@HobbitGamer Completely agree. Surely Nintendo can't think they can just string us along on NES titles only as part of the online service and expect it to be enough. But to be honest i don't think they have any intention of offering much else outside of those for the first year. We'll be lucky if they start doing SNES games within the next 12 months. Gamecube games are a long way off,if at all being considered. If the N64 mini is a thing then we won't see them as part of the service till about 18 months or so. But this is just my opinion

I've paid for an individual yearly membership but want to change to a family one. Anyone know if this is possible?

If I've bought the individual online membership for myself but then realised i want to upgrade to the family membership instead,do I only need to pay the difference or is it full price even though I'm just getting adding a couple of profiles? would be a bit of a vfxygbce move if you're made to pay full price for both

@BANJO it deserves to have poor sales regardless of what platform it's on. These business models shouldn't be supported. They want to load the game full of microtransactions and lock content behind in game currency, then it should be a free to play game and not charge you a £50 entry fee. I honestly thought people would be taking more of a firm stand on crap like this with the whole Battlefront 2 fiasco from last year. But it seems people have more money than sense or just no principals to not want to be ripped off

@Shellcore Exactly this. These games are designed to be overly grind heavy in order to push people towards in game currency. Which means it's intentionally done based on a mobile free to play model that's just wrapped around a £50 entry fee. I don't know how far it's going to go before people wake the hell up and say enough is enough. How much is the gold edition for this game? based on last year I'd say £120. That's criminal when all the same content is also on the base game,only you can't get to it

We all know why. The casuals play ps4 and Xbox over here and are none the wiser as to the in game purchases required to 'play' games like this. Why do you think FIFA keeps selling every year? Casuals don't care and probably think it's the norm because they don't research these things. Funny how the 'hardcore' platforms are the biggest reason these disgusting business models continue to thrive. Just look at GTA for example

@Dysnomia I had Brawl and WiiU/3ds Smash. I never stick with them. They're just not for me and would rather play other games so i wont buy the new one. That's why I'm hoping something surprising will come out of this direct

@Toadie I've still to pick that up,along with Salt and Sanctuary too. My backlog is too much already and i can't leave MHGU alone at the moment either

@Dysnomia I've bought most first party games and third party games and a fair share of indies.Currently have a back log of Hollow Knight DLC,Dead Cells,Octopath Traveller and also playing through MHGU at the moment and have got right back into it after being able to transfer my Generations save file. I cant put it down at the moment,especially after feeling MHW just lacked something I couldn't put my finger on (although I did play for around 200hrs single player as i dont have PS Plus 😆) . I've never been interested in Pokemon for the last 20 odd years and Smash is one of those games I'd rather watch people play than play myself. I get how good some people can make the game look and I like watching the character reveals etc, but I've never felt like I wanted to sink time into getting good at it. I get people love it but for those if us that don't as much,then the rest of the year looks less than interesting in my opinion from Nintendo. I'm hoping DOOM Eternal will get a release date as that's day one for me if it's coming this year 🤞😉

If it's a genuine direct focused on the Switch then I'm interested. If it's more Indies then I'll pass. I've bought enough indie games. Give us something to get excited for that isn't Smash or Pokemon (no interest in either)

Finished the game a few weeks back with 103% completion. I've still not beaten the final 'true' boss though and haven't yet looked at the latest dlc. It's fair to say that what this game delivers puts a lot of big publishers to shame with their (ripped from the base game to sell as DLC) extra content. The base game alone is worth at least twice what they're charging. They deserve all the praise for this game,it's fantastic

Will definitely pick this up once my backlog has shortened. So much to play,so little time

F-Zero GX is,to this day,still my favorite racing game. It was brutal at times but so satisfying to play and deserves a remaster of some sort. Or give SEGA another bash at a new one if Nintendo aren't willing too themselves

Will they ever get it optimised to 60fps? it's something that would improve the game tenfold. it's playable now but 60fps would be great. I've got into this game more recently and it's better than I initially thought. good game to jump in and out of on occasion

@SetupDisk Yes does seem like an after thought. I recently got it on ps4 sale thinking it would never come to Switch. Played about 4hrs or so and not touched it since. I'll pick it up on Switch at some point as I have no idea when I'd get to fit it in, between Octopath Traveler,Dead Cells(preordered),Hollow Knight DLC,MHGU,Okami HD,which I'll likely pick up too for that price,and then Salt and Sanctuary and also Dark Souls! To say there's a games drought is quite laughable really. The fact I'm not into Smash or Pokemon means I'll have some chance of clearing a backlog by the end of the year. MHGU is going to be a constant for months,even after I've imported my Generations save file.I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this too

@AlternateButtons Yes completely agree. I said the same,as did many others,when Samus returns was announced for 3DS. They're missing a trick not putting both of these on Switch

@admwllms Castle of Heart. I got it in the sale after they patched and improved it. Still yet to finish it though,and probably will get lost in my current backlog plus everything else that is coming out too

On a side note,where is the MHGU demo? The Japanese demo was out long before MHXX was released. Are Capcom intentionally trying to undermine their own game hoping it tanks?

@Perryg92 For me the problem with these digital 'sales' on retail releases is the physical copies are still cheaper if you shop around. Indie titles are the only games that benefit us as consumers in these digital sales.

On the title screen, if you let it play out,goes through the characters in order to reference the name,a nice little touch 😉

Only recently bought it on ps4 while in a sale but haven't had much chance to play it. looks like I'll be getting it on Switch too. I have so much to play at the moment so may wait for the physical release later in the year when there doesn't seem to be much for me in terms of whats coming out. Not interested in Smash or Pokemon.

Capcom where is the MHGU demo???? I have the Japanese demo but surely we're getting the same right?

@Sunset758 download the demo,give it a try and if you do buy it on the back of the demo then you can import your save into the full game. If it's not your thing then at least you'll know either way without shelling out money for it and regretting it

@tedko Well it is Capcom. And I also think MH works better on portable and with the Switch having the convenience of both tv/portable,I think it'd sell really well. The sales numbers on the 3ds games were great overall

@OorWullie you're in for quite a ride. Finished the game recently with 101% completion after 65 hours but still to defeat the 'true' final boss. Such a fantastic game and probably the best game around at the price it's at. This game puts most AAA games to shame with the amount of content there is. Wish more people would buy it because it deserves to be in the millions for sales numbers

I know way off topic but does anyone know what the software update for Hollow Knight is about?DLC or something else? It was just updating now as I took the console out of sleep mode. Doesn't seem to be anything on the news feed yet though. Currently playing and loving this game,it's fantastic

@Agramonte From Software aren't doing the port of Dark Souls so it's not distracting them from Sekiro. However,whatever the hold up is, is anyone's guess. I'm thinking they'll wait and see how Nintendo's online service holds up. A release date should have been in place by now. Surely they can't be having so much trouble getting it onto the Switch. If so someone tell them to give Panic Button a ring

@20wonders I really hope they do announce something else. Of those you listed I'll probably take a look at Warframe. The others aren't anything of interest to me. I've still to finish a bit of a backlog and would like to pick up Octopath Traveller maybe and at some point possibly Wolfenstein 2.

What is there for Nintendo Switch after Octopath Traveller for the rest of this year? I've no interest in Smash or Pokemon. Does that mean I have to wait I till early 2019 in the hope of something great coming? The momentum has fallen away this year it seems

I'll put more hours in the 3ds version if i feel the need to play it. Capcom doing their utmost to ensure they keep pissing off Switch owners.
