Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Contains A Nintendo Switch Controller Image

PlayedNSlayed

This won't be coming to Switch. Personally I doubt I'd buy it again if it did. Very overrated game for me. General gameplay and controls are not great. This game got by on the story and presentation, which is stellar, but the rest is just ok for me. I have no desire to play it again personally. It felt like it was becoming tedious and a chore long before it got to the end,and i put that mostly down to the unsatisfying gameplay, the shooting mechanics especially. It is a great looking game no doubt but you won't even get that on the Switch if it were to happen

Re: The Game Awards GOTY Is Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

PlayedNSlayed

Well deserved. For me it was between RE2Make and Sekiro. Not played Outer Worlds but heard good things. And personally I'm done with Kojimas pretentious guff so I'm glad Death Stranding didn't win. Not that any of it matters really, but nice to see FromSoft get the recognition

Re: Reggie Is Returning To The Game Awards As A Presenter

PlayedNSlayed

Will he really get to announce anything hype for Nintendo? seeing as he doesn't work for them anymore. As long as Death Stranding doesn't win Game of the Year,or this whole show will lose any credibility it's built up over last few years, where it has somewhat improved each year

Re: The Witcher Showrunner Doesn't See "Rabid" Fans As The Enemy

PlayedNSlayed

@Juma009 Unfortunately it seems Netflix can't help themselves with that kind of crap, along with Disney and everything Hollywood churns out over the last few years. But I'll give them a chance with The Witcher. I'm not too informed with regards to the material in the books so its new for me,but hopefully it'll be worth watching

Re: Of Course Pokémon Sword And Shield Is Getting Review-Bombed

PlayedNSlayed

not really been into Pokemon but got to admit the graphics on this recent one is dissappointing. when you consider they could have got it looking something like DQ11s or BOTW and it still looks like a 3ds game upscaled,I can see why fans are disappointed, not to mention the various content removed. Its not for me really but the kids will nag me to get it i imagine. So......Sword or Shield?

Re: Nintendo Will "Continue To Enhance" Switch Online Content, To Encourage More Users To Try The Service

PlayedNSlayed

My membership was due for renewal in September. I haven't bothered renewing it. Played some of the SNES games when they first released for a few minutes. I don't play online. So i doubt I'll ever pay for it again to be honest. Some people may say its only £20 a year but its still money wasted if i never use the features. Cloud saves tied to it is also bs but hey, if my saves go missing then so be it

Re: Ubisoft's Goal Is To Make All Of Its PvP Games Support Cross-Play

PlayedNSlayed

Maybe concentrate on releasing some good complete games Ubisoft. Instead of the sh*t filled monetization that you're moving towards like other crap publishers. The casuals mostly on the other platforms, where those games thrive, are really making it worse because they support those disgusting business models. Every game they release has 6 different versions, meaning if you only buy the base game you immediately know content has been purposely removed to make you buy it back. Making this acceptable and the new normal should not be supported

Re: The Elder Scrolls: Blades For Switch Requires An Online Connection

PlayedNSlayed

It also requires me to not give a damn about mobile crap on the Switch with shady business practices.Always online? what is the reason? how do they justify this? why is it required? gaming slowly moving in a worse direction. if this is what's to come and more common in the next generation of consoles with regards to game designs, then I'll be sticking to current and retro games for the foreseeable future

Re: Capcom Looking To "Awaken" Past Franchises After The "Indisputable Successes" Of Resident Evil And Monster Hunter

PlayedNSlayed

Notice how they mention games that are not even on the Switch?MHW & RE2 remake. Capcoms intentions are clear when it comes to the Switch. Put out much older, overpriced crap ports, with no regard for quality of said ports and that'll do. In the meantime, put out all the good stuff and new releases on other systems.Nintendo websites will continue to give them coverage of future games that they still won't bring to the Switch. Their current intentions don't suggest any changes coming in that regard. Unless they're trying find a way of porting MHW to the Switch, don't expect a new MH at all for the system

@KIRO 😁 I'm in the UK. got an email Friday afternoon to say it was despatched and it arrived this morning. not had chance to start it yet. There is a 3gb download when I updated the software. I'm thinking it may be the optional languages. I was surprised with the download but it seems this was also an extra download option on other platforms so I can only assume it's the same on Switch. Good luck getting yours on time 👍

Re: UK Charts: FIFA 20 Scores Third Week At Number One As Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Races Into Third

PlayedNSlayed

@Silly_G Any new game I get I always go to the update software option before starting it to see if there is a patch. I don't know if is mandatory in that sense as i didn't click on the game icon itself.I checked under software in data management settings and its listed as 3.1gb on my sd card. Just thought there would be some info out there about it as they've been very transparent with all the info they've shared

Anyone know what the day one 3gb patch is for The Witcher 3? got my copy early and its downloading this patch. Thought there'd be some reviews out by now or at least some update around something like this. CDPR are good about sharing this kind of stuff, but I've not heard anything regarding the day one download. Come on NintendoLife give us some info if not the review!

Re: European Version Of The Rebel Collection Lists Assassin's Creed Rogue As A Download

PlayedNSlayed

Another one added to the list of non purchases then. CDPR will deserve the sales they'll get for the Witcher 3(I hope it'll be large numbers). They continue to put these 'AAA' third party publishers/developers to shame. Ubisoft continue to show, along with EA,Activision, as to why I haven't bought one of their games for many years. Mario Rabbids is an exception seeing as they couldn't actively screw that up as its a Nintendo game really. Personally I'm pretty much done with these big third party developers new games,if that's what you can even call the majority of them these days. As they're now just touted as (barebone) 'live services'. And they still manage to mess up
re-releases of their older games. Its kind of worrying where gaming is heading really. Especially when you look at the crap surrounding Google Stadia. I hope that thing fails hard

Re: Switch Is Getting An Officially-Licensed Mario Kart Racing Wheel

PlayedNSlayed

Does this mean I can hold out hope of my Thrustmaster t150 working on the Switch in the near future? I really like grid but playing with a controller is a mile away from being how to best play it,never mind one with digital triggers. Yes I'm aware the gamecube controller is supported but a FFB wheel will always be best for racing games

Re: Win Dragon Quest XI S Or The Witcher 3 Figures When You Pre-Order From Nintendo UK

PlayedNSlayed

Already pre-ordered The Witcher 3 for near £10 less than the UK store so I'm good. Everything that comes with the complete edition are great little extras too. DQ11 I'm not sure about personally but may pick up down the line. Ni No Kuni i also considered this month, but knowing the Switch has been shafted with the original ps3 port rather than the upcoming remastered version going to other platforms has turned me off completely. GRID looks to be worth a pick up too, shame its download only though.
