Great! The people who didn't play X and Y missed out, I think they are my favourite Pokémon games to date. I'm a huge Pokémon fan, I recently got myself an Inkay plush (my favourite Pokémon from Gen VI). I've pre-ordered Pokémon Moon for me and Sun for my BF. Really excited about the game. I already decided on Litten as my starter.
I would love to buy the Switch with Splatoon already installed. I'm not always a big fan of ports, but Splatoon is a game I really enjoy. A game I would really like to see on the Switch and one of the games I already know I will get for my Switch if I can.
I guess I'm a hardcore Nintendo fan considering I'vr bought 5 3DS'es (not all of them for me) and I own a Wii U I still use. I had a DS and a Wii. But I'm alone, none of my friends are Nintendo fans. Have a feeling I'll be the only one with a Nintendo Switch, until I buy one for my BF. I love how the Switch looks so far. Just please have a touch screen and a batterylife of at least 3 hours, preferably more like 5.
I like this list, however I think they need at least one title (preferably two) that targets more mature gamers. Something like Mertroid or a good third party title from a company like Ubisoft or EA. I really hope that Splatoon (or is it Spla2oon now?) makes it to the NX. And considering how much work Nintendo put into Super Smash Brothers for Wii U and 3DS, I think it deserves being ported (properly) to the NX.
Naming your children after Pokémon is a bit extreme. Some names can work though. I'm a cat breeder, and I name kittens from our cattery after Pokémon, although it's not because of Pokémon Go. Really, you've had to be blind and deaf to avoid the news of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Of course it's the most mentioned game.
It would also have been the most mentioned game if people from Nintendo had just lined up at random places at E3 with megaphones, yelling: "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD! COMMING TO WII U AND NINTENDO NX!"
Wow. Of course my personal favourite is Chimecho. Not for it's fighting skills, but rather it's cuteness in the anime (James Chimecho was the one to first impress me) and the game. That said, I love Greninja too, and I think it deserves the 1st spot. Froakie was my Pokémon X starter, and I would do the same choice over again.
Well, I have yet to try Miitomo because I live in Norway.
I really think Nintendo should have mobile games / apps to launch worldwide, not selected countries.
Apparently Miitomo will launch in Norway eventually, but I think they might be a little late. I'm probably going to download it, but considering that others have already stopped using the app, that will probably impact how I experience it.
I like scores, a review without a score is just not as easy to understand. It's best to be able to compare the review with other reviews written by the same person(s). Then you get a better picture of how in dept the review is and if it's objective, subjective or as in most cases a little of both.
@A01 Hyrule Warriors only has slight problems on the Gamepad during co-op. I actually find the multiplayer the best part of the game, so it hasn't really been a problem for me.
Whatever. I'll guess I'll find out when the game comes out. Don't want to start pulling my hair too soon. A new trailer would be good though, give us one Nintendo.
I'm not sure if I think this is real or not, but it seems to be lacking good buttons.
That's the main reason I don't use my iPhone 6s Plus for gaming, it's lacking buttons. And I'm not into carrying a portable controller for my iPhone of the size of a Wii U pro controller everywhere I go. Apple don't care, they make enough money on people playing crappy games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja. They don't need the buttons. People don't buy an iPhone for the buttons.
Nintendo need their buttons or no one will buy their product. Just imagine the Wii U without buttons... But I actually believe Nintendo knows this.
This is my most wanted game of the year. I will get this at launch, and play it as soon as I get the chance. I've been waiting a long time for this game and I hope it will be worth it.
Other than the fact that the trailer is stuffed with spoilers, it's beautiful and reminds me of how much I loved playing this game the first time. I really am getting exited to play it again in HD.
The spoilers are not a problem for me, as I have played the game before, but I feel like this trailer is so much of a spoiler that I would not recommend people to watch it. I would tell them to watch the original trailer for Twilight Princess for Wii and tell them to make sure to stay away from the trailers for the HD version unless they want major spoilers.
But maybe slightly too revealing for people who haven't played the game before? Unless they already got a huge spoiler from playing Hyrule Warriors (Hyrule Warriors should be marked on the box as a huge spoiler for Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. I had played all those games before I played Hyrule Warriors, but I know some people haven't). Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this game. And I need a Ganondorf Amiibo.
I disagree with most people, I think Nintendo has done a really good job here. I love how they mostly have kept the original colour palette and the character designs. I also think the game looks a lot better at the same time as it has kept the Twilight Princess feeling.
I do see an issue with giving Link a voice. It would have to be perfect, and as people have different ideas of what Links voice should be like in their heads, it would be difficult not to disappoint some fans. If they do it wrong, they could end up disappointing more fans than they please. I feel that even if they end up giving Link a voice, he shouldn't speak too much.
It does not look very comfortable, but I kind of want it. Not sure if I will go out of my way to get this though. If I can get it without importing it perhaps. If they make a limited edition of the game I will probably buy it, I've been waiting a long time for this game.
I'm probably going to try this, I wanted to play it years ago on DS, but I could never get my hands on a copy. This time around, that issue should be long gone as I suspect I can even download it from the eShop.
Wait.. What? Co-op is the best thing about Hyrule Warriors, that's what I like about the game. I have this version pre-ordered, but I'm not so sure I'm going to love it as much as I thought.
My BF would love another Theatrhythm game, he has played both the previous titles and quite a lot too. It's the only 3DS games he really seem to love, other than Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure (he seriously got A rank on all to unlock the secret ending).
@kenzo I played Resident Evil and other similar games on my old 3DS, I had no problems with the 3D effect as holding the 3DS still or moving my head with the console was not a problem for me. I do understand that not everyone else feel the same as me though, and most people think the 3D effect has improved. I just wanted to point out that I actually honestly liked the old 3D effect better. And the loss of colouring on the inner camera is a huge loss if you like taking photos of yourself (like I do).
I love my New 3DS XL Limited Edition: Majora's Mask. I think the "improved 3D effect" is quite a let down though. I loved the quality of the 3D effect on the old versions, just keep the 3DS still and it's perfect. On my new one, it gets out of focus just a little bit every 15 minutes or so and it gets tiering on my eyes after an hour or two. I should probably mention: Yes, I use the 3D effect a lot. The inner camera on the New 3DS also falls short. The coloring is unnatural and mostly white, gray or purple, except for eyes, they are jet black.
I recently got Xenoblade Chronicles 3D and I'm currently in the middle of it. The game is quite impressive on the 3DS. I didn't really expect it to be as good as it is. I hope they will make more "New 3DS exclusive" software in 2016.
Not yet. I've got it on my Mac and I've gotten a bit tired of it, maybe I'll get it on Wii U in the end. If I get it, it will be for the multiplayer. I have so many other games that I like and still haven't finished.
I guess Splatoon was the most memorable game for me this year. I really love it. I also got my "new 3DS XL Majoras Mask Limited Edition" this year. It's my third 3DS and I still love my 3DS. I almost use it as much as my iPhone 6s Plus.
When I think about "Nintendo in 2015", Satoru Iwata's passing is the first thing that comes to mind. It was a great loss for Nintendo and every gamer in the world. I was crushed when I heard the news after returning home from vacation.
Other than that, I think Nintendo had a pretty decent year. I was very happy when they announced the Twilight Princess HD remake, it's my favorite game and I can't wait to play it in HD. I want to see more Zelda Wii U and get more info about the Nintendo NX in 2016. And that Pokémon go app, don't forget that.
Maybe there will be a decent Pokédex app for iOS and android, and maybe even for the 3DS. The current one is still stuck in generation V, unless you get one of those that aren't made by Nintendo and I will not resort to that.
I feel like it's a bit too bright. The colouring isn't "Twilight Princess" but more "Ocarina of Time" at least I that's what I thought. I like the shadowy & darkness-like colors that the original Twilight Princess have and it seams Nintendo will stick to that. Otherwise this is pretty good.
Splatoon should win best shooter. Yes, really. It's the only game nominated for best shooter that isn't just a follow up or new version of an old idea with some new story. I also think Splatoon deserves game of the year. Splatoon is one of the most fresh and new games that's been out in a long time. Best multiplayer though, isn't for Splatoon. No voice chat. Best family game isn't for Splatoon either, the lack of proper local multiplayer and only being able to play online one person at a time makes it that way.
I have actually been thinking I want a HD remake of Twilight Princess for a long time. Ever since I saw that amazing demo with Link and Armoghoma. But otherwise I mostly agree with this. I like how they point out that you can only play online one person at a time in Splatoon. Nintendo needs to act. Either make it possible to play offline multiplayer 2vs2 and/or 4vs4 or make it possible to play at least 2 people online at the time. Doesn't the Wii U support multiple GamePads? I would buy an additional GamePad if that meant I could play Splatoon online together with another person.
