Sony was clever. They kept raising the price over time so that when they finally did a steep discount it was just the OG price haha. Surely PS5 did so well over BF because they had greater perceived value.

Funny to see people complaining about the current Switch 2 price when that too is likely to increase next year as well as every other electronic impacted by the AI industry.

Whether there's a huge tonal shift or not, it will very likely still be an excellent game.

@FaroreAbhorsen completely agree with this. Gamechat allows me to play with siblings and friends around the country and in other continents in a super conviently way.

In the world that exists outside the USA and UK there are sales. Here in Australia most large retailers have discounts on the bundle. Best I've seen is almost $100 AUD off. I've also never seen Nintendo advertised so much before here. Its on billboards everywhere.

Do leakers actually gain some sort or finical incentive from stealing data and leaking it or are they like the Joker and just want to see the world burn? Does the group have an active ransom that they are trying to get TPC to pay? The only tangible benefactor i can see are
increased traffic to news sites and forums that report on it.

So glad i don't need to tick boxes to enjoy games. Just need engaging gameplay.

How does the 2 player free roam while waiting for the next race differ from before exactly?

Omg, i can't believe they are making Metroid an fps. Cant we just have more Super? Metroid will never work in 3D. It must be exhausting being pessimistic.

Cronos has no reviews on Switch 2 yet except some minor videos on performance. PS5, PC and Xbox do, however. There's probably plenty of folks waiting for a decent amount of Switch centric reviews to popup.

@H3X3NH4MM3R shame those more performant versions don't have gyro like the NS2 one has.

Pressing A button to jump has always felt more natural to me but I can generally adapt to most control schemes. Learning gyro for splatoon was probably the most challenging but also rewarding.

I've almost hit 60 hours and still have loads to do. Im really thankful that i have people i can play couch coop with and some long time rivals that now live far away i can play online with. The online play with randoms feels like pure chaos. I feel like Mario Kart is always best enjoyed with friends.

Sadly, since COVID, this kind of situation has become almost normal across many industries.

I wonder if its even financially feasible remaking some of this games without taking massive shortcuts. While the first two remakes were flawed, seems like they had pretty bad sales. Forever Entertainment probably had to small a budget given by Square to do a decent job at these, so some of the flames should definitely be fanned towards Square here too.

Disappointing but understandable. Techland probably have no interest looking at the switch port seeing as though Virtuos handled the miracle port originally.

Hopefully this is the same price as Kirby's dream buffet.

@RobbWes Thanks. I tried that but it didn't work unfortunately. Seems like the issue is mostly happening with Huawei wireless headphones. Its early days though so hopefully a fix will come through soon.

Hope they fix the bluetooth for headphones. I can't get mine to work that did work on switch 1

Free roam has actually been my favorite part so far—I’ve already spent way too much time in it. Beyond the collectibles and the interesting world design, the driving just feels really good. Once you understand the kart controls you can move so freely and get anywhere. Sometimes all it takes is a great song and a beautiful sunset, and I find myself getting completely lost in the vibe. It kinda reminds me of skell flight mode in Xenoblade Chronicles X. I would always run out of fuel because i was enjoying flying around too much. I think some people are disappointed because they wanted a new Mario platformer in thier heart, need a checklist or need tangible rewards to explore rather than just for explorations sake.

@Truegamer79 Here's my theory, they get engagement from both people wanting to defend the system and want to hate on it. Its really win win for them. Positive videos will have a more limited audience and thus less traffic. Like nintendo life, these creators live and die on people getting engaged in the comments and repeatedly coming back.

I get bummed out when i jump on new sites and youtube and its just reposting of Nintendo Today content. Seriously though, its such a pleasant app to use. Part of my morning routine.

Imagine if antiques roadshow is still a thing in the future and we get all the game collectors on there. That would be great fun.

I stopped collecting things after a bunch of long distance moves. Its all just memories now.

Hope we still get more blight club. Jeff, Dan and Mike's antics can't just disappear.

@AgrippaDaRippa I'm in the same boat. Like wtf? This fundamentally changes how my partner and i use our switches. It was never a loophole. It was a feature that made use buy a second console.

To loose a feature i use almost daily (playing online with two switches) feels pretty wrong. I probably wouldn't have bought the second switch if this feature didn't exist. I almost still cant believe it. No more splatoon 3 with my partner on the weekend

@karlhendrikse not really. Its just cute comics and concept art mostly with different edits of trailers.

I check it every morning. Its really nice. I didn't expect to keep using it but it really stuck. Its a pleasant experience like walking through a garden in the morning. Might not be a big enough dopamine hit for some though.

Did anyone else feel burnt out on the edler scrolls by the time skyrim came along? Really enjoyed morrowind and oblivion but couldn't get far in skyrim. Excited for this remaster. Cant wait for Patrick Stewart's buttery smooth voice.

@Yoshi3 sorry, im talking more broadly about a lot of the news coming about across outlets lately. For instance, the recent game card game code fiasco briefly mention in the article. Outlets jump the gun without corroborating the story then a day later need to retract it.

All this news about the Switch has reinforced how low-quality much of the gaming media is. Why not be patient and wait to report information until it has been corroborated?

Is so easy to emulate these days and you often get a much better experience. Anyone into retro gaming would be saying this. Its not as if there's any difference between digital versions of a games either. It just doesn't really feel like an issue without a perfectly good solution already present.

If slightly censoring the game to align with Western values leads to increased sales and a wider audience, I’m not against it. Xenoblade deserves so much more, and I think many would agree. Plus, if history tells us anything, Monolith Software will eventually do a complete 180 and create something like XB2 again.

On the other hand, if the game does reach a larger audience and secures a bigger budget, it would likely need to be very vanilla, with no rough edges etc, to ensure it’s appropriate for the widest possible audience (e.g., Hollywood blockbusters). That leaves me back at square one. Maybe Xenoblade is better off remaining niche.

@FredsBodyDouble there is, aleast i saw one for presale on Xaiohongshu from Hong Kong. It comes in a cool magnetic folding storage box. Not sure which bonus come with it from the post though.
