@Slim1999 it may have only gone live in October last year, but they've had long before then to put it together. and this is the best they can do is the point
@Dellybelly I'm not doubting what you're saying regarding exclusives as it's the reason Nintendo consoles sell, but there are plenty of indie games that deserve attention. And a lot of them, the really good ones, have generally sold the best on the Switch. For example, Dead Cells and Hollow Knight have been some of the best games I've played over the last couple of years, Hollow Knight especially, and I can't wait for the sequel that's coming. More great games is only a good thing in my opinion regardless whether they're mainstream or Indies and with the sale at the moment it certainly encourages impulse buys of games I've glossed over previously. The problem I have is finding time to play them π
@Dellybelly Well then i guess you've bought everything by the sound of it. I on the other hand haven't picked loads of these games as i think the base prices are too high. Just got all the Steamworld games for ridiculous prices and Celeste is looking tempting along with The Messenger and Bastion. I'm sure there are others that I've overlooked before and are now in this sale. Each to their own though i guess
@MattFox Thanks i may just get it. I bought the steamworld games, apart from the new one, and Bastion looks like one i may also get. The messenger I've heard is also quite good. Its very easy to rack up these buys when there's a great sale like at the moment
Celeste looks to be on offer at Β£12.05 too. I may pick that up as I've heard/read good things. Steamworld heist and dig 1&2 look to be worth a buy too. Anyone has other recomendations I'm all ears π
@Krull Not sure FromSoft will give a damn to latch it at this point. They couldn't be bothered to even ask the port guys to chance the button swap feature
@Medic_alert But the hundreds of hours you mention isn't based on content ,it's based around a ridiculous intentional grind to push you to spending money to bypass the grind. why is there 6 different currencies in the game? sounds like mobile game design more than ever. if these publishers continue to go down this road then I hope it fails. continually trying to fleece consumers shouldn't be in any way supported. Amiibos I've never bothered with so I'm with you on that one
@Fake-E-Lee Seems it's download only outside of the US. I'm in the UK and would consider importing it,only I'm not sure of the best place to look for imports
And cue the incoming articles from various gaming 'journalists' about toxic masculinity and sexism being rife in the gaming community. You know its going to happen This will all blow over before long and its only happened because its a new feature that people are going to initially do silly things like this. Give it few weeks and these stupid stages will be replaced and vastly outnumbered by people using it to make great ones. Honestly the whole being offended culture is the reason censorship is going to become more prevalent and that's the real problem that no one with common sense wants
@Zach777 Yes completely agree. I want to like it more than I do and would probably play more of it but I feel like I'm banging my head against wall at times as its too complicated to even understand what's going on or what you're supposed to do. I've done a fair few hours on it and it's still too confusing. The menus etc are a complete mess. Real shame that after so many years of it being out ,it's still the core problem issue that hasnt been addressed
@dougphisig It must be easy to find in the US then. In the UK I can't find it listed anywhere, even Amazon UK just lists the other console versions. Doesn't look good for it over here if that's the case
See ya Reggie it's been fun. On a side note, does anyone know if there's any info anywhere on Dragons Dogma? it's supposed to be out this month and I've seen nothing covering it or anywhere to actually buy it from. has it been delayed and I missed it? Never played it but looks like a good dark souls/skyrim type game to sink my teeth into
@Old-Red I too would love Sekiro to come to Switch. I finished it last night (Immortal severance ending)and I'll play through it again to get multiple endings. My game of the year so far with RE2make. Unfortunately I doubt very much it will happen
@geox30 I may pick it up. could get it on ps4 but I've heard it's pretty much a one and done, and that done is about 4 hours. I prefer to buy games that have some replay value. no doubt the port does look fantastic from what I've seen though
So whats in the 16gb mandatory day one patch i wonder? Can you even boot the game direct from the cartridge? Maybe someone should try it in flight mode and see what happens. This cheap copout out by publishers/developers is getting a little ridiculous now. I could stomach it with DOOM because it only pertained to the multiplayer, but when 60% of a game is not available on the cartridge you get out of the box, then its effectively taking the piss
game looks nice and has good characters but the gameplay is a hindrance in almost every aspect of actually PLAYING the thing. it's good but no masterpiece in terms of it being a GAME
@Matthew010 my point is that when you look what has been released so far this year on other platforms, what have Nintendo offered amongst those?a rehashed 2d Mario game. A Yoshi game is what's coming next week and that's it for this year so far. In comparison it just highlights still the lack of third party options again on the Switch, which is still what's holding it back and that's a shame as it could be so much more and MORE people would have one which is only good for the Switch
Nothing Nintendo has done this year so far has been exciting ππ.Too bad really. However I've been enjoying myself playing RE2MAKE,Witcher 3 and will start Sekiro tonight. Where are the games Nintendo?......π
@Gs69 well seeing as Google own YouTube, you're bang on the money there. The ones that are 'influenced' to praise it should be able to be seen a mile off though so no concern. A stream only service as the future of gaming is something nobody wants and I hope it falls flat on its face
7 years? if that's the case there will need to be a revision along the lines of it being more powerful/capable I think with regards to making it possible to have more current games developed for it. ps5/neXtbox 3rd party games will be a stretch too far so we can forget about those.
With this attitude, along with the recent recent details of the resident evil games,it's clear they still view the Switch and Switch only gamers as an afterthought and have no intention of releasing NEW games on the platform. I dount a new MH is coming to Switch either. Capcom are happy drip feeding old games onto the Switch and that's it
Capcom are doing this price hike with Switch only gamers in mind. With the recent success of RE2 remake(well deserved as its fantastic)and with it in no way coming to the Switch, they're hoping to play to those people desperate to get some resident evil action on Switch and will pay more to have that.Especially with 4 as its more comparable to RE2 remake. Just my opinion of course, and I'll be skipping these until they're priced at least to around 40% less than the current mark up. Unless Capcom wise up these games are going to sell terribly
I want all 3 games on cartridges, but this is Capcom. Even in the US physical release of the origins collection, only one of those is on the cartridge. Similar to what they did with the revelations collection. Another minimum effort from Capcom and i dont ever see it changing. Doesn't matter what the fans want. I'd be happy if they prove me wrong though.
I put quite a lot of hours into Dead Cells and I still haven't managed to complete it. Be interesting to see what the DLC adds to the base game though.
WHEN WHEN WHEN can i buy it?? Looks and sounds great just like the first. I still have to go back and do the last released dlc of Hollow Knight and defeat the 'true' final boss as i just couldn't do it at the time. Maybe time to go back and try again. Hornet is a great character too,so can't wait for this. I hope there are some quality of life improvements over the first though, generally with the mapping system
@Agramonte completely agree. Although I won't be buying those games you mentioned. Resident Evil 2 will have my time for a while. Then I'll be looking at Sekiro. The Switch has nothing that's even remotely exciting in comparison for me.
Is that it again for the Switch for the next month? 2 months into the year, and nearing 2 years since the Switch came out,and the best offering so far has been a port of a sub par mario platformer. It says everything when Nintendo gaming sites are having to imply and fake excitement around another cluster of forgetful indie games. Maybe it's just me but I expect better from Nintendo and feel they're getting complacent.
