I hope this will have online. Me and my friend had a blast completing Super Mario 3D World twice—once for each save file—but I can't ask him to play this on the couch with me, since he lives in another state.
I'm looking forward to this one now for sure.
Nothing groundbreaking, but at the very least looks like a fun time.
This looks amazing!! This trailer took away most of my fears about the density of the game, and local co-op in a 3D platformer is one of my favorite things. Rapidly moving to a day-one purchase for me, even with the disappointment of Star Allies.
@Magician Right. No stealth March 3rd release of BOTW 2, as some had predicted/hoped.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land look amazing, can't wait to finaly play this amazing game in my extended battery Switch, this game look more open then i imagined, i imagined Kirby and the Forgotten Land would play simiraly to Super Mario 3D World.
Is a 3D Yoshi game next?
Most likely an insta-buy as the household and I are admirers of the Kirbster. I always find Kirby games to be of good quality but this looks a whole lot of special in a different way. Amongst our most anticiapted upcoming games
@Ryu_Niiyama areed, this looks fantastic!
Looking gooooood!
Wish they'd put this much effort in other Nintendo characters.
I might just have to pick this up. Rumors about a 3D Kirby game have circulated since the Gamecube days. It's a trip to see it finally happen, and it looks pretty solid.
Looks very delightful. Adding it my play down the road list.
this looks lovely
@Ryu_Niiyama and they don’t get dated so that 10 years from now, it will still look great.
Day 1 purchase for me. I do hope it has some kind of co-op…
Looks very, very good.
@Donutman
Local co-op was just confirmed.
@MegaVel91 Something more thematically ambitious than what we're getting, which seems like standard Kirby with 3D World-esque level design.
For a series known for often wild experimentation where individual entries forge their own identity, this looks a bit on the safe side.
Of course, it all comes down to execution. And, like I said, still a massive improvement on Star Allies, so I'm down.
@Grumblevolcano Certainly puts a damper on ND expectations. 😥 My guess is they needed to put this out there for pre-orders but the rest of the ND wasn't ready yet. Really wish it was in 1 though, would have made a great ending w/ that soonish release date. Also I would have watched it on my 75" tv, not my 6" phone on twitter.😝 I also feel like it's too soon, I was really excited for Chocobo GP but I don't have the time to play both at once. Will likely pick up Kirby Day 1 as Chocobo will be half price in 3 months, especially now as I do think Kirby could overshadow it a bit. Nintendo is going to need to show something awesome AND date BotW2 and Slpatoon 3 in their next Direct f they felt they could leave this out. Once again setting us all up for disappointment.😂
@JaxonH OK, you can ignore all of my tweet questions now.😉
It looks so fun, I sure hope it plays as good as it looks. Could be one of the best Switch games next to the big games like BOTW and Odyssey.
Is that a cooking mini game?! Do I spot Kirby Cafe burgers?? This game has a shocking amount of production value! The hub world looks so cozy, and the way you fly around to your level selection is just perfect! This has become a must-play for any 3D platformer fans! Plus co-op!! I wonder if the internet feature they teased will also include online co-op, which would be incredible!
@HammerGalladeBro since Triple Deluxe? So you skipped Planet Robobot?! I really recommend to play it, I think it's one of the best (while graphics and animations are the same as Triple, it makes everything to feel way differently, and better... and Triple Deluxe was already great!
@Ninchiku But Kirby needed this. Kirby needed this so bad. The series had been stagnant for a very long time.
IMHO it looks better than Super Mario Odyssey
Got real Sonic Adventure vibes from the music.
@rjejr I'm leaning towards a Direct Mini around March (similar kind of setup to the March 2020 one) which gives a release date for Advance Wars, announces a few unannounced ports/remasters/remakes (maybe also Mario Party DLC) and a load of 3rd party stuff, gives more info on Kirby and closes with Splatoon 3. Then E3 ends up being massive with new hardware reveal.
Looks fantastic.
This game looks really good and I'm pleasantly surprised it's releasing in two months. My son and I will have a blast playing this.
2022 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for the Nintendo Switch.
Just saw the trailer. And yeah this is gonna be good.😎
P.S does anyone know if any other Kirby characters are gonna be in? It’s would stink for them to reintroduce so many characters in star allies then stop using them again.
And I don’t mean bandana dee and meta knight.
I’m talking about adeleine ribbon and gooey.
Oh and don’t forget the mage sisters!
GUN KIRBY IS REAL THIS IS THE GREATEST DAY OF MY LIFE!
Also, wow. This game looks proper job banging. The new abilities coupled with the reworked old abilities look awesome, Waddle Dee's as collectables (at least I assume so) is a great idea, especially how they come together to liven up the new expanded hub world and it actually looks wonderfully varied and vibrant now when before, it was just Last of Us but Kirbified. I'm already planning on getting ACNH in March so in other words, my wallet is crying right now.
@SilverM Yeah, I missed on Planet Robobot because I got my first 3DS around the time the Switch was released. By that time I couldn't find Planet Robobot in stores, both new and used. But Triple Deluxe was still very available, though.
I want to get it physically, but ever since almost its launch in 2016 I haven't seen any copies. Same deal with Metroid: Samus Returns, which I also want to play.
Okay, this is much better. The first trailer had me concerned that the levels were empty and had nothing to do, but I'm not seeing that in this trailer. They look decently satisfying and they even showed off a few sidequests/minigames. I'm officially on the hype train.
Okay, NOW I'm hyped. I know I was pessimistic with this game prior, but this trailer was good enough to get me on board and showed me more than enough to know that this game isn't just "Kirby in 3D". THIS should've been the reveal trailer.
@HotGoomba Star Allies is criminally underrated.
Wooo! That's so freakin' soon! I know people are already comparing this year to 2017; if we get a big first-party release almost every month again, that's be awesome. I don't think we have anything in February though, as far as I know.
Weird we got a new Kirby trailer and the Assassin's Creed announcement yesterday. Seems like the kind of news that should be in a Nintendo Direct. Makes me think we might not be getting one soon...
@Grumblevolcano "new hardware reveal"
Wow you actually said the quiet part out loud. I knew some other people must have been thinking it but I didn't think anyone but me was crazy enough to say it.😉
If we're only getting a mini in March that's kind of disappointing. I'd like a full Direct just for dates for the games we know about due this year plus the other stuff. Though if Nintendo wants to just keep dropping trailers I suppose that's cool too.
You think we get a Pokemon Direct for Arceus or those half dozen long trailers cover enough?
There really are an insane amount of big games that should release this year. Should for BotW2 and Bayonetta 3. PS5 is looking good too if GoW2 makes it. I still haven't played TLoU2 so a 4k version would be nice. And GTAV. I have to play that some day I suppose. 🤷
So, new hardware, Switch 2, Switch Pro or something only Nintendo would do? I'm leaning towards something blurring the lines like "New 3DS" where it's considered this gen but then it gets a bunch of exclusives like a next gen console anyway. 😝 "Super Switch" sounds like a this gen "Pro" but I've never heard anyone say "Super NES" is the same gen as NES so that could work. 🤷 PS5 is a "New PS4 Pro" if ever there was 1, 90% ports and dual releases plus Deathloop and R&C. A couple of years from now it may be "next gen", after HFW, GoW2 and Grab Turismo, but that many dual releases PLUS b/c, it's pretty much just a Pro w/ an SSD for it's first 3 years on the market.
So a Super Switch that plays Switch carts, takes our SD cards, but outputs to tv in 4k. If Nintendo calls it Switch 4K I'll be laughing for weeks. MK8DX4K 😂 Better not be Switch U though. 😉
BTW I could see E3 being about games and Super Switch, whatever it is, in September. What's your ETA for launch, March or September 2023? March 2024 has to be the latest I'd think.
Looks fantastic!
I really enjoy Kirby - Planet Robobot remains a personal favorite with its fun puzzle solving elements and robot suits.
I've enjoyed the co-op on the Wii & Switch, but 3D just looks fabulous!
Super-stoked!
@IronMan30 dude this looks amazing. I should buy this eventually.
AND DID I SEE META KNIGHT IN THERE????
@k4mik4z3 damn that’s true. Graphics looks beautiful in Kirby unlike Arceus
@Ryu_Niiyama ikr. It looks awesome
I'm actually a bit disappointed that this is "just" a traditional Kirby with 3D movement. I think that Kirby what would work well as an Open-World game with RPG elements.
Pay attention Sega, this is how you transition your mascot platformer to 3D.
Looks great and can't wait.
I don't play Kirby games and I'm picking this up day 1
@Harmonie I agree, the wii had some impressive Kirby games I thought.
@alasdair91 weak? People are so picky and ocd about graphics and performance. When I played DQ XI S on the Switch. I was blown away at what they fit on that little cartridge. I'll never complain about a systems performance. Although even as a kid I thought the 2600 wasn't very good. I also thought the nes wasn't either. The master system was all over the nes. But I digress.
@Kirby_Girl
indeed, Kirby is one of my dearest series, and ive always enjoyed the games despite the easy difficulty. 😊
i did have a hell of a time beating the sun and moon, the storm cloud guy (forgive me, i have forgotten the names,) and the true final boss back in the day so its not like it was a total cake walk.
and the music! Adventure still has some of the best music of all time, imo.
nice talking with you, check back in when the new one is out! 😊
This looks really good - looking forward to it and will pick up day one.
I hope we see more Nintendo franchises getting the 3D action/platformer treatment too.
@Joe-b
The switch is the most powerful handheld system ever made, and the first ever true console experience on a handheld. It is a miracle. Yet tons of people are lined up to nitpick and trash it. It's very odd.
(caveat: im sure there are edge cases of more powerful handheld machines out there, but YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN AND IM NOT WRONG before you even point that out. ty.)
What a smooth transition to 3D.
@rjejr I could see a Pokemon Presents happen given it feels we still don't really know much about Legends Arceus and the BDSP update timing (the one that's adding online features) is still unknown. As for the hardware launch, I think it'll be whenever BotW 2 launches.
Looks really good tbh, and yet another game going for the BoTW aspect for nintendo, that's pokemon, SMT, Sonic and Kirby.
February and March are looking stacked for me (ps5/switch)
@Kirby_Girl Huh, never took you as a particular Kirby fan
Lord Morpho is coming...
Wow, looks great. Getting some major 3D World vibes from this, new abilities look fun.
this year is shaping up to be the new 2017 im calling it now nintendo gonna kick ass this year. Kirby, Arceus, Advance wars, maybe a new mario, ect. Also very confident that botw 2 is coming this year, and soon. No evidence, just a hunch
@StefanN what's this suppose to mean?
I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but I'm already convinced this will be the next must-play experience on the switch, on-par with Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey... So it might be too late.
Looks amazing, day one for sure:)
@Kirby_Girl I was trying to make a joke since username is literally Kirby_Girl 😄
I like what I'm seeing here. The game has more going on than what it revealed in the first trailer. More fleshed out level design and challenges. I like the new power ups and central hud.
This isn't an open world game but a 3d game with linear and open segments. Which I'm alright with. Its Kirby's first time in a 3d game. Open World right off the bat can be a risk if they don't know what they're doing.
I see Nintendo is continuing the trend of holding out on features in the first trailer but fleshing them out and making them better in the second like they've been doing for half their entries. Like nobody knew or thought this game was going to have Co op.
This does indeed look amazing. Rescuing all the Waddle Dees reminds me of the Toad rescue mechanic in last year's Paper Mario, which was a lot of fun.
@StefanN ohhh lol 😆 Yeah... I love Kirby!
I wonder if this means the next Nintendo direct will be in February… I imagine that if it was this month, they may have announced the release date then…
But,I dunno.
@JaxonH,
Same here, day one for me, loved it since it's reveal in the last direct.
This is the game Square’s Balan wonderworld needed to copy from, but it’s coming out too late..
@HotGoomba : Ugh. Such a forgettable game. Mind you, it's also one of few games in my Switch library that I had seen to completion (the main campaign anyway).
Many may disagree, but I would have preferred a yummy HD port of Planet Robobot instead, but then I said the same about Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon when they announced Let's Go, Pikachu/Let's Go, Eevee.
Super Kirby 3D World! Looks really good.
While not a really big Kirby fan I can definitely see the reasons from this trailer on why so many people are excited. For those who are surprised/shocked that Kirby finally has a gun? Actually, he had a gun before this game. In Super Smash Bros Ultimate, if you got the Joker/Persona DLC and you let Kirby swallow Joker and take his powers? Kirby arms himself with a gun. This is to say that yes, that has happened before so the fact Kirby has a gun in the new game? Not exactly new here. Out!
THIS LOOKS SO COOL!
So friggin' solid. Game Freak take notice of what your remakes should have looked like... The art direction on this is air tight (pun mildly intended).
This game looks fantastic. I enjoyed playing through Star Allies Guest Star mode every once in awhile while I was waiting for a new title. I’m so glad it’s coming out soon haha
@SmileMan64 up to no good, I am assuming.
King Dedede ofc
@Strumpan I am getting
The Last Of Us : Kirby Edition
@NintendoJunkie
Game Freak didn’t develop the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes
If this game as a hub that deep, it would be strange to not feature free camera sometimes. But anyway, tis looked AMAZING! So colorful and yet so mysterious I mean, we all thought the city in the first trailer would be the hub but this speaks something else.
But is it me or the textures were of a higher quality in the trailer? The lighting certainly wasn't, though.
@anoyonmus You are right... "Pokemon Company" (Nintendo, Game Freak, and Creatures) should take notice. If they are publishing they are well within their means to push Art Direction.
I'm not getting my hopes up. The last one wasn't good to me, nor were any of the 3DS games or free to play or Kirby mini game stand alone releases. They probably spent too much time trying to make the multiplayer component, IMHO. I'm hoping for a good single player game like Kirby's epic yarn, but as i said, I'm not getting my hopes up. Any Nintendo games focusing on multiplayer, i can safely ignore. Fire emblem, Metroid (minus the 3ds co op atrocity),, mainline Mario games (the sidekick co op is something i can ignore, & the quality has yet to suffer from that being added 🤞), & especially Zelda are when i get my hopes up (already had to drop Paper Mario, it used to be on that list. I really wish they'd release a Mario & Luigi game on switch, since they already treat it like a portable).
@kepsux Kirby has been in a Zelda game before. That Zelda game just disn't have Hyrule or Zelda in it. Still one of my favourites, both the original and DX, as well as the remake.
It looks really good. Hope it doesn’t play too slow or easy.
Looks great. i stopped playing kirby fighters 2 because it was too hard.
@NintendoJunkie what I meant is
It was ILLCA who made the remakes not Game Freak
@anoyonmus Roger that. What I am saying as a developer in a the games industry for 20+ years, is that a producer that owns a brand and is contracting it out has total control of design, programming, marketing and art direction of their games. Pokémon Company just doesn't care enough to push harder. They know they have the biggest ip the world, and that folks will buy it regardless of the details.
Can't wait to play this with my kids!
@NintendoJunkie I see
@anoyonmus that Meta Knight scene may be a hint at an extra mode. That's one part of Kirby I always loved, the extras.
Super Kirby 3D Land
YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
@-wc- as you can tell. No need to defend the Switch. I think it's one of the greatest systems ever.
@IronMan30 yeah, maybe. Can't wait for it though.
Performance wise in the game, it looks like the frame rate is holding up pretty well. Pretty solid
@Magician
What made anyone think that Breath of the Wild 2 was gonna release in March 2022 outside of being on the anniversary of BotW's release? That would only give Pokemon Legends: Arceus only one month to breathe (no pun intended) before getting suffocated by BotW2.
This is definitely one of the biggest games for me this year aside from dying light 2 and botw 2. Once they showed bandana dee as second player I got even more hyped, seeing as how this is the first semi open world Kirby game, and they're already doing 2 player, can't wait to see what happens in later games. Hopefully there's online for the game so you don't have to be sitting on the same couch like with 3d world on switch.
@Joe-b
sorry for the ambiguity, my intention was to agree and expand on what you were saying!
😊
I know I'm usually pessimistic about newer games but this actually looks good. Like really good. After how disappointing and generic Star Allies was...this is going to be nice.
@-wc- yes, I figured! I.love how you defend the Switch. I was just making sure you knew I agreed!
On my birthday? Neat.
Kirby games are like wearing a good pair of shoes, they’re either good or great, and this one looks great.
@Grumblevolcano I didn't know there was a BDSP update coming so yeah they should have a Presents. Probably due for another teeth brushing jump roping match 3 gaming freebie as well. It's Pokemon, there's always something new to promote.
Really want to like this but can’t help feeling it will play a lot like Star Allies but with an extra dimension. The engine even looks the same. 30fps… idk, a little meh
@Dragwhite Which older ones, if you care to comment?
@BlubberWhale dream land 3 and super star are the two i'm currently playing through right now! forgot how much i absolutely adored super star tbh
@Dragwhite Awesome! I need to play both. I sorta messed around with Super Star a bit (I think), and was confronted with a bunch of weird mini games and multiplayer modes… didn’t know what the main game was and quit lol. (I’m sure it’s there… somewhere… and good too, just too many games to play.)
Only Kirby games I have real familiarity with is Dreamland 2, and Canvas Curse. (The OG original Dreamland too, but never owned it or finished it… a little bit of Adventure on NES… own it but never put much time in.)
Oh I keep remembering more. Tasted Epic Yarn (Wii), but again, didn’t really start with the intent to take on the whole game. Star Allies really put me off to modern Kirby… didn’t play it a ton… will probably make myself finish it.
Hmm… well, thanks for reading?? Lol
@BlubberWhale oooh super star is like 8 games in one package, one is a remake of the first kirby game while the rest are wholely original!
@Dragwhite Ah cool! I guess maybe I had heard that remake part before. I shall play it.
