Re: Splatoon Creation Was Inspired by Rare's Perfect Dark

Phle

I've never played Perfect Dark, so I can't say I do.

But I really like how Splatoon looks FUN. I mean really fun, I've never seen a shooter that I looked fun the way Splatoon does. I already pre-ordered the game with the squid Amiibo (^_^) I'm probably going to get the two other Splatoon Amiibos as well.

Re: Zelda Lookalike Oceanhorn: Monster Of Uncharted Seas Could Be Sailing To Consoles

Phle

This game is probably a good game.

What I dislike is the creators lack of imagination to make their own monsters, their own boat, their own way of getting random items and not just take the pots and the grass chopping from Zelda. There is nothing wrong with wanting to create a game with a Zelda like type of gameplay, but that doesn't mean you should take designs from an already existing game.

Look at Darksiders, they made a game with a Zelda like gameplay. But they made their own game. That's what other developers should do when they think: "Wind Waker is great, I want to make a game like that". They should create their own game, not Wind Waker with modified story and characters.

I would have been embarrassed if I made a game like this and people asked how I came up with all the amazing ideas and for every idea I had to answer: "I got it from a Zelda game I once played..."

Re: Swedish Newspaper Questions The European Release Of Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson

This game doesn't bother me, and I'm a woman. That said I haven't played the game myself, only seen trailers and such.

It's like @Pokefanmum82 said: It's just a game.

Some women tends to overreact on how fictional female characters are designed. Either they made them too thin (anorexic looking and tall), they are too well shaped (big boobs and round hips), too perfect or too young. What they mean to say is: they want chubby, tiny chested, ugly ladies in their mid 30's everywhere. I hope that never happens.

Re: Pokémon Shuffle Updated Once Again, Adds a Special Kyogre Challenge

Phle

I got one (^_^)
Why is Kyogre so much more powerful than Mew?

This game seems to have it's own stats for each Pokémon and totally ignore the National Pokédex in terms of power, ability and sometimes type (I realise that they merge a Pokémon's types into one, but sometimes I disagree about their choice among the two types. Like Marill is usually water and fairy, I would say it's main type is water, but in Pokémon Shuffle they have chosen fairy).

Re: Accessory Review: WaterField New Nintendo 3DS and XL Cases

Phle

I own both the New Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket also known as the "Regular Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket" and the New Nintendo 3DS XL CitySlicker Case also known as the "Regular Nintendo 3DS XL CitySlicker Case", as neither of them has been modified for the New XL.

They said they didn't need to modify it in order for the New 3DS XL to fit perfectly and that's true for the New Nintendo 3DS XL CitySlicker Case.

However the New Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket is slightly short on the New 3DS XL and they could have added a 5mm length to make it a proper fit for the New 3DS XL. I recently bought a New Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket for my boyfriend and can confirm that it haven't been changed as I already own a Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket and they are the same when compared. I also asked about this when I ordered it.

Even so, I highly recommend both cases. The New Nintendo 3DS XL CitySlicker Case has one thing worth mentioning: I tend to get less StreetPass when I use this case.

Also: The New 3DS XL will NOT slide out the New Nintendo 3DS XL Suede Jacket, it's actually pretty tight and you have to pull carefully to get the New 3DS XL out. It's a very useful case if you would like to keep your New 3DS XL as portable as possible. The pocket is perfect for a slim game card holder that holds 1-3 games.

Re: Soapbox: Portable Gaming Forges a Special Relationship With the Player, and Nintendo is the Master in the Field

Phle

My first gaming console was a DS Lite. I liked it a lot, played so many games on it. However the 3DS was the first console to steal my heart. I just got a New 3DS XL, Majoras Mask Edition, my third 3DS in total. The first one was a pretty random buy. I heard the reviews and thought I didn't need one, but got one as a comfort after a having an unusual hard day. That was in October 2011. Almost every day since then I've been playing on my 3DS before I go to sleep. I always bring it with me. I have a scary amount of the 3DS library, most of them in boxed copies. I got my sister a 3DS XL a few years ago and yesterday I gave my boyfriend a New 3DS XL as a Valentines Day gift. I can only hope he'll like it as much as I do.

Re: Guide: How to Complete a System Transfer from a 3DS to a New Nintendo 3DS / XL

Phle

@ThomasBW84 I'm getting more and more confused as I read more about this as people keeps giving away different information.

I'm already using a 32g Micro SD card with my old 3DS. I'm getting the Majora's Mask Limited edition that comes with the game pre-installed. Now, if I do the system transfer and select "No" when when asked if I'm using an SD card with my system (as I already use a Micro SD card with an adapter), will I be able to redownload Majora's Mask after the system transfer is complete?

Is the Animal Crossing saving data issue true? That you have to delete the game from your console and create a unique save data backup (that from what I hear can't be made in any other way, as far as I know it only goes for Animal Crossing and Pokémon) before you transfer the games to your new console, if you are going to use Wireless Transfer (Limited Data) and maybe other Transfer methods as well? I'm not too concerned if I can put my current Micro SD card in my New 3DS, but I know others wonders about this as well...

Re: Video: New Nintendo 3DS XL Commercials Show Off Majora's Mask 3D and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Phle

Nintendo should do TV commercials. And other commercials.

I mean, I have never seen a Nintendo commercial other than the ones I see here, watching the official Nintendo YouTube channel, or visiting their official pages.

I even recently learned that Nintendo has this cool guide booklet featuring all their best Wii U and 3DS games. I learned it by answering a quiz from Nintendo and one of the questions was about some of the pages in that book. I had to use Google to find the PDF version. It was great! So sad you can't see it in stores, it was obviously meant to be a free guide to what games you should get for your Nintendo console. No one looks for something like that on Google.

Re: Developers Outline Their Ideas for Nintendo's Next Generation Handheld

Phle

Well, I hope they will have backward comparability. I love that with the 3DS and the Wii U. They have so many great games on DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U. Don't let them dust away. Sony made a terrible choice for the PS4, because I would have bought one if I could play PS3 games on it, but I can't and then my entire interest just died.
I also hope that they don't make their next console a phone. A tablet or a gaming console maybe even with android or iOS support would be okay.
The portable console and home console working together as one, sounds like an interesting idea.
I also hope they will have more online support, so it would be easier to play online and create online games for other developers. Maybe even optional 4G support and better web browsers. 4G support can make sense on a portable console.
I hope they will choose to have a higher resolution screen and a more powerful system next time. I'm not the tech obsessed kind of person, and I think most 3DS games look great, some gamers however, would disagree with me. Nintendo could benefit from it, like when you watch YouTube videos on your 3DS, it's suddenly clear, some video's are just too detailed to watch on the 3DS. Also, I think with a higher resolution screen and a more powerful system, more developers would be interested in creating games for the system. Nintendo makes great games, but their console would be even better with a good 3rd party support.

And one more thing: a solid good name. Nothing confusing like "The NEW 3DS" just did.

Re: Review: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS)

Phle

I really can't wait to play this game! I love that they made a remake, I have never played this game before. Same with Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, although they where remakes, they where all new to me, as I had never played them before. I don't see why people complain.

Re: Talking Point: The Time Is Right For A Nintendo Phone

Phle

I voted "maybe". Because it would have to be my other phone. Sorry, but I have an iPhone and I can't see myself without one. So it would be a second phone, the one I used for gaming and not for calling, texting or using apps. I don't know how many people who wants a second phone. I think it's few. I really don't want one. But if Nintendo made their next handheld a phone and gaming console combined in one thing, I might get one, just to play their games. But I would much rather just have their new handheld gaming console.

Re: The 3DS Proves to Be a Popular Music Player in Japan

Phle

Well, I already carry my iPod everywhere. Together with my 3DS XL and my iPhone. So I wouldn't use my 3DS XL for music. But it's cool that some people do. I'm not sure I can use my 3DS XL for listening to music, other than with YouTube.

Re: Review: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Wii U)

Phle

I scrolled to take a look at the score right away. I was expecting something between 8 and 10 of 10. The score pending surprised me, but I makes sense when you can't try the online part of the game yet.

Re: New Super Mario Bros. Wii Hits 10 Million Sales Mark In The US

Phle

Why does people still buy the Wii game? I mean if you couldn't get a very similar game on the Wii U, like if you want to play Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess it makes sense. But isn't the Mario platformers on the Wii U good enough to keep you from getting a Wii Mario platformer? Yeah, I know crazed fans think differently, but most people? Super Mario Galaxy sounds like a special experience that you might not be able to get on the Wii U, but New Super Mario Bros. Wii? This is either incredibly bad news for the Wii U or New Super Mario Bros. Wii has to be a legendary experience.

Re: Video: How Does Watch Dogs Use The Wii U GamePad?

Phle

I decided a long time ago I would get watch_dogs and I haven't changed my mind. I love games that use the GamePad, even if it's just small festures. At the same time I hate games that don't use it at all. Like if the game has a map and you can't view it on the GamePad.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Offers the Best of Both Worlds with Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

Phle

Got to say it again, never played the original games. I wasn't allowed playing games as a kid and I got my first gaming console when I was about 20. My parents didn't like it. I got into Nintendo games because of Pokémon. I've always been a fan.

I had a dream not so long ago where I was playing Omega Ruby and choose a Treecko as my stater. So my starter will be Treecko.

Re: I'll Take Zelda And Mario Over Sharing Call Of Duty With Sony And Microsoft, Says Reggie Fils-Aime

Phle

Even if you're not a Nintendo fan, Wii U has claimed the spot for "the best second home console". What I mean is, if you already own a PS4 or an XBOX One, and you want to get a second home console, Wii U is the obvious best choice. That's pretty good news for Nintendo. They just need to make gamers see the games they will miss out on without a Wii U. So more advertising Nintendo!

Personally I only own a Wii U, I'll consider PS4 when you can play ALL the Kingdom Hearts HD games on that console and only that console. I'm not getting a PS3 ever. Or XBOX One for that matter. So if it's not happening, I can live without Kingdom Hearts. I have Zelda, and I like it more.
