Octopath Traveler is a hit, I don't think anyone's going to be denying that any time soon, but now all the dust has settled with the reviews and the like, we felt it was about time to look at some of the finer, more obtuse details that lie in wait just waiting to be put into a Nintendo Life video.
We look at why they chose the name, difficulties in China, and even a loose connection to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so make sure you check it out. It's just up there, go on, watch it.

Kinda disappointed in myself for not realising that all the main characters spell out Octopath with the first letter of their names.
I have one more thing: when you play as thief and reach lvl 13, your hp will be 666.
@8-Bit_Superman
You're right, he was disrespecting you.

... How intriguing.
I want to play this so bad. I still haven't finished Shining Renosance.
I'm not far enough into the game yet, but apparently all the main Villain's names also spell " Traveler "
The funny thing is people always say the order as Olberic, Cyrus, Therion... Spelling out Octopath. But the order should be listed as Ophelia, Cyrus, Tressa, Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn, Therion, H'aanit because that's the order of their Ch 1s starting from Ophelia going clockwise. I guess that's a little fact many people don't know, or realize.
Touché my friend.
@TossedLlama and the top comment on this article is by someone with the number 8 I their name.
The conspiracies are real...
On the title screen, if you let it play out, goes through the characters in order to reference the name,a nice little touch 😉
This is the best 2018 game on the switch by far!! Square Enix FTW !!!
It’s a fantastic game so far. Fun fact, when you beat the game with the character you started with it plays every boss “kill shot” your party had.
Good work on this!
Really fun game, highly recommend.
Everything about the art style is drop-dead gorgeous!
Alex is the best at making Nintendo Life videos fun to watch.
Tressa is my personal favorite character in the game.
Very few of those facts mentioned were old news to me.
I managed to get one of the last copies available at Target.
Definitely worth paying attention to each line's first letters.
